My husband & I were in the area last Wed 4/8, and we love to play pool, so we thought we'd check this place out. As other people online have noted, this bar loves Trump, so there are quite a few posters all over the place. They have 4 pool tables which are usually $1 per game, but FREE during the week before 6pm. Erica was our nice bartender. They don't have a huge selection of IPAs, so we both got a tall Sierra Nevada beer $13ea., which came in a big frosty mug. Erica was nice enough to unlock one of the pool tables, and turned on some 80's rock, which was perfect. There was only a handful of customers when we arrived, then 2 men came in to play pool. They were getting a bit loud and obnoxious so Erica had to tell them to cool it. Overall, we had fun! read more

This place is a republican Trump bar. This place is very filthy. The bathrooms are even filthier. They never clean them when you order a drink. A short pour you. There shot Glasses are real shot glasses, the thickness of the walls of the shot glass are very thick, not a real shock glass. The food sucks. If the owners why their sales have dropped below profit levels... literally look around. Customer service was good. That's about it.... But if I looked different I might have actually thought I was in the movie Get Out. Used to think this place was great until we had this experience. I came with my girlfriend (who is from Europe) and she had 3 documents saying who she was including an official Spanish passport. The bar denied us entry, and proceded to yell obscenities while intimidating the girls with curse words and threats. We just wanted to go and have a drink and play some pool but we came in speaking Spanish, got hella shady looks, and we're cursed at by the owner of the bar. I am a tax paying, America loving, (Caucasian) patriot and this place absolutely disgusted me. I work as a firefighter and try to serve the community in which I live and I was astonished by the ignorance that I witnessed tonight and pray that the owner and staff at this bar will find the help they need. Additionally, I have been to this bar before and it's really fun, but I just couldn't believe the amount of hate that this place displayed. Definitely won't be coming back here again and it's very disappointing because we live in the area and would love to support a local asset. read more

My car is getting work done, I walk in hoping to support a business by getting a pint, I had my border collie who is very well trained with me. (Destiny) informed me dogs are not allowed. I then mentioned I can drink it in the completely gigantic outdoor patio they have, yeah dogs are not allowed because other customers complained. That is so dumb there is literally no one outside! After spending an hour or two here, the owner flicked a cigarette at our table, and when we asked why, we were met with attitude & hostility. The owner screamed at us, calling me a c*nt, a bitch & multiple other obscenities. She & another bouncer harassed & taunted us, & followed us out to our car. She pushed me hard on my chest twice & kicked me in the leg. Completely unprofessional "establishment" if you can even call it that. After reading other reviews on this place I discovered this isn't the first time this has happened here. So disappointed this place is still in operation. I came here for the first time and I really enjoyed myself. First off, CHELSEA was a (one-woman show) and she rocked it like a star. Even though she was the only one working, she managed to help everyone and still keep an upbeat/fun attitude. She was the order, the drinks, the food, and dj, I was really impressed with all her hard work along with friendly personality. She definitely makes you feel welcomed and was very informative. People like her, make people like me want to return. The location is in a cute quiet part of Cameron Park. There's lots of parking available and restaurants nearby. The inside is bigger than it looks, there's pool tables available, tables/chairs, a bar top, and a place for dancing. There's even outdoor seating- perfect for smokers and or if it's too hot inside. Drink specials are listed daily. I was suggested the Jungle Juice- it's a top seller and it's super cheap! They offer karaoke on certain days and times. Definitely causal atmosphere and a dive! My sister just told me the craziest encounter her and her friend had on Sunday night 9/4. My sister couldn't find her license and we all have been there! We all have had lost an ID at some point or misplaced it...so we use whatever else we can?! Yes correct?! Yes. Then SYLVIA the bartender dares to tell my sister she isn't over 21 even tho she is 25 YEARS OLD. Tells her that her passport is fake and if she can have my sister pull up a FACEBOOK ACCOUNT TO PROVE SHE LIVES HERE AND IS A REAL PERSON. Then when my sister decides to leave and wait outside she said "oh no it's okay your friends are vouching for you!...come back in" A government issued passport is an ID just like a visa just like a Military ID, just like a license, just like any government issued ID in California. Don't tell my sister Mel by the way that her passport was fake and that it was a "California wide state law that you can't accept passports at bars, it's just California law Im sorry-Sylvia" no let's get educated. Terrible experience. Let me start by saying I grew up in El Dorado County. I've never experienced what I saw tonight. I went in with my husband and was having a great time - had several drinks between the two of us and were having so much fun playing pool. We went to get some drinks in between games and were at the bar chatting with a lovely couple about our kids. We were so happy to have a night out without our kids and were laughing and talking about what was to come. All of a sudden the "owner" came by yelling for everyone to stand up because an "American" song was on. The couple we were talking to did not stand up and were just enjoying their drinks chatting with us. The lady called them out as "un-American" and started being extremely disrespectful. The gentleman told her that he had fought in Iraq. She told him that didn't matter and that he was a piece of s**t if he didn't stand up. He said he fought in the war and fought for the freedom to sit while enjoying his drink. She acted like a Russian dictator. Her rules and she kicked him out. My husband and I went back to playing pool but it didn't sit right with us. We went and asked her to talk outside. We told her that we had never witnessed something like this before and it was not right. She told us to f**k off and leave her bar. She did not need our money and to get out. She was about 2 inches from my face the whole time while I tried to have a calm conversation with her. Totally unacceptable and not a way to treat anyone. I let her know that we all have our own stories and hardships but she only cared about herself unwilling to hear about what anyone else might be going through. Overall, terrible experience with someone who is in denial of what it means to be a neighbor, a friend, and most importantly, an American. The 2 bartenders were very nice. And the couple we met at the bar were super friendly. While my date and I were chatting with the couple apparently while a Toby Keith song was playing, we were supposed to stand up for the flag. We were just enjoying conversation with a cute young couple and weren't even paying attention to the music, but the very drunk belligerent owner grabbed me by the sweatshirt and said I had to stand for the flag and that song otherwise I was not American. First of all, I am American enough to know that nobody can tell me what to do. And my date was a marine who fought in Iraq. He yelled something to her because she was disrespectful to me and him and nonetheless we got kicked out for not being American. So weak and ugly and people like this owner is what is totally wrong with our country. I can deal with the bar area, I got it, but the bathroom was just out of control, no attempt to clean it all. Black scum on the sink, urine splattered all over the toilets, etc.. I met some locals that invited me to this bar. When I arrived I was carded which was fine so I handed them my passport card. So the bouncer asked the manager Could we accept she so no which was fine. She said we can only accept state id's or drivers license or the actual passport book so since My hotel wasn't that far away. I went and got the passport book since my license was broken. Now returning the bouncer wouldn't accept my passport booklet after getting it. I said how come now you told me what forms of id's you would accept. They allowed my white friend to enter without showing his id. Then I guess what was the manager said I couldn't come in because on the passport doesn't state my height weight or race. Which is stupid I'm like lady this a passport then she stated we can't accept passports because of covid what the hell covid have to do with not accepting a passport, then the lady states that your kind is not welcomed here. I never experienced racism before ever in California. I think that's kinda sad with all that's going on the world today. Once I said that the lady jump in my other friend face push him not respecting social distancing call us all type of foul words. stay away from this bar if you are African American this is a very poorly managed bar lack of respect for other races I would never visit this place ever again. they are doing a great job at keeping blacks out! Ridiculous hillbilly type bar in a western fashioned mini mall. I first walked up with my friend and was like, "Wow, check out that rooster sculpture, that's crazy". Then the sculpture started moving BECAUSE IT WAS A FUCKING ROOSTER. Nice. Drinks seem to be a bit steep considering it's Cameron Park.... who WANTS to be drinking here?! That being said, it was a decently strong drink. Interesting mix of patrons, but prepare yourself for some testosterone. It's bubblin' up in here. Plenty of pool tables, good sound system (and they were playing some rockin' 90's hits which I'm all about). If I lived here, I'd probably come once every few months and feel indifferent about it.
