I am ruined, plain and simple. Let me explain…read more.. I went to a wedding over the weekend where Linda filled the cookie table with delicious treats and made the gorgeous wedding cake. While we waited for the bride and groom to enter the reception we sauntered over to the cookie table and grabbed a couple nibbles. Peanut butter cookies with chocolate on top, tiny little adorable nut rolls, vanilla Pizzelles, Russian tea cakes, pecan tarts, iced sugar cookies, heart cut out cookies with jam(?), coconut puffs drizzled with fine chocolate, apricot rolls, shortbread cookies with a little berry topping (raspberry Linzer, maybe?), and more were spread out before us! Everything tasted so amazing! Pecan tarts were perfectly nutty, yet soft and delicious. The Pizzelles were thin, crisp and amazingly yummy (I don't like Anise ones, and these vanilla were fantastic). The iced sugar cookies were melt-in-your-mouth perfection that I didn't want to end. My favorite, however, were the lady locks. These delicate treats are cream-filled wrapped pastries that are a little slice of heaven! And we weren't the only ones who thought that, as the lady locks were the first to disappear off the table. So now I am ruined. All other cookies just don't stack up to Linda's wonderful creations! We traveled a little over 3 hours to get to the wedding. Lindaz Little Bakery is no where close to where we live. How can I even look at store bought cookies after this? (gasp!) What will I tell my mum!? (panicked) I have no poker face! "Dear Mum, your cookies are 'ok'. "? Ruined. (slowly shakes head and sighs sadly)

Decided to check out a new local bakery, which opened in April of 2017. What a treat! Seriously…read morethe BEST pepperoni roll I have ever tasted - a superior grade roll, thick sliced pepperoni with mozzarella cheese. They also come with hot pepper cheese, which I will have to try next time. The texture of the bread was fabulous. Also tried an assortment of sweets. I don't even favor butterscotch cookies, but this one was great - a light cookie with enough, but not overwhelming, taste of butterscotch. My favorite cookie is an orange frosted cookie, and this one is the second best one I have had, again a light cookie with just the right amount of flavor, with a smoith frosting. The donut was of the cake variety, again a light texture well balanced with flavor, not drenched in sugar to cover up a low quality product. Lemon gob and cinnamon roll were also above average. Linda is a gifted baker, who gets up every morning at 3 a.m to get her fresh products ready. So support a small local business and treat yourself! I don't see myself stopping by a grocery store bakery while Lindaz is open!

I still love the decor and the photos around the place. Ramps and eggs were amazing. I guess it's ramp season (very strong onion) and i couldn't pass it up. It had whipped Ricotta and pesto on fresh sourdough. It was incredible. A ton of flavor and the bread was phenomenal. I was also informed the Philly was amazing. Loved the flavors.

When you walk in, there is a dining area to the right and a coffee shop with pastries to the left. Though we had to wait a bit for a table, we enjoyed looking at the yummy treats in the case as everything looked fabulous. Sunday is brunch so both breakfast and lunch menus were available. My daughter got a burger and Caesar salad, my husband got an omelette, and I got some onion rings and free rein to eat off their plates. Everything was delicious but the onion rings were a standout! It reminded me of a blooming onion in the best way! The strawberry jelly for the toast was also among the best I've ever had, and clearly made in house as it tasted so fresh. Our server was very pleasant but things moved a little slowly and we had to ask multiple times for our side of dressing. I was also shocked to see that a cup of coffee was $5! Overall though, this place was a delight and I wish I would have saved room for dessert.
