There are a few things to note, though. This isn't health food, but it's not meant to be! It's comfort food. A number of dishes tend to be on the salty side (and there is some variation), but never too salty for me. For some that have lower salt diets, though, it may be a bit much. The portions are large, and when you factor in that many come with a side and cornbread, it usually means two meals from one order for me. This is a family run restaurant and the atmosphere reflects that - everyone is nice and familiar with each other. Depending on how many people are working and how busy it is, it may take a minute before your order gets taken. And it's not fast food, so plan to spend a little time waiting while your order is cooked. You can alleviate that somewhat by calling in an order or using their website. There's usually a special of the day that knocks a couple bucks off the price of that dish. Everything I've tried has been great and well-cooked.
