You can definitely tell this is local spot and hangout. This place probably is packed during college days and football games. The food was good and fresh, it came out quicker than we thought. It's definitely a nice place to be and have an outside patio for more activities

A hair inside my favorite pizza

Came here later in the afternoon and i was completely displeased to say the least. The workers were unprofessional while on shift it seemed they were going back and forth to a table of what it looked it were their friends and speaking very loudly to the point the entire establishment could hear them. That wasnt my biggest concern though. Slow rise has been my favorite pizza spot. I usually go to the one on the brazos but it was my first time at this location, after listening to the loud people talking and supposedly were also working. I was trying to enjoy my favorite pizza and when i look down to get my next bite there is a hair in my pizza. I try to take it off because i do have dogs so i wasn't certain if it came from me. It was a blonde hair and when i tried pulling it out it was under the cheese and intertwined INSIDE the pizza. After that i felt nauseous and i dont think i will be coming back. The service was mediocre to say the least and the hair inside my pizza made me want to vomit. Sad to write this review but even sadder i had to experience this at my all time favorite pizza place.

Stopped by Slow Rise Pizza for a casual Sunday afternoon out and was really impressed with the quality of the food. The pizza was absolutely on point--perfectly crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and cooked just right. You can tell they care about what they serve. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, with a cool, rustic vibe that makes you want to hang around and order another slice. Staff was friendly and the service was solid overall. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars? As I sat down my chair was broken and left on the floor. Nothing major--just a surprise I wasn't expecting. Luckily, no injuries and the staff was apologetic, but hopefully they'll do a quick furniture check for future guests. Would still come back in a heartbeat. Just maybe pick a sturdy-looking seat next time!

We ordered pizza from here for a volunteering event. I like how they have both 14 inch and 20 inch pizza options, which are great for big groups. I tried their sausage pizza, which was honestly not as good as some pizza I've gotten at big chains. I do think their specialty pizzas would have been a bigger hit. The pizza just tasted like it was devoid of any flavour other than a very mid tomato sauce and cheese.

Gorgeous view overlooking the Brazos river as you eat your pizza!

This place is pretty good! We've eaten here lots of times and haven't had anything go wrong. Also, it's locally owned.

Great food and service. I had a slice of the day and a Greek salad. All was great. Including service.

I asked to include plastic wear and they did that as well as a stack of nicer napkins. If you spend a lot of time in hotels these things are important! The salad was good, the salmon was very well done (crispy) but fine and tasty. I'm so glad I got the extra dressing, it can be hard to order online, but the salad wouldn't have been as good without it. The only 4 stars was because of the avocado, is it actually their fault? Debatable. I paid $2 extra and I t was cut into really small pieces so I almost didn't notice it and they were super hard! If I ate there I'm sure they would have taken it off. But overall salad was really good and ready when I got there!

The ambiance was alright for a family outing, but that's where it ends. The service was pretty bad. Constantly had to ask for water refills, took her 15mins to come back and tell a person their beer wasn't available, and never asked if we needed anything after the food was delivered. The food was lack luster. I asked for extra cheese on my pizza and I paid for it, but this was the poorest case of extra cheese I have seen. Another person got a pizza and they barely had any toppings, so maybe it's just sad how little they put into their pizzas that are supposed to be "overhauled and better than ever". Stick to just the pizookies, the food is meh.

They tasted just like a tortilla chip though soooo... I think 2$ is more appropriate (menu also had GF at 4$ and then we were charged 5$ at the end in which I thought I'd be getting gluten free bread too but alas, the app was really really good - a friends complaint is that it could use more lemon flavor, I can see that too) I was also charged 4$ for my gluten free pasta, but the dish was so so so good. The creamy sauce was absolutely incredible. I had the shrimp scampi along with a blueberry syrup mocktail and I was completely satisfied. Also had a taste of the blueberry martini which was also very good. My friend had the lasagna which she rated at 3 stars and said it was overcooked but the sauce was good. My sister had the lobster ravioli and it was undercooked, too al dente for her liking and was dissatisfied as it was the most expensive thing on the menu. My sister would go back, my friend would not, and i definitely would. Service was very nice. I just looked at my receipt and there is a charge for "rustic bread" so I'm not sure what that is... did they charge us for both the GF crackers AND the bread that should have been included in the appetizer? That's also not cool.
