In 2009, I reviewed Slots A Fun and a Heineken draft was $2...17 years later in 2026...it's still $2!!!! With that being said, it's a blast from the past in here. They still do have coin in slot machines (the tokens used to be $1 coins) but in hindsight, you still manually put the tokens in before pulling the reels. All low denomination slots, so no 25 line Dragon Link or anything. It's cheap fun and nostalgia at it's finest. They had table games as well, but they weren't open when I visited. We've gotten so used to hitting the max bet or buttons, but if you take your sweet time to put the coins in, sip your beer, and just hang out...you will make your money stretch - especially if you hit some nice payouts! I also got lucky and hit 3 Top Dollar bonuses in 30 minutes here and walked away with some profit :) Def. worth a visit if you are in the Northern part of the Strip, the old school vibes gives this place a generous 5 star review from me! I would have never thought I would have left Slots A Fun a five star review, but I didn't hesitate to! We were in Vegas for vacation and walked over for a drink and to put some money in the coin slot machines. We literally put $20 in the quarter slots (all with low max bets) and we walked away with $40 profit each. The slot tech was so nice and showed us where to cash out and personally walked us over to make sure we were taken care of. The cashier was also so nice and welcoming it was truly a very hospitable casino experience, probably the best of our trip! We also went to the bar while there and got a mixed drink for $6, one of the cheapest drinks on the Strip! We even came back the next day and won again! We look forward to returning again! read more

For everyone who claims to miss the old Las Vegas experience- visit Slots A Fun. It's totally worth it. You can get 2.00 beers, play coins and play with live dealers at a reasonable minimum. Is it like it used to be? No but it's still the closest thing you can get to vintage experience at same value. I give this place 4 stars. Lots of items to choose from. Some items were priced reasonably but there's were over priced. I got shirts which is what brought ne in the beginning with 3 shirts for 9.99 the section were slim but I did find other shirts. I got one for my daughter $24.99. Imagine being so excited to see a coin operated slot place still being open & working?! Nowwww....Imagine going in and finding out that it is TOKENS and not actual money? So sad. I was excited at the thought of bringing home a bucket of gold/silver dollars. (It didn't happen- we had more luck with the new machines next door) The cheap foods (2$ popcorn, tacos, hotdogs, etc) stopped being served before we realized it and we didn't get to partake. You can use your Circus Circus card to gain points on these coin slots. Overall, it's sooo loud in there. The coin noise...that's fun. But then the music is blaring loud to help mask the coin sounds. This was a fun spot located through the Circus Circus, Hotel Casino. With the sounds of "Old Vegas" coming from the coin in/coin out slot machines, to the smells of freshly popped popcorn, this is a nostalgic atmosphere that you definitely don't want to sleep on! Well it's all back of course updated with newer slots and bar and the cheap eats are back as well like the $2.00 popcorn, Hot Dog , Shrimp Cocktail and beers. Well, that $2 Heinie was the best beer I've had in Vegas in years: just right temp, served right away with a smile and the bartender even tried to give me back the $3 change that I'd meant (and insisted) for him to keep. I like Slots A Fun more than the actual casino inside Circus Circus. Several years ago this used to be cheap and old school. This isn't as good as it was but even now it's much cheaper than most places on the Strip. Lots of people here say it sucks and it's not as good anymore. You may feel the need to take a bath after going in here but that's the charm of this. It isn't for you if you're looking for glamour. Slots A Fun is as old school as it gets. The place is small and stinks. It has a few older slots, and lots of arcade games. There's not as much to do here as there was. It didn't have any table games. These used to be really popular. Beer here used to be dirt cheap. The beers now are about $7 for swill. Food is bad. They still have their famous hot dogs, and they have a Subway. Corporate world has taken over. The place smells like ass and needs a good cleaning up. It's old and stinks bad. Even so I still like it more than the oversized casinos with the tight slots and even more overpriced restaurants. It gets me so annoyed to see Circus Circus info when I click in to see something about Slots A Fun. I don't understand why there can't just a minimal effort to keep Slots A Fun a stand-alone place, at least in branding, and give it at least ONE table. And maybe some better upkeep. What a dive ! We stumbled upon this place walking out of Circus Circus around 6 am the morning after eloping at the Bellagio fountains. We had partied all night and it was getting bright out and time to head back towards our hotel. This place was a worn out, tacky, run down, almost depressing if you were there to seriously try to gamble. I didn't realize it was separate from Circus Circus. Now there were slot machines ( very old ones ) but it hardly could be called "Slots o fun" more like "Slots o gloom" or "Slots here won't be won" No one looked happy. The food selection was grim. We were wasted and happy ( see pics ) so we had a some fun for the short time we were there. On our last trip, I wound up there again by mistake. I went out of Circus Circus ( ya I know - but we stay in 5 star resorts so we like to slum it on occasion ) for some fresh air, and here it was - SOF. I just had to check to see if it was as bad as I remembered- and it was actually worse! It was dead empty. I am the only one there. The carpets stuck to my flip flops and it reeked of stale smoke ( yuck ) I sat at a machine to kill a few minuets, and some sketchy guy comes in and slides up rite beside me asks if the seats taken.... I say go ahead - mistake! He must of been some low level pimp. He tries to pick me up and thankfully my husband shows up right at that time and we leave. Bye bye SOF I won't be back ! read more

This is one of original places on the strip that has stayed tried and true over time. As old school casinos continue to be bulldozed and glitzy places go up in their place Slots A Fun reminds of the days with Westward Ho and Stardust. I like this place better than Circus Circus because it is quaint and you can get cocktail service relatively quick. Also, they have some older slots that I enjoy. Only downside is that all of their casinos serve rail spirits which can be harsh. The cocktail waitresses do look like they are on the 60+ side and have been chain smoking their entire lives. They used to have cheap craps at the front of the casino that they took away a few years ago. I really missed people watching while playing craps. There are currently no table games there but they added some bowling which might be worth a shot. They also have cheap food here....nothing gourmet but after slugging down rail vodka you might need it. Comps are generous but now expire after one year so you need come here annually. If you are tired of the expensive strip prices and want something that harkens back to old school Vegas stop here or forget the strip and just play downtown. read more

I remember this place from like 10 years ago. It was so much fun to be walking north on the strip just past the Stardust(*sigh*) and be able to walk a few feet from the sidewalk of the strip and start playing some blackjack at a table! Those were the days! Slots A Fun is basically a part of the Circus Circus property. It is a seperate building off of that main casino and just off Las Vegas Blvd. From what I've been able to ascertain, it opened sometime around 1971. It is a small, unassuming space. You will find a fair amount of slots, some old school arcade games, and a deli that offers some great deal on snacks! The table games were taken out sometime around 2010-2011 ish. That is a shame, too. That was one of the best features of this place was to have table games within a few feet of the sidewalk. I've only been in a few times in the last few years, but every time I go it's a ghost town. There is just no energy to an empty building. I honestly think if they just spruced up the space a little bit and brought back the table games, than they would see a lot more foot traffic here. I hope this actually is something they consider one day. Until than, it is just a lonely and depressing space...which is a damn shame... 2 stars. read more

Wednesday we stopped on our way to the strip as soon as I sat and was getting my husbands players card and some cash - she asked If we wanted a cocktail - ordered beer and instantly said I will give you this one but will not serve another if your not playing. I said you saw is just get here we are playing. She got a more snotty attitude with me, and started talking about having to deal with people.. we were next to the bar where she decided to talk shit about me to the bartender. She brought my husband his beer and tried to grab the $5 bill from his hand - he pulled alway and she said you can break that at the machine there for my tip. Umm hello you were rude and think you get a tip ... here is your tip you hate your job and dealing with people maybe you need a new job. Back in 2015 and again in 2016 we LOVED this place! It was like walking back in a time warp with cheesy fun all around. The Joker/Batman machine was always a huge hit (yes wink wink). We spent many hours here enjoying little beverages for tips. Well 2019 changed everything. I brought my friend here to show her how much fun it was. Well it wasn't, it was nasty and smellier and the fun machines are gone and it's a "let's get out of here" place now. Sad to see this bit of history slide away. read more

Not as fun anymore.... Slots A Fun was a place to come and still have the local atmosphere with down to earth tourists. In the 80's and 90's and maybe about 8 years ago you get dollar beers and dollar hot dogs. Today we stopped by to check it out and the cheapest beers are $5.41 and served in plastic cups. No more hot dogs and the place was empty. A subway and a pizza place along with the tour bus stop took the place of an iconic area where it was "Fun". I was told it is an "MGM" Property now which means squeeze the tourist for money and no labor. Another gobbled up establishment with corporate rules along with paid parking across the way at Circus Circus. How sad that places like these which were thriving that once held some nostalgia are now another tourist trap. read more

If low limits are your thing, then this is the place to be. They use to be one of, if not the only, place on the strip that would still give actual coins when you would win. They have now changed that to the ticket system which is nice. It always use to smell like barf too. That has changed also. They basically redid the whole place and now its much much nicer. 2 dollar Heineken and Coors Lights at the bar. $1.00 minimum bet at the virtual blackjack table. Lots of penny slots. We spent most of our time here and had alot of fun. Didnt lose too much money and got drunk as a skunk in the process. But you're not here for the food, you're here for the penny slots. That's right. Though they've cropped up everywhere, this is the home of the penny slots. Think about it. If you're playing penny slots, your goal is not to win money, it's just to lose money less quickly. Players at Slots A Fun are pre-defeated. Or just cheap. After all, the casino also advertises $1 table games, $1 and $2 craps, and 50 cent roulette. You're welcomed to Slots by the Big Sand Creek slot machine, which may be the biggest slot in town. (I could make a sexist comment here, but I won't.) It stands over 6 feet tall and fills the doorway, so that strangers can watch you lose from across the street. Not only that, but besides driving further down to downtown, this is place has the cheapest coronas and heinekens at $2 a pop, and cheap, and pretty decent food, for when your broke. Slots-A-Fun used to be a fun place. They benefitted from all the foot traffic that used to be more prevalent on the North Strip. With the fall of most of their neighbors Slots-A-Fun now primarily serves as a slot parlor for guests at Circus Circus. No more table games...and thats a shame because it was a fun place to play craps. I still pop in almost every visit just as a tribute to the old days but its a tomb every time I go. Seems like there's less than 10 people in there every time I visit now. I Cant imagine how they stay in business. They still have some good cheap eats/drinks at the snack bar...and the gift shop is nice for cheap souveniers....but without any people there is simply no energy in this place. Maybe with the revival of Sahara and a new casino planned next door Slots-A-Fun will get back to its former glory. But for now, its just kinda sad. read more
