    I just wanted to say hi Mr. Marcus is really running his store it is like really amazing to see people in really good spirits I recently lost my son and my husband so I'm kind of down but coming to the store really make me feel holiday spirit Mr. Marcus is like Tee Work and his registers helping at the cashiers I love it thank you guys for turn up my holidays

    Stopping in this Smart & Final was for some Jone's Turkey Breakfast Sausage for a recipe of sausage stuffed mushrooms I was making later in the day. They had what I needed for a really good price of $1.79 for a one pound frozen tube. A pretty good deal if you ask me. I also picked up some unrelated mangoes for at two for $1 another fair price. They were good size mangoes too. A few needed to be removed due to over ripeness. I browse a little further done the meat aisle, bread aisle, and the rest of the produce department which was quite small compared to most Smart & Finals and being an "Extra." As I browsed, I could not help notices that the store was in a need of some organizing and cleaning, especially around the meat department. Service at the register was friendly enough but not much for conversation.

    My small grocery stop when I don't do bulk shopping at Costco. Always found what I'm looking for. Large clean bathrooms & PLENTY of parking.

    The people are nice, but the food is ALWAYS a few days away from expiring. It's not the best place to go to for grocery shopping.

    Who needs Costco or Sam's Club? This place has the large quantities for cheap. Good stuff and the store is well-maintained.

I still wanted to purchase it, at the register upon opening it to see if it had any damages it looked like it had a scratch. I politely asked if I could get some sort of discount. The cashier said normally no but that she would ask her team lead. The cashier was sweet no issues with her. The team lead on the other hand, rose or Rosa she was very rude. She told me to my face that she wasn't sure if I had opened it so she couldn't offer a discount. I asked her if she could check the cameras then because I didn't mind waiting and again that's the condition I found it in. She continued to have a rude tone with me and gave me 11¢ off. Not what I was hoping for but I accepted the¢ discount. I then told rose or Rosa with a very polite tone that she was rude and she said back "I'm not being rude" and refused to check herself. Rosa or rose also told the cashier to go on lunch so she turned off her sign but the rose or Rosa turned it back on then got mad at the cashier for not turning it off.

    Don't shop here. The…read morecustomer service area alone is a reason to avoid this store. It routinely takes 15-30 minutes just to reach the counter due to how slow and understaffed it is. I had a very strange, off-putting, and anti-consumer experience trying to return a DVD that was sold as new and sealed but was damaged inside once opened. The damage was not visible prior to purchase and was discovered only after opening the sealed packaging. The item was not damaged by me. When I first went to the electronics department, I was told I could purchase a replacement DVD and then go to customer service to return the damaged one. Most items are kept behind glass, which already makes shopping here frustrating. It often takes several minutes just to find an employee to unlock anything. At customer service, the team leader on duty, Nybo, who was working Saturday, January 3, 2026 around 11:30 AM, stated along with her staff that the situation was my fault for not knowing store policy and that Walmart does not accept returns on damaged physical media. There is no signage in the electronics department, no notice on the locked media displays, and no disclosure at the register stating that physical media is final sale even when defective. Had this been clearly disclosed, I would not have made the purchase. During the interaction, Nybo laughed while I was explaining how confusing and unreasonable this policy is. Her tone was dismissive, and her behavior appeared to set the tone for the rest of the staff. At one point, security was called to the area even though I was calm and not being disruptive. The hostility was coming from the staff, not me. Even small local retailers will usually correct an issue when they sell a defective product. Walmart refusing to stand behind an item it sold as new while blaming the customer is extremely disappointing. I have escalated this issue to corporate and will be filing a formal complaint. I will not be shopping at this location again.
