Stopped by Slow by Slow Coffee and got a cappuccino and a mocha. The cappuccino was smooth and well-balanced, and the mocha had a rich chocolate flavor without being too sweet. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into each drink. Definitely a spot I'll be back to and the team there was super nice and helpful as well as detail oriented!!

Got a fruitloop matcha and a cappuccino and both were delicious! The shop was really cool too with a good amount of seating plus an upstairs with more seating as well.

Coming from Southern California, this place is interesting. They sell their own beans. The service was great and the Vanilla and Brown sugar latte coffee we got was yum.

Love this place! The workers are super friendly and their coffee is delicious they had an awesome seasonal menu. I tried the "ooo-baby it's cold outside" which is a fun holiday name for their ube latte with cinnamon. I've had ube lattes before and I know I like them, but this one actually surprised me by how delicious it was. I'm happy we were able to drop in before they closed for the day!

Boise has some good coffee shops but this one is really good. Automatic 10/10 when you have house made syrups! Tried the vanilla latte and it was a winner. Nice indoor seating area and some tables and chairs outside.

Coffee: SO freaking good! We tried a pour over, an espresso, and the old fashioned latte with coconut milk. All amazing!! And love that the latte wasn't super sweet at all. Delicious Ambiance: chill and perfect for hanging out or working out Service: super friendly, quick as possible with pour overs, etc (both girls working when we went were great) Will prob be back while I'm town to get some work done here!

the location is a great place for city atmosphere. The staff was very nice. I love the decor inside. I got an iced americano to go. The Americano was a bit bitter so I'm willing to give it another try ordering a different drink next time.

The most luxurious coffee experience of the year ... in Boise, Idaho! Who knew? Slow by Slow is amazing. I had the Christmints Latte, with house-made peppermint syrup and served with fresh mint. Bougie! I got to smell it every time I took a sip, and somehow that makes a difference! The latte was ultra smooth with just the perfect amount of decorative foam. Terry opted for the seasonal drink, Sumac That. And yup, you guessed it! Sumac infused goodness with cranberry, orange and sage - dusted with crushed sumac berries - and not too sweet. I felt like I was entering an exclusive speakeasy but for coffee. The barista was super friendly and talented. Well done, Boise.

My favorite coffee shop in Idaho! This shop had (by far) the best (dirty) Chai tea I have ever tasted. The service is amazing and the location and vibe of this shop is epic! If you're in the greater Boise area, definitely go grab a cup of coffee!

What really stood out to me is that they greet you like they are truly happy to see you. Even on my first visit they made me feel welcome, and now every time I walk in they greet me like a familiar face and make me feel right at home. That kind of consistency and warmth is rare and says a lot about the people who work there. The space itself is fantastic. It is always spotless, the ambiance is relaxed, the music is great, and there are so many comfortable places to sit depending on your mood. Sometimes I relax on the couches, other times I grab a table or sit near the window and enjoy the view. They also have plenty of outdoor seating, which is perfect on sunny Boise days and makes it a great place to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. It is one of those places where you can easily spend time working, meeting someone, or just enjoying a great cup of coffee. They also have great food, which makes it even better whether you are stopping in for a quick bite or staying a while. Everything I have tried has been fresh and really good. You can also tell that management cares about both their employees and their customers. When a place is run well it shows through the staff, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, and District Coffee absolutely delivers. I am new to Boise and this is one of the first places I recommend when someone asks where to get great coffee or find a comfortable place to spend some time. I have also had great experiences at their other locations. Boise is lucky to have them.

But, I really wanted to comment about how great the staff has been. After recently getting my new kidney, I have to be so careful about germs. And unfortunately, I can't use the straws and lids that they have out for everyone. I have asked if they can kindly put a lid and straw in for me after they make my drink and a majority of the staff has! I have had a few not so friendly stares when I asked but the majority of the staff have been so kind. I appreciate the extra step and the longevity of my new kidney does too. A small gesture like this goes a long ways and I am so grateful to those who have helped me out.

The shop is always clean and has a really comfortable atmosphere whether you're stopping in briefly or planning to stay awhile. One of the highlights is the upstairs seating area. Apple fritters are his favorite so I Googled the nearest joint that has apple fritters Goldy's Corner popped up so I made my 2 minute drive there. For a sunny Monday morning, downtown was pretty chill. Got myself a front row parking spot and made my way in. The vibe in the joint was just the same as this Monday morning, chill. You see a few guests enjoying their morning caffeine with some friends. Another guest having his chess board all ready for a serious game while sipping on his drink. I love it. The display case was full of goods. You have a great variety of savory and sweet options. I did a run through of everything and the one thing I came in for wasn't there. The sweet gal behind the counter greeted me with the friendliest smile. I asked her about the apple fritters and she nicely told me they didn't have any today. Last week, last week they had the fritters. So, I got my husband his second favorite thing and that is a huge cinnamon roll. It was beautifully displayed in the case. It was perfectly frosted and hearty. It looked like the perfect pastry to grab for him. I got my cinnamon roll all boxed up and was excited to bring it home to the hubby. The sweet gal told me to call ahead next time to see if they were planning on having fritters available that day. I also appreciate that she tried to direct me to other joints to grab a fritter. I told her that I have been to the shops she recommended but I was happy with the cinnamon roll. I look forward to taking my huge bite of this cinnamon roll when I get home. I am positive my husband will love it, he's never had a locally made cinnamon roll that he didn't like. The shop was really chill and relaxing. The gal that worked today was sweet and kind. I can't wait to come back and vibe out here. I can see the patio and a cup of coffee in the near future.

I appreciate the variety of baked goods and even the discounted day old items. Good place to grab a coffee when you don't have much time. Loved the artwork on display too. Several little tables here and booths and one larger table. My quiche was good. Everything I expected and I got the day old banana bread which was dried up and hard on the edges and soft in the middle. I guess that's why they discount it. After a day it doesn't hold up too long.

Very simple coffee shop--not a lot of fuss, but excellent coffee. I went for an Americano and it was amazing. We walked in and weren't even greeted. Honestly, we should have turned around and left right then. But we've been here many times before, so I gave the two workers the benefit of the doubt. We ordered our drinks and asked for them to be for here. I also got a scone. We waited 10 to 15 minutes while people who came in after us received their drinks first, and the shop wasn't busy. My husband eventually went up to ask about our order. The response we got was basically, "OK, we'll make it," with no apology or acknowledgment of the oversight. We finally received our drinks about 25 minutes after ordering, and they were in to-go cups even though we clearly asked for them to be for here. At that point it felt like a sign that we should just leave, so we did. If I could go back, I would have left the moment we weren't greeted. Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience to start our Sunday morning.

I usually hit a couple local joints that are right by the salon I work at. Conveniently, Dawson Taylor was right there so I took it as a sign to head in. This coffee joint is so cool. Walked in and instantly noticed how pretty the shop is. I was greeted right away. I told the gentleman that greeted me that I was going to use the ladies room real quick. I will have to say, the bathroom is so dope. I love all the quotes that were written on the walls. You don't realize how long you're actually in the bathroom when you're reading all the tiles. After reading a handful of tiles, I finally made my way out. I got my usual coffee when I try a new joint out. Gives every shop an even playing field. So I got myself an iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I had asked the barista for cream to be poured in the back by him. I had told him about my new kidney when I ordered and that I can't really use communal things. He proceeded to tell me the cream was at the table. I really didn't want to use it but I did. I poured a little of it out before I added the cream to my drink. I also used a napkin to hold the handle. I try not to be a germaphobe but it's hard not to be when your immune system is non existent. I made my way outside to sit under the sun and absorb the afternoon energy. I did add couple packets of my sweetner to my drink to sweetnen it a tad. I like my drinks on the sweeter side. Wow, this drink is absolute perfection. You can taste the espresso. It was very present and bitter. It wasn't watered down and light. I appreciate how bold the espresso is. The cream added a nice richness to the drink. The sweetner did enhance the taste of the vanilla. This americano was so good! I ended up walking to Cecil Andrus park and enjoying the rest of my drink there. It was just what I needed this afternoon. This joint is just another block away from the salon I work at which will be so nice and convenient to head down to for an afternoon caffeinated beverage. Another joint I will have to frequent. I will be back soon for another round of this fabulous americano. Especially after a long day at work.

I believe the beans used were from Ethiopia, and it was excellently smooth with notes of the coffee cherry it came from! I love when I can taste the complex flavors through different brewing methods at a café. This Dawson Taylor location may be downtown, but it still maintains a welcoming community vibe, and has delicious coffee. Highly recommend!
