I stopped by this place last night 6/19/2026...Yes Juneteenth with the intention of supporting a Black-owned business. Unfortunately, my experience started off and ended on the wrong foot. The woman behind the COVID screen greeted me with an attitude almost immediately. I mentioned that it was my first time visiting, but that didn't seem to matter. She started firing off questions about my order, and since I had never been there before, I wasn't familiar with the menu. I'm not sure why some restaurants expect first time customers to have everything figured out in a few minutes. Every question I asked seemed to irritate her. She barely made eye contact and acted genuinely bothered that I was there. When I asked what sauces were available, she actually sighed before answering. It's a strange feeling when you're trying to support a business and spend your money there, yet you're treated as though you're inconveniencing the staff. What made the interaction more frustrating is that there wasn't a single person behind me in line. There was no rush, no crowd, and no obvious reason for the impatience. A little courtesy and patience go a long way, especially with first-time customers. As for the food, it looked beautiful in the photos, but the flavor didn't quite match the presentation. The boneless wings were overwhelmingly salty. Easily the saltiest thing I've had in a long time. The bone-in wings, however, were flavorful and enjoyable. The fries were well prepared, and they provided a generous serving of ranch, which was appreciated. In the end, the food simply wasn't good enough to justify the attitude. Customer service matters, especially in the hospitality industry. No one is asking for staff to be overly accommodating or put on a performance, but BASIC patience, professionalism, and kindness should be expected. First-time customers will have questions, and that's part of the job. If this business wants continued support from the community, the customer experience needs as much attention as the food. Walked in 45 minutes before they close and immediately was greeted with attitude you have to order to go. You can't order for here that was after waiting three minutes for them to come from the back to have an acknowledge that we were standing there.! then when I was in the process of ordering tenders mind you I had never eaten there before she asked. What sauce do you want? I said oh man, you have suicide I'll take that but on the side obviously if it's too much I don't want it to be covering the entire tender she said nope we don't do that one on the side exactly like that with an attitude. I said ok. Why is that? Is it a cost issue because I'll pay extra she said nope we just don't do that. You can have any other one on the side. At that point, I decided I was over. I went to the laundromat to eat my wings - I got lemon pepper wings btw - get them if you're seeing this) and made a scene there XD, when something is bomb I make a scene hahahaha, MAN these wings I could kiss whoever made them on the mouth !!! My Mom wanted some catfish without having to cook it herself so I hopped on trusty Yelp and found this little gem. The place is really small but has seating if you would like to dine in, but I could see it becoming a little uncomfortable if the place were even just half full. It was completely empty when we came, with one person coming in to pick up food and another looking to try it for the first time. I ordered the catfish for me and Mom and thought I'd try the chicken tenders too since I was here. We waited for almost 30 minutes, so be prepared to wait a long time depending on what you order, even if there's no one in there. But when the food got to us, man did it smell delicious! Even my Mom had to admit that their catfish was the closest to hers that she has ever tasted, and I agreed. And the chicken tenders were as close to Chicken Shack that I've ever tasted. So so good! Haven't tried the food yet, but I did not have a good experience. I did not see their handwritten cardboard sign way above the cash register --I'm only 5'. Not only was the sign not at eye level, I was caught off caught by the cashier holding her baby wearing gloves. Anyways with all this, I still order the food $29 and left a 25% tip. And waited about 25 mins. When the cashier/cook (no clue where the baby went brings out my order (to go even though she didn't ask whether I wanted it to go or not) she says I can't have a drink When people come in they are looking to order not read everything around your restaurant; if it's a hard and fast rule bring it to the customer's attention BEFORE they order not AFTER. I've been there about 4 times for the food, the wings are amazing but the service is awful. The employees are very rude and not nice at all. You don't have to be rude especially to customers that are paying for your bills. Big mamas is a good place to eat but if you are thinking of eating there place a to go order! My first time at Big Mamas! I was so excited to finally try a new wings spot that even has fried catfish (my fav!) I came on a weekday around lunch, it wasn't too busy. There were one or two people inside as well but the wait was around 20-25 minutes for each person. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp combo with fries (soooo good). The fish was so crispy and well battered. The shrimp was delicious as well! I also ordered the 5 piece bone-in wings with parmesan. Sooooo good. The wings were quite small but nonetheless the flavor was there and the buttermilk ranch complimented it so well. The atmosphere is quite nice and clean, and I could imagine it gets busier at nighttime. Would def come back to try more! read more

My husband and I recently placed a takeout order at Big Mama's Wings & Things in Henderson, Nevada. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. While placing our order, my husband was simply attempting to be friendly and courteous to the person who answered the phone. When we arrived to pick up our food, a misunderstanding apparently occurred regarding that conversation. Rather than professionally addressing the situation, the restaurant owners approached us in an aggressive and confrontational manner. As I attempted to explain that no inappropriate intentions were meant and that I had been present during the phone conversation, the situation escalated. The male owner became verbally hostile and stepped toward me in an intimidating manner. He also acted aggressively toward my husband. As customers, we should never have been placed in a situation where we felt threatened or unsafe while picking up a food order. Due to the confrontation and hostile atmosphere, we chose not to accept our food and requested a refund. We left the restaurant feeling shocked by how the situation was handled. In addition to this incident, we found the customer service to be unfriendly and unprofessional. A positive customer experience requires respect, professionalism, and effective communication. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect those values. We believe customers should be aware of our experience before choosing to patronize this establishment. While misunderstandings can happen, there is no excuse for aggressive behavior toward customers. read more

Have been back almost every 2 weeks since trying it for the first time a few months ago, definitely mine and husbands go to wing spot right now. Wing sauce is amazing, the mild has a perfect balance of buttery and heat. My husband gets suicide/hot flavor and he says that it's is flavorful heat as well as melt your face off hot in a good way! Assuming everything is made to order because it's always hot and ready for pickup in about 20 minutes, 25 on busier days. Quality is consistent and wings are never dry or lacking in flavor. Inside is cute but I usually pick up to-go. With food this good, and prices like this, I do not care or notice if you smile at me or not. They have NEVER been rude! This spot is near my place and never knew. We went with the chicken fingers, fries and catfish. We were told it'd be about 20 mins...not a big deal and we knew it would be fresh. We just walked around La Bonita next door for a little bit. Everything was hot and crispy and had great flavor including the fries. The chicken fingers had the perfect breading amount that I like and you have the option for other flavors with the breading. I just like mine plain. Then I tried the lemon pepper chicken fingers and have been ordering them ever since. Some of the best chicken tenders in town! Just the right balance of delicious flavors. I also ordered the 5 pc chicken wings and overall spent $27 on my food. The first thing i noticed when picking up my food the bag felt very light. I checked in my car and I had 2 containers and food in both. My problem is I actually weighed my shrimp to see if it was close to the 1/2lb. My picture says it all. Even if it was a per piece type of deal, there's no damn way I'll pay $18 for 8 mid size shrimp. And then the wings were also on the small side. Only thing big here is the lady's attitude at the cash register food was good but I wouldn't go back due to crap customer service. I was nice and patient though because I don't catch attitudes with people making my food. There's a sign at the front that say LISTEN when they're repeating back your order yet there's two TVs at top volume along with the radio playing. I came there to dine in but after I peeped her vibe I took my food to go. Not sure if it's on purpose but she was rude and talking to me like I'm slow after I told her it's my first time there. Well, I went in with a open mind. The service was excellent, I can't see what others spoke of. The waitress was "GORGEOUS"! I mean stunning, she's not fake friendly so I can see how some considered that rude or not hospitable. So A+ there! Now, the fish was extremely salty. So salty I couldn't eat it. I decided not to judge based on one experience and gave it another shot a few months later. Unfortunately, it happened again same energy, same mistake, and no real effort to fix it. To be fair, I'm not overly picky, and I can roll with things if the food makes up for it. But in this case, it just didn't. The food is way overpriced for what ends up being pretty average. Honestly, I'm not a fan of Wingstop at all, but based on quality and consistency, Wingstop feels like a better option for the money. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but I do feel like others should know what they're walking into. This was my first time here and what a very bad experience. Firstvthe customer service was terrible. I should've walked out when I spoke and the lady at the counter did not speak back. I told her "it's my first time here". I wanted TJ try the wings and can't have anything spicy. She just said "oh okay take your time".
