I'm in love with puppets! And ive dragged my kids to see them all. I remember when this company opened a few years ago and was excited to try them, but never got around to it. I was alittle aprehensive because of past reviews but had been to a party that they did a puppet show for, and it was great. The company has apparently changed hands and the new ower has revamped the whole thing! They have everything, puppet show, bouncy houses, face paint and cotton candy. We have used this company 3 times in the last 2 months! Lots of April birthdays and commuinions in our family. And every event was amazing! Small World provided a work function/event that I had to plan with a balloon twister and a face painter. The two girls that came were kind, efficient, and the kids absolutely loved the services they provided. They partnered with us ahead of time to take a look at what specific designs for face painting that we wanted... And practiced them before the event. Then, on the day of the event everyone in attendance was very impressed with how personal the face painting was. A big thank you to Small World, the people who helped me book and then the professional performers that came the day of our fair. Great job, I will be using Small World again for personal use as well as work-related functions. read more

I used Small World for my Daughters first Bday . every one of my guests had a blast. I don't know who enjoyed the party more , the kids or the adults.It was a 2 hour party and not one second was wasted. The clown even stayed 15 minutes later to face paint children that came later to the party. I will use Small world over and over for years to come. you will not be disappointed. read more

Extremely disappointed!! We had two of your workers at our house yesterday for a pizzaz party and it was absolutely terrible. I'm so disappointed. We spent a lot of money to have these girls entertain the kids. First , they didn't have music and had to wait for someone to drop it off so for 60 minutes of our 90 min show there was no music. They played maybe three songs. The girls barely smiled and then packed up early. I honestly expect some kind of refund because this is not ok. read more

The worst children's entertainment company I have ever encountered. I contracted with them for my granddaughter's first birthday. The puppet show we had was boring and the performer's head was showing throughout the show. They played three games with the children which lasted 15 minutes and then tried to sell me additional activities during the party. I paid for two hours of service and they were packed up and gone in 1.5 hours. Don't get fooled by their colorful website and promises to provide professional and entertaining service. You don't get what you paid for. A real ripoff. read more

Where do I begin..this other local company cancelled on my 5 hours before my event because they weren't confident that they would be getting publicity for helping out, it was a fundraiser or a little boy with cancer. This amazing amazing amazing woman who by the way isn't even local sends out TWO girls free of charge to help out at our event. Not only we're they the sweetest girls but blew my mind away with the painting skills...we had the good humor ice cream truck there the Vintage one and they actually painted a realistic looking ice cream bar on his arm and logo...they played with the children..had a full set of makeup unlike others I have seen. Like big giant makeup boxes. They had cute matching aprons...I LOVE LOVE LOVE this company and these girls!!!! read more

This company is terrible. The two girls that came to work the party. Immediately asked me for the balance and refused to unload their car till it was paid. Once they were inside. They set up the puppet show in the shade so the kids were sitting in the sun. When I asked them to move it. They gave us a terrible attitude. We cut the puppet show short cause it was that bad. They also started 15 minutes late and left early. I also paid for characters, balloons and tattoos. Which costs me about 460$. I had about 15 kids at the party. Not one of them had a tattoo. There were about 5 sword balloons made for the boys. The girls for dressed up in the characters and didn't even walk around. They basically stood in one spot just standing there. And then I had to tip them. By far the worst 560$ I have ever spend. read more

i agree with the previous comment i used this company for a party and the entertained were mediocre if that....they were young and unenthusiastic...this company is supposed to be specifically for children entertainment and they didnt engage with the children at my party like they should have.....the got there and were finished in the blink of and eye and it wasnt worth a dime that i spent the owner is completely unprofessional and has terrible business management i am disgusted!!! read more

In 2012, I contracted Small World Entertainment to provide entertainment services for a children's birthday party. I was quite pleased with the services provided, so I booked them for an upcoming event on April 30th of this year. Unfortunately, my recent dealings with Ashley at the company did not live up to my expectations. I initially phoned the company daily for approximately a week, and also sent an email to assess availability. My email and 3 voicemails were responded to an entire week later, which is highly unprofessional. Ashley stated that it was because I left the message on the wrong line. I was surprised at this statement as I would assume in a professional capacity, someone from the company pass my message along. When I finally got a hold of them on March 8th, I booked with Ashley, who told me I would receive a contract in the mail. I also requested an email copy; I received neither. After calling back on March 11th for an update, Ashley advised that she had sent both, and evidence of the email was in her outbox and that she mailed the contract; she would email and mail another physical copy. After a week and no courtesy call from the company to at least confirm receipt, I still had not gotten the contract. I called on March 18th to cancel and asked for a refund. It was again Ashley with whom I spoke who asked me to send an email requesting cancelation, to which I did and she confirmed receipt while I was still on the line. Ashley also advised that she would need to speak with Doug, the owner, to approve a refund since bookings are generally non-refundable. This was surprising given most, if not all companies, provide a refund, or at least partial if canceling well over a month in advance! Furthermore, I was not informed during booking that this was the case, and again - I STILL had not received a contract. I asked to be placed on hold while she reached Doug, but she advised he would not be in until Tuesday (March 22). I called then, and again spoke with Ashley who advised that Doug could not be reached but that she would try to reach him again; as when she initially spoke to him, he was averse to providing a refund. I gave the company until Friday, March 25th (not sure if they were closed for the holiday) before I left a message asking for an update. As of this afternoon, Wednesday, March 30th, no response. BEWARE of this company. It's just not worth the effort - who knows if with this type of delayed response and poor customer service, if they would have even showed up to perform.... read more

Don t waste your money!! This company promises more than they deliver - and word to the wise, they have probably received so many complaints - that their contracts and disclaimers protect them in case you are not happy with their services. The owners leaves a lot to be desired - when I told them that I paid for close to one thousand dollars for a bouncer, a puppet show, cotton candy, bubbles, and games (limbo, musical chairs, etc) - I expected the entertainers to keep my guests happy and having fun as PROMISED. Instead they sent me two high school kids that did nothing except stand around the entire time. They barely interacted with my guests and when I asked them to play music - they rolled their eyes! The puppet show promised a meet and greet at the end for pictures. Instead, they packed up and left as soon as they were done. They pride themselves in entertainment and hiring good people - don t think so. Save your money and go to another company!! read more
