The employees that are currently employed there do not meet the physical, emotional, ethical, or intellectual standards for developing children to model. There is no curriculum and the bare minimum of effort is done to provide a productive environment. There is no structure to the day despite what you may be told. The children are left to their own devices to play with dirty donated toys in a Lord of the Flies-like setting. The Director and another member of staff have been at this facility for 20 years, which is longer than most marriages, and have a deeply unethical and unprofessional relationship. They will cover up and obscure wrongdoing at your child's expense. They speak poorly of the children and their parents when being in no condition to look down on anyone. This institution is not a childcare development center; rather, it is a petty fiefdom that is lorded over by individuals who are lazy in the realm of physical fitness, emotional development, and general ethics. If you care at all about the well-being of your child and their capacity to develop into a productive adult that contributes positively to humanity, do not send your child here. As a strong believer in evidence and empiricism when visiting the institution, I encourage you to observe the individuals and environment for yourself to verify that what is being claimed here is true. For your child's sake heed this warning. There are other institutions with ethical, knowledgeable, and motivated staff that will enrich your child and put them on the path towards success.

My son is typically a very social, happy, and engaged boy and even at our first daycare, which we did not love for similar issues, he at least was very very quick to warm up and happy to be there. This place was a different story altogether and my main and major gripe is with the young ones teacher, Ms. Ryann--cold, detached, minimally engaged. I spent 40 minutes with my son to help him ease in on his first day at this daycare. The whole time I was in the 1 year old room, his teacher did not greet either of us, did not offer to show us where to put things....nothing. I had to go up to her and ask her right as I had to leave. She did barely anything to comfort my son when he burst into tears when I went to leave. All big red flags to me. It continued like that for our whole time there and from the times I was able to check in on the livestreams, it was the same thing from this teacher -- bare minimum greetings or verbal/app updates, no warmth towards my son as he'd walk around crying by himself throughout the mornings, no attempts to get him to join the other babies as she sat in the corner with them like a lazy lump doing no activities any time I looked in. Wouldn't know if she ever did since she never sent a single update picture the entire time we stayed there. Every day when I dropped him off and picked him up, he would totally melt down and cling to me--very different from his typical personality and even very different from his quick and easy adjustment period at his last daycare. The only day he seemed happy at pickup AND the only day we got a single picture update was a day another teacher covered. That teacher actually led art activities and I saw her smiling and engaging with him and the other babies each time I checked the livestream. The difference in his demeanor was night and day, after just one day On top of all that, he was being offered hardly any water while he was there with the normal teacher, as evidenced by a sudden and notable change in his BMs, his desire to guzzle the water I offered him at pick up and from me beginning to monitor the water level of his cup at drop off and pick up (which didn't change at all on multiple days) When we toured, one of my main concerns was that his last daycare wasn't actually taking the babies outside to play at all and we were assured these kiddos went out practically every single morning. I did tend to bring him at the tail end of the time the babies were supposed to be outside most mornings, but there was never any sign of the others being outside. Yet, when I would check the cameras to see if my baby was having a better time later in the AM (about an hour or so after drop off and the time they were meant to be outside), the kids wouldn't be visible on cameras as it seemed they were outside.... I asked about this and was told they werent actually outside at this time, just "watching the other kids play from the door"....because why?? Sounds kind of mean to not let them get their own play time, but make them watch others play...probably just because the teachers themselves wanted to socialize. That's an assumption, to be fair, but not far fetched imo To be transparent, we were only there for about 2 weeks/7 actual days. I let the director know concerns at disenrollment but didn't wait around for her to address them--time is short and everything in my gut was saying this situation sucked for him. The director didn't seem bad, and the rest of the staff was at least friendly on surface level so 2 stars instead of 1 SO happy we switched places, as it was an immediate change in his happiness and demeanor on day 1 and every single day since. We're greeted warmly and he gets right into playing happily. Hes all smiles at pickup, and we get tons of activity photos all day long. They go outside every morning and sometimes in PM and his poo is magically back to normal! Who would have thought warm energy and offering water could make such an immediate and drastic difference

However, outside the superficial, Britcha is anything but. The teachers in each classroom are very well supported. Each usually has one or two class aids. Additionally, students from the UA come to get some of their teaching hours there. They have a very welcoming environment and refer to children in gender neutral terms as "friends." They also have referrals for AZEip if your child needs it. This is NOT a money run business like you find at places like Adventure time with inconsistent staff. They even have rates for government employees. It took us 3 years to find the best place for our kiddo. Don't pass up Brichta without checking it out first. It is truly a west side gem. In addition to their regular curriculum they also offer enrichment class! During the day!!! While your little is already at school! Music! Sign Language! Spanish! Soccer! These are taught by actual instructors and coaches.

My son was enrolled here for about 2.5 weeks, he left early twice due to being sick during that…read moretime. It didn't work out for my 1 year old so I decided to have someone watch him from home. I paid for the time he was there plus also paid an additional $280 2 weeks advance, 2 weeks he did not go since I pulled him out of the school. They're refusing to give me a refund because I was to have given a 2 week withdrawal notice despite the fact my son was only enrolled there for 2.5 weeks, so that doesn't make sense. I can POSSIBLY understand a company's point of view but as a customer, why are you keeping my money you didn't earn? The facility didn't care for my son those days therefore shouldn't free pocket MY $280. There was always different teachers in his class, never knew them by name, once there were two new teachers in there together in the evening (I'd never seen them before, they were wearing matching polo yellow shirts) and one was complaining about how she is sick (it was obvious too), probably why my son got sick. I…read morehave been actively visiting various preschools and childcare centers in search of the best environment for my two-year-old son. Throughout this process, I have encountered several programs that did not meet my standards or expectations. Adventure School, however, stood out as a refreshing and reassuring exception. Although I did not have a scheduled appointment, I was warmly welcomed by Sarah, who immediately made me feel at ease. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and kindly offered to show me the two-year-old classroom. The teacher in that room was attentively seated with a child who appeared to be waking up or had just arrived, while the other children played calmly within her line of sight. Importantly, the classroom was in ratio--something I've found to be lacking in many other centers. The environment was calm, organized, and engaging. The walls displayed children's artwork, the classroom was rich in print, and materials were thoughtfully arranged without being overwhelming. A child-sized bathroom was located within the classroom, providing convenient access for potty-trained children. Throughout the tour, I asked detailed questions about teacher-to-child ratios, daily schedules, tuition, meals, hours of operation, and more. Sarah was able to answer all my inquiries thoroughly and without hesitation. She also discussed classroom transitions and walked us through the three-year-old room. Before that, she allowed my son to explore the outdoor play area, which included developmentally appropriate toys and climbing structures. We also had a meaningful conversation about early intervention, including AzEIP and Child Find, and how the school supports children who may be experiencing developmental delays. Sarah's knowledge and genuine commitment to supporting all children were clearly evident. Sarah's demeanor was warm, professional, and consistent throughout the visit. Despite spending a significant amount of her time with us, Sarah never appeared rushed or inconvenienced. This was a stark contrast to the reception I've received at several other centers. Upon leaving, I immediately contacted a friend who is also searching for a preschool and strongly recommended she consider Adventure School, despite the distance. Had the location been closer to our home and workplace, and the cost more manageable for our budget, I would have enrolled my son on the spot. Based on my experience, I have full confidence that he would be safe, supported, and nurtured in this environment.
