I recently visited Slim Chickens to try them out and I really enjoyed the food. I ordered the tenders with fries. The tenders were served hot and were very delicious. I love that it is real chicken tenders dipped in batter such a good flavor and seasoned. The fries was hot as well. Slim Chickens is my new favorite fast/sit down fast food place. I don't usually love chicken fingers because either the breading is too hard, there's too much of it, or the chicken is rubbery. I've been here four times in the past month, once with my family, once with my daughter, and twice on my own. The chicken is always hot, and juicy. The breading is not too thick, and oh my goodness, the mac and cheese is literally the best I've had for about a 2 hour radius, and that includes sit down table service restaurants. Slim Chickens is a typical fast food restaurant specializing in chicken tenders and wings. The food is good for fast food but really nothing special. My visit was about a week after they first opened and the traffic was horrendous getting or out of the parking lot. They finally sent someone out to help direct people. My biggest reason giving only three stars was the air conditioning and fans had the place absolutely freezing. It was so cold the condensation was dripping on the order counter! I've eaten at this new place quite a bit. They've been very busy since opening even with two other similar establishments within walking distance. One of those being the best run "Chick" place in the industry hands down but Slim Chickens is notching a very good record of it's own for very good service and food. They're also making waves with some offerings no one else does such as Chicken and Waffles combo and desserts served in a glass jar with some seasonal desserts to boot. I've had a variety of their offerings but this place is known for it's chicken tenders and wings They're good to keep it simple. However tenders are made for dipping and Slim doesn't disappoint. I don't know if their dipping sauces are hand made in house but they're served and taste as if the may very well be. I've become a big fan of Slim's Honey Mustard (reminds me of somewhere between Applebee's and O'Charleys Honey Mustards) and I also love Slim's Cayenne Ranch dipping sauce which is very much like Outback's ranch. While the tenders themselves are freshly prepared with a light batter and cooked to just right it is the sauce that makes each bite savory. So while it's kind of hard to go wrong with a chicken tender Slim's has you covered with a variety of dipping sauces for any taste. read more

I loved Slim Chickens the first time I tried it, my mom loved it and I once tried it because she wanted it and I was like why not. I had the chicken wings and fries they are delicious. About a month later I tried the grilled chicken salad and the chicken inside will give you a stroke, diabetes, and high blood pressure all in one. It is the saltiest chicken I have ever had. The salad in general is good and the brownie jar is nice but the chicken is not good I do not recommend it. read more

I called to alert the restaurant and Alexis the cashier offered to replace the drink, not refund my meal or offer an apology. I have been here twice now since they open. Both times i have had poor service. I had to speak twice with Aaron the GM. The first was a family order online that i placed. I get there and was the only one jn the to go order area. I get handed a cartering order of 45 tenders. Not at all what i ordered. Got told they didnt have my order but my credit card was charged 6 times. I went inside and talked with Aaron. He didnt have a contact number for corp and told me to use the app instead because what i ordered was a seasonal item and a was not online. I opened app and showed Aaron the exact items again on the app. Corp cant even get thier software correct. Aaron had to send an EMAIL to corp because he didnt even have a number to call. RED FLAG even their stores dont have contact to corp. Second trip my mother went with the kids to get drive through order. No menu at site...had to use cellphone to see menu. Little girl standing in front of order mic took order. She never once repeated any of the items my mom told her and just gave YUP as her answer to a senior person. Of course the order was wrong and I had to drive back to speak AGAIN with Aaron and after waiting at the front door holding my chicken box, after asking a server how i get my order correct she told me to wait until i reach the counter and then they would fix it or i could talk to manager. I asked her to get Aaron for me by name and she just walked off going to other orders. Aaron came out of the back and was working because he was never told about my complaint. After telling several other customers my problems and issues i have had with the place. I finaly got Aaron attention and spoke with him again. I got my order fixed and ask Aaron for corp number. He returned and told me there was no number he ciuld give me. I told him after my last order i was never contacted by corp or him about my credit card issue. The credit card was fixed but neither him or corp called me like he said they or he would. I told him i would not be coming back and that i have had no problem with popeyes chicken and will not be visiting his place again. I do not recommend this place because of service. First and last time customer. When my husband and I arrived and walked in to place our order we didn't see the family meal we were wanting on the menu so we went outside and made sure we knew what we were wanting before going back in to place our order. When we get back inside we wait at the counter for the cashier to stop talking and playing around with his co workers for about a minute or so until he decides to take our order. Keep in mind this time when we came back in we weren't looking up at the menus so it's not like he didn't know we weren't ready. We didn't get greeted when we walked in but he greeted every customer after us. When I tell him what I wanted to order he looks at me and says "what" and looks at me like I don't know what I'm talking about. He apologizes and says that it was rude but still it doesn't excuse him for actually saying it or still the fact he took his time before helping us place our order. While we're waiting for our food we sit at a table and my husband sees ants all over it. Once my food is ready the same cashier brought it out to us and put it on the table, snatched the number that he gave us off the table and went to walk away. We weren't rude to him and were patient with him while ordering so the fact that we weren't greeted and then he didn't say thank you have a nice night or anything was even more rude than he had already been. The family pack I ordered came with a gallon of tea and my husband had to stop him from walking off and when we told him that we were missing our drink he said "oops haha I forgot" but in a very playful way. He was in too much of a hurry to go back to playing around to even think to ask if we needed anything else. Like I said before, first and last time customer. read more

Stopped at slims today after sitting at a doctor office since 9am this morning no food or drink since midnight I was starving to say the least receipt says 2:54:16 went through the drive through the screen was blank asked for a slims meal GRILLED! with slim sauce and side salad with ranch drive home open my meal to only be greeted to fried tenders and no slims sauce seriously contemplating never returning this is not a one time occurrence they have done this several times to me and my other half.
