I don't understand the hype around this place. Ordered takeout and it was late to be ready but honestly, the pizza is not that great. Asked for BBQ drizzle on both our pizzas and neither had it. Flavor was off on the BBQ base and pretty light. If this is the regular crust I ordered, I would hate to see how thin the thin crust is. Growing up in Waco, I have loved Poppa Rollo's all my life. When I visit home, it's the #1 thing I crave and make it a priority to get, but you're best off going to the original location on Valley Mills. This location seems to cut corners when it comes to quality. The hamburger pizza tastes nothing like it should. The beef used is clearly cheap as well as unseasoned, not at all like Valley Mills. It tastes bad and is shameful to try and pass off as the flagship Poppa Rollo's recipe that made them a Waco staple. read more

Saturday 4/19/25 We went in and the girl at the host table sat us down quickly, told us the server would be there soon. We waited close to 10 minutes before she showed up. We got the buffet and the food was good. The problem was the server (Jasmin), she was very rude, she only came by once, but didn't refill our drinks. She came by to give us the ticket, but rolled her eyes when I said we weren't finished yet. Went in and told the person at the counter I was going to sit at the bar top. Quite a few workers on the floor but no one at the bar top to service. Saw many workers passing through the bar top but not one asked me or even tried to tell the person (wherever they were) they had a customer. After 10 or so minutes I left. They have some interesting specialty pizzas here. I went here thanksgiving weekend w my brother and niece. I ordered the taco pie. I wish I had brought some hot sauce w me. It was pretty good. They pile on the meat toppings. The taco pizza was similar to a beef pizza w the fresh toppings on top. It was pretty good. My brother and niece wanted to see the games in the game room like video games. Unfortunately they had a group then in that room. They had some televisions w a game on. Don't waste your time for the buffet. Beyond slow. Pizza is good, but damn. I get it. Truly do. After waiting (first in line after seating the group in front of me) for 10 mins for someone to acknowledge my mere presence, I left to run the rest of my errands and come back for the buffet after the rush died down. Literally two other tables with people in there. Lady who greeted me was like ahhhh you came back, I remember you. I want to wait on you, come over here. She sat me down at a table and took my drink order. I went to the buffet and then Houdini. She vanished never to be seen from again. Wish I was making this up. Went to the bar to just pay for my food and there she is just tucked away in the corner chatting with the bar tender. They took the time to ask if we need anything from refills to extra sauces. (Sidnee) Our server was phenomenal. She is hilarious and takes care of all her customers. She would frequently visit us to see if she could meet our needs and she did. She met them in a timely manner and she always did it with a smile. We ordered an appetizer; which were the mozzarella cheese sticks. They were rich in flavour and came along with ranch and marinara sauce. We devoured them instantly. We waited around 10-15 for our two pizzas due to it being cooked in the oven but when we got them. They were fresh out and had an exquisite taste. The BBQ pizza was the favorite at the table due to having a robust flavour. The pepperoni was also cooked to perfection! Nothing beats a classic pizza. The young women that worked the closing shift on 3/16/19 directed me to one of the only, (none fast food) restaurants that would serve me past 11pm, Old Chicago. I was traveling for work, and ended up in Waco much later than anticipated and HUNGRY. George's was recommend first, but they stopped serving food an hour before they actually closed. A friend and Iate at Papa Rollo's #2 yesterday afternoon about 1:45 p.m. and even though the restaurant was relatively empty, the server wanted to seat us a small table, but we sat in a booth. The first thing she said was, "You want the buffet, right?" We ordered our lunches and 35 minutes later, no food. We noticed the serve spending quite a bit of time with another couple, just visiting. we finally got her attention and asked about our order. She went to check on it and the cook said he never got the order. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. We both asked for "to go" boxes and when the server brought us Styrofoam boxes she said management wouldn't let them give out pizza boxes. Seriously??? The manager said she'd discount our food by 50% due to their error. My lunch special was $8,79, plus my drink. When I paid my bill it was $11.63. Later it dawned on me I could not have received the 50% discount I was promised. I looked at my receipt and I received a partial discount on my meal. It was $8.79 and I received a $4.29 discount, BUT WAS CHARGED $3.99 for a dinner salad that was supposed to be part of the lunch special. When it was all said and done, I got an 11 cent discount for waiting 45 minutes for my food and being ignored with the server. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Just went to have dinner with my father here. We walked in and it was pretty busy so we had a seat and waited for a hostess. There were plenty of tables that were empty, but had not been bussed. Not a problem. We had no problem waiting. The first hostess came out and told us there was a ten minute wait. We waited a few minutes and another hostess came and asked us if it was just the two of us. She then took us to a table. We started looking at the menu, when the first hostess came to our table and said we needed to go back and wait for a different table. We got up without a problem. Yummy pizza that the whole family liked. I love some gourmet pizzas, but the kids aren't into that. This is just a really good pizza made with quality ingredients. The toppings are loaded sky high! Walked in. Greet time was five minutes. Nothing but kids working there and constantly on their phones. Had to get Togo cups and silverware due to dirty plates and cups. I asked for their signature pizza shake that I get from poppa Rollos on valley mills every time and he had no idea what I was talking about. Laughing in the kitchen I saw him type my order up. Food was good but could have been warmer and crispier. My son handed me the receipt after I paid and what he showed me shocked me! Instead of inputing "extra pizza shake" the young kid that was my waiter typed "extra titty sprinks" I will be contacting management for my young son has seen this and I am appalled . I will try to post picture for proof! Not a typo either. You have to manually type in special notes like that. They deserve the rating they got because of service and immaturity read more
