    basecamp pizza

This was some of the nastiest pizza I have had. The pizza sauce tasted so processed like they took it right out of a generic tomato sauce can. I ordered a pepperoni and the Basecamp. I was so disappointed in my experience. I wanted some good pizza and there is way better pizza places around Folsom and Sacramento you can go too. Also there was hair on my husbands pizza slice. The ranch tasted watered down. It was really weird. The pizza was not good at all and had no flavor. The ambiance in this place was lively and cool but that's about it. The service was also just okay nothing spectacular.

Love this spot! Best selection of beers and cocktails but they always come up with unique weekly specials. But a huge shout out to Ally the bartender, she always remembers us, what we drink and our favorite starters! As soon as we walk in and she sees us, our drinks are waiting. We love that!!!

We came back to Wally's Pizza for our second visit, this time bringing a friend from Indonesia who was visiting--and it ended up being a great call. We originally just planned to grab a couple of beers, but the food and atmosphere kept us hanging around longer than expected (in the best way). The sriracha wings were once again the star of the show--crispy, spicy, and super flavorful. Our friend loved them too, which was awesome to see. The mozzarella sticks were also a hit--perfectly golden and cheesy. Honestly, everything we ordered hit the spot. Just look at that cheese pull! Wally's being open a little later than other spots was a nice bonus, and the vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. Between the great service, solid beer selection, and tasty food, we all left happy and full. Looking forward to our next visit already!

We came here for dinner and the GB Packer game. Our server Kaylee B was on point & provided excellent service. Very attentive and personable. We had the Base Camp pizza.....you can't go wrong with that choice.

Been meaning to post for a while. This place is the best for food, ambiance and service. Great seating and love them for not just pizza, but for breakfast! Things I love: best chicken wings you will ever eat (they are huge, so don't get 12 for yourself), huevos rancheros yum, the lid for breakfast, all pizzas are amazing and the pear walnut said is the best! Also try the ice cream with churro if you can actually eat dessert after.

We stopped in for dinner on the way home from Red Hawk. Friendly staff. Drinks are good. They do have gluten-free options (which I need). The GF pizza tastes like pizza should. That alone is worth 5 stars. Great spot for a bite to eat, date night, sports team post game meal, or a family night.

This sports bar is the best in Cameron Park! I love how many TVs there are. Right when you walk in you are greeted with a host who will take you to your seat quickly with menus and utensils. A server will be quick to come to you and check in on what you would like to drink and then promptly take your food order when you are ready. One of my favorite appetizers is from here and it is the artichoke dip. It is paired with pita bread, cut up, making for the perfect bite size as you are dipping into arguably the best appetizer you've ever had. I tend to come here often when I am in the Cameron Park area. I highly recommend this place. Whether you are a returning customer or a new one looking for a great sports bar.

But I called them up and they said they do have a full bar. So here we are!! There's plenty of seating. They have a bar area. Then a restaurant style area with booth seating. Then some high tops where the pool tables are. As well as some regular tables in front of the TV. They have the ability to turn the game sound on as shown by when the 49ers game came on (they got smacked by the Seahawks). But during the Broncos game they had the music playing but thats ok. The tvs here are at least 55 inch tvs. Crystal clear. Great for watching the games. There were no Broncos fans or Bills fans here. So it was just my wife and I having basically the entire place to ourselves for the game. We sat (stood too) for the entire game. It was an epic OT win by the Broncos. We each ordered about 4 drinks and had 2 apps. The drinks were all very pretty. Some were good. Some not so much. They are able to make up drinks on the fly as well as customize them. We had their boneless wings and pretzel sticks. Good finger food type snacks. Our waitress disappeared for long periods of time. I think initially she was annoyed that we were just ordering drinks. But I feel like we made it worth her while with 8 drinks and 2 apps ordered.... They have a small arcade to the back. As well as a large private event room. No tvs in there as everyone was coming out to watch the ending of the Broncos game. Overall a nice restaurant. Lots of older people here. But also some families and young people on dates too. So fun for the whole family. Good amounts of drinks. Good amounts of food as well.

They have a great drink selection as well. I'm driving, so no drinkie for me this time! One of the crew got the Big Easy special of the shrimp and chicken with mashed potatoes served on a bed of mushroom and onions all on a sizzling hot platter. I got my fave Bourbon Chicken Penne pasta served with green and red bell pepper and onions as well as andouille sausage. There's just something about this combination that tastes super good, the kitchen really got this one right! The other crew member went for the Meal Deal Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. Service was all friendly and the interior of this location looked pretty similar to all the Applebee's with a bar in the center and table all around and nice windows to let in the light. The food arrives and we all dig in. Mine is tasty as I've had before. The chicken and shrimp dish is sizzling away, had to get a vid of that! We all loved the food here. I'm getting a little sick of fast food, so I suggested checking out Applebee's. Online ordering is simple and easy. I did read they give you a free appetizer when joining their loyalty club, so I decided to do so. I don't know how it works, but I never saw a free appetizer. Was going to order from them anyways, so just went ahead with my online order. I haven't been to Applebee's in years, so I asked the hubs what he wanted. He mentioned the two for $26 deal, so we just went ahead and ordered that. He adores mozzarella sticks and I like spinach and artichoke dip, so we added the less expensive one as an additional item. It was $0.20 less, but hey, less money is less money. I enjoyed the chicken. It was savory and cheesy. A lil salty, but the lime cut into that. The dip was nice and creamy. I had some carrot sticks at the house, so I ate it with those. The hubs had it with the chips and said it was a lil salty as well. The riblets were pretty good. I was afraid they would be too sweet due to the honey bbq, but it wasn't at all. The mozzarella sticks were also tasty. Tho they need to give you more than one small container of marinara. It's not enough for all the sticks. Luckily, I had some spaghetti sauce at the house so it was an okay substitute. When leaving, I noticed a sign saying they do half off appetizer after 9pm. Not sure of the terms, but we didn't get that deal online. So if ordering, maybe call them instead or order in person to get the deal. I believe the wait for takeout is probably less than 20 mins. I may try that if we decide to check out Applebee's again. REVIEW #3595

Walked in on St. Patrick's Day and it felt like the whole place had been plugged into a good mood generator. Packed--but not chaotic. Lively--but not sloppy. Just that sweet spot where everyone's smiling, conversations are flowing, and you can tell people actually want to be there. The staff? Absolute pros. Fast, dialed in, and having just as much fun as the crowd. You don't always see that combo--usually it's either efficient or friendly. These guys brought both. You could feel the teamwork behind the bar... drinks moving, laughs happening, zero stress vibes. The crowd was all in too--green everywhere, patios buzzing, inside shoulder-to-shoulder in the best way. No weird tension, no ego... just good people having a good time. That's rare these days. And honestly, this is exactly why local pubs matter. You're not just grabbing a drink--you're stepping into a community moment. Something real. Something you can't replicate with a six-pack at home. Bottom line: If this is how they show up on a big day, you already know it's solid year-round. Support your local spot. This one's doing it right.

We came across three female lobsters with eggs, and although some people consider it lucky, it honestly didn't sit well with me. From what I understand, egg-bearing lobsters are typically supposed to be released, so it made me worry about long-term sustainability and potential shortages. Other than that, the experience itself was enjoyable. We requested a table with a view and got to watch the sunset while eating, which made the dinner feel extra nice. The prime rib was definitely my favorite. The crab was juicy and fresh, sushi was just okay, but the poke was surprisingly flavorful. I skipped dessert, but my boyfriend said that ended up being his favorite part of the night. I'd still come back again, but I really hope they become more mindful about the lobster situation.

We actually had a few family members back out because we were under the impression it was mostly seafood, but it turned out to be a full standard buffet with plenty of variety: pastas, salads, pizza, soups, prime rib, and more. Definitely something for everyone. Pricing was $60 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under, which honestly felt fair because there's no way two tween girls were about to put away $60 worth of food each. I don't recall hearing about a senior discount, and if they do offer one, I wish it had been mentioned since we had two grandmas in their 80s with us, plus adults in their 50s and 60s. Me, freshly turned 29 however? I'll bravely shoulder the $60 burden. No problem at all. One thing that did work out nicely: parties of 8 or more automatically get an 18% gratuity added. Since you pay upfront when you walk in, it completely eliminated the usual family debate over who's contributing or covering the tip, which was perfect since I was treating. The restaurant itself is tucked pretty deep inside the casino, which is mildly inconvenient. It honestly reminded me of the old Fry's Electronics checkout maze where they'd route you past endless gadgets, gizmos, and candy before letting you escape. Except here, it's slot machines and gaming tables. After getting off the elevator, you walk a ways and then catch another escalator or elevator down another level or two. Maybe it only felt far because we were new to the layout, but give yourself a few extra minutes if you've never been. We were told reservations were required, though technically they aren't. There was a standby line for walk-ins, but it was easily 50 people deep while reservation holders were being seated quickly and given clear priority, as they should be. So while not mandatory, reservations are very strongly recommended. As for the food itself, the crab and lobster were salty but overall pretty good. There was one lobster that tasted a little "off" or muddy, but with buffet-style dining, it was easy enough to grab another. Fair warning though: lobster and crab are messy and take work. This is not a low-maintenance dining experience for the weak, lazy, or easily frustrated (LOL). The prime rib was solid, though not especially memorable. The mac and cheese was unfortunately bland, and the desserts were probably the weakest part of the buffet. The bread pudding was the standout dessert, and my sister swore the soft serve was surprisingly good. Overall, everyone genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves, and it felt like a worthwhile outing with family. We left full, happy, and glad we went. While I'm not completely sure it'll become a regular destination for us, I'd still say it was a fun experience and definitely worth trying at least once.

I hate giving relish a bad review but this was pretty bad…read more Let me start with the good. Our waitress was nice and she did check on us. My burger was done fine and my tots were crispy. Ok thats the good. My wifes patty melt was very soggy on one side. So basically one side of the bread was cooked and toasted like it is supposed to be and the other was not cooked and soggy. Her fries were cooked but not that great. We let the waitress know about the patty melt and she apologized and took the plate back. Keep in mind my wife had cut this sandwich in half already but had not eaten any of it. The sandwich was returned. It was the same cut in half sandwich however the bread was now cooked on both sides. So basically the melt was very "melted" and the meat was very done. But hey the bread was crispy. Here is where I had a major issue. They brought her back the same old fries. But what the cook did was put a couple fresh fries on top of the old ones to try and make it seem fresh. WTF! The fries on the bottom were not even warm They were cold. The fries that were fresh, I kid you not, totaled maybe 10 fries. When the waitress came to Get the plates she asked how everything was and we told her about the fries. We are decent people and we really do not complain. We even apologized for even saying anything but figured they should know. We really got no response. We did get the bill though lol. I paid in full and even left a tip for the waitress. I really can not blame her but she should have offered a reduction. So be careful if you ever have to send anything back here.
