I swear! I had no idea that there was a Bojangles in the city of Tallahassee Florida. I discovered it via Google maps while looking at what businesses were nearest to Magnolia Heights Historic District, which was the location of my hotel while visiting. I was pleased to find that it was only .2 miles in distance. And its 4.7 star rating out of 1,500+ on Uber Eats was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu, I took an interest in items like the egg & cheese biscuit, southern gravy biscuit, bo-tato rounds, bo* fries, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potato pie, green beans, and of course their infamous bo-berry biscuit, which came in a heart-shaped form due to Valentine's Day being the month I visited. Out of all that caught my eye on their menu, I ended up ordering their bo*fries, and of course bo-berry biscuits. Whether it be Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Bojangles my order was being bagged up behind the counter during this ordering experience. Picking up was just confirming my name, order, and I was well on my way back to my hotel. I am grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. As for my order, my mouth salivated prior to taking both items outside of the bag to get pictures of them to share. It was hard to ignore the smell of the bo-berry biscuits, as well as the bo*fries. I never mentioned that it has been nearly two decades since I have had Bojangles, which was introduced to me by one of my co-workers while we were headed to Jacksonville North Carolina from Arlington Virginia during my military years. But I digress! Sprinkled with Bo's famous seasoning, I moaned after my first taste of those bo*fries. They just do not make fries like this at some of my most frequented restaurants in Chicago Illinois, where I reside. Mmm, yes! My only regret was that I did not get a larger size, but with that I just wanted to save more room for those bo-berry biscuits. Once I finished off eating those fries, I realized that I did not even use the barbecue sauce that I ordered with them, tehehe. Oh well! Now drenched in sweet icing, I anticipated the taste of the bo-berry biscuits, which I must say melted in my mouth with its soft texture that was filled with bo-berry berries! I savored each moment to enjoy the taste of those buttermilk biscuits, with no crumbs left behind. After finishing, I had a smirk on my face in realizing that my tastebuds were satisfied. In closing, I had a great ordering experience as I have indicated in this review of Bojangles. And with that, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all on yelp. Went for the 1st time today to this location and got an 8 piece family meal with mashed potatoes and sweet tea. You do get a lot of food with this meal and it is very good for the price, but when I got home I was so disappointed. The middle of the rolls were completely RAW. luckily the chicken was cooked but when you opened the biscuits there was nothing but raw dough. I'm not saying a little dense, or anything like that. Its was completely raw dough. See attached picture. The biscuits are our favorite part of the meals. The chicken isnt super flavorful and the mashed potatoes are obviously powdered. A solid three stars fits the bill for my first-ever Bojangles experience. I went with the Cajun Filet biscuit combo, because it was a) showcased on the street sign and b) it was the first item on the breakfast menu. What you receive is a thin piece of chicken between a biscuit, served with "botato" rounds and a soft drink. The food was decent. The chicken didn't have as much Cajun spice as I expected. But those potato rounds were really good. Overall, there's much to be improved with store cleanliness, as unbussed tables dominated the restaurant. Stopped by during a VIP event on Saturday for a sneak taste of Bojangles. We ordered the Cajun filet biscuit while, one piece breast meal (with mashed potatoes and coleslaw) and a Bo-berry biscuit. The buttery flakey biscuit was topped with a thinly breaded and moderately spicy chicken filet. The breast was juicy inside and crispy on the outside while the sides were both solid. The Bo-berry biscuit was piping hot, coated in icing, and was one of our favorite items At the urging of the operator we also tried the roasted chicken bites. Tender chucks of chicken were coated in tasty seasoning and served in a bowl. They were great and it was good to see a non-fried option on the menu. I am not really a "fast food" person, but every now and then, picking up fried chicken and some sides works wonders after a long day and in our case, after a long flight. Had just gotten back in town and wanted some "comfort food". We wanted something sweet as well and was informed that only blueberry biscuits with icing were on hand. I was familiar with cinnamon biscuits (Hardees), but had never even thought about blueberry biscuits with icing. But folks, those were some mouthwatering biscuits!!! Had long-awaited the arrival of the Bojangles in Tallahassee. I was envious of the North Carolineans and their ability to eat Bojangles whenever they felt like it. It was like a tease that I was never going to be able to get over, until now. I arrived at Bojangles on the grand opening night and it was packed as I expected. We waited in line for 45 minutes but it was well worth it. My wife's first response to being the chicken biscuit was "this is better than Chick-fil-A!" That only that but they're open on Sundays as well. There are many tasty foods here at the jingles but in my opinion nothing compares to the bo rounds and the Cajun filet biscuit. Love love love Bojangles! Get the Cajun filet chicken biscuit!!! I Got the chicken finger tailgate special and I was not disappointed. Long wait times since it's a new location but worth the wait! I was especially happy when it tasted like the other Bojangles I have visited in other states. I ran into a coworker and he bought a box for breakfast lunch and dinner. It is seriously that good! One of the worst Bojangles I've ever been in. First location ever that said we don't have lemon for ice tea. Floor was sticky and smelt like dirty mop water. Sweet tea recipe was butchered badly. Sugar levels were triple the norm. I switched to coffee and they were out of coffee. Place was 100% empty and I was told to wait 15 minutes so she can start to brew coffee. First time visitor to Bojangles, in town on a college visit. Ordered chicken, biscuits, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The service was friendly and helpful. We found the chicken to be juicy and tasty. The breading was lighter than other fried chicken places, which was good. The seasoning was just right. As a cole slaw fanatic, I found the cole slaw pretty good. Nothing special, but it's what you'd expect from a fast food fried chicken place. The biscuits were warm, big and delicious. I like that they have honey and ketchup at the condiment section. I had asked for the bbq and "Bo sauce" to try them out. The bbq sauce is much like plain old kraft bbq sauce from the bottle. The Bo Sauce was something special. A creamy, spicy sauce with a horseradish kick. Loved it. Sadly, we don't have Bojangles up north. If they did, I'd be a frequent customer. read more

I've heard about Bojangles for many years on the John Boy & Billy radio show. A friend told me that one had opened in Tallahassee, so I had to give it a try! I went with the Cajun filet biscuit, as it is the first item listed on the breakfast menu, and the nice lady taking my order told me it was their best selling item. I got the meal deal $5.90 for the chicken biscuit, 4 or 5 large hash brown disks, and a soda. Not a bad deal! It was good - not very spicy, but I'm ok with that. The chicken breast on my biscuit was huge! They are a bit stingy with condiments, but restaurant was clean and tables were wiped down. Drive thru was constantly busy. read more

I had to see if the hype was deserved. The chicken is okay. The biscuits are just not that good. The sides were flavorless. To top off a lackluster experience, the counter service was a mixed bag. The woman who took my order was friendly and informative. The man who assembled my order and called my name did not actually read the receipt and was surly when I asked him questions and brought missing order items to his attention. The Bo'tato Rounds are the best "hash browns" in the city, they are seasoned to perfection. I tried the country ham biscuit and it was too salty! FAILURE START TO FINISH. I went to this "restaurant" at 11:15 this past Sunday morning, pulled in the drive thru behind one other car and ordered 2 (TWO!) ham biscuit meals - one with a Pepsi and the other Diet Pepsi. Easy, right? One might think so, but sadly, NO. She repeated back two diet Pepsi's and I corrected her. At the window, she handed me an unidentified soda so I asked what it was and she told me diet. A minute or so later the other one came along and I was assured when I asked her that it was regular. Nope. You guessed it - diet. Then I was told to "pull forward to the door". The old classic to trick their timer into thinking you've been served WHICH I HATE. Because you cease to exist once they're not accountable anymore. But I did it and sat there...... 10+ minutes go by and they had pulled one more person out of line and ran 5 or 6 cars through. Then a car pulled in front of mine, backed up and PARKED and an employee with a headset came out, stuck her head in the window and carried on a conversation for the duration of my time there... doing, you guessed it, NOTHING. I am disabled but my groceries were warming and I was ready to go so after 15+ minutes waiting in front of the door, I went inside and found my extremely small bag of food sitting under the warming lamp. Probably for 15 minutes. I was overly calm and collected which I now regret and asked for my food. In the meantime, another employee walked up and got in my face (in the age of covid - I also have stage 4 cancer) to confront me about my presence in such an outrageously RUDE manner that it was ALL I COULD DO to remain calm and just get out of there, as I began to shake uncontrollably at this point and could feel the outrage beginning to take over. I FINALLY received this "food" and a regular Pepsi without a solitary apology or attempt to make this ridiculous experience right. When I got home, I called the store to get the franchise owners' name and how to reach that person... I was told "this is the corporate number". Stupid. Then she said, "I'm not gonna lie to you (ha!), I don't know any of that information". Wow. So I then said I need the first and last name of the general manager of the store you are in right now and how I can reach this person. I was told someone named "Forshay Jones" was the GM but they weren't there. I gave up on this utter failure of an experience eating up my precious time, filled out an online complaint form which is unsurprisingly unanswered and then came here to try to help anyone else avoid this nonsense. I was so angry, I couldn't even eat the crap food and we are SO tired of passing out money for this garbage "service". How does Chik-Fil-A manage to pull this off so effortlessly??! This place is exactly what you'd expect from a fast food fried chicken place and then some. The chicken is delicious and flavorful and the variety of the menu gives everyone the opportunity to try something they'll like. Also, this place has some pretty sweet sweet tea! Bojangles recently made it's Macarthur like return to Tally after a 30 year absence...was in no great hurry to come though since Tally Locals flock to new chains opening like nowhere else in America and in recent years I have been to Bojangles often in my travels through Georgia and The Carolinas..after letting the initial craziness die down I have made 2 visits so far..one for breakfast and one for dinner....lets get it out of the way right now, Bojangles has the best fast food breakfast in America...sorry Chick Fil A your number 2 in Tally now....Spicy Chicken Filet with Egg and Cheese Biscuit and a order of Bo Rounds has taken The Cows down....Bojangles biscuit is moister and the chicken product is better....they also have far more options for their biscuits like sausage..bacon..ham..and the seasonal pork chop which is a personal favorite..if I was rating Bojangles just on their Breakfast it would be an easy 5 stars,but alas there are many more hours in the day...the rest of the day Bojangles has the same great biscuits(in fact they serve breakfast all day which deserves some credit) and awesome fried chicken which is on par with Popeyes Spicy Fried Chicken...where Bojangles starts getting wobbly like Michael Spinks after Tyson punched him is with their sides ....everything is utterly average to awful like no thought was put into them...French fries..meh..stuck in that no mans land between skinny fries and crinkle cuts...mashed potatoes look and have the consistency of wallpaper paste but don't taste as good...macaroni and cheese that gives you that vague recollection of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese that you used to have to eat four times a week when you were a broke ass college student...compare that to Popeyes where all their sides like Fries..Cajun Rice and Cajun Mashed Potatoes are stellar and it makes it an easy decision who wins out when their chicken is a wash..another big negative is and they get my standard one star deduction for it,is serving Pepsi Products in The South...are you trying to piss off 80 percent of your potential customers?...I almost gave them a 2 star deduction since they are based out of Charlotte which is only 4 hours from Coca Cola's World Headquarters in Atlanta so they have ZERO excuse for doing this..one things for sure it assures all my future visits will be to go so I can grab a Diet Coke elsewhere...one other thing to note is they are still in the beginnings of being open so service and order taking is a little "unsteady" right now as many of the current employees are just not doing a great job...in fact you can hear "timber" yelled a lot in there right now since there is quite a bit of dead wood...I am sure this will improve as time goes on and the good workers get more experienced...for now I don't think I will make many trips across town to come to Bojangles when I have Popeyes and Publix far closer which have comparable chicken and they have Coke products...when they open up the rumored store on the north side of town I will go back again, but just for breakfast,chicken or biscuits...for now until the sides are improved and the fountain Coke is installed the best I can give Bojangles is 3 Stars read more
