PASS ON THIS PLACE. Would not recommend this place. I was looking around to find a place a bit…read morecloser to us than our usual barks and rec (they are great by the way just a bit far and a little more expensive). We took our two dogs there for a temperament evaluation since it was their first time and we were wanting to book them for a week in October. They took them back for maybe 3 MINUTES and came back out and said that one of our dogs was nervous (I'm sorry but duh) and that we needed to book "A LOT" of day visits so he would not be nervous anymore. It's odd because it's totally normal for any dog to be nervous the first time going somewhere which immediately threw up a red flag for me. Not to mention the lady was pretty rude about it when I was obviously confused as to how they would know his normal stress levels after 3 minutes upon getting there. I got weird vibes so I just said we can cancel it and no worries. She immediately snaps back and says something about me not being fair to our dog if I don't book daycare visits regularly and what am I even doing there if we already have a boarding place etc.(very strange behavior). Most places have you book a day visit so they can see how your dog adjusts the entire day which our dogs do totally fine. Our dog is 10 years old and doesn't have any underlying anxiety conditions and was never prescribed medication for that ever so this seemed odd. Just a bad vibe in general. Unfriendly staff and insufficient time to actually see how the dogs warm up to the place for the first time.

I'm pretty shocked by some recent low reviews. I've used this vet years ago when i lived in the…read morearea and they were great. Today i went in for a mass removal estimate/examination, and not only was the staff extremely kind and helpful, they provided me with the lowest estimate out of 10 different vet offices I called. Even the highest estimate is lower than what most vets quoted me at over the phone. I have an appointment tomorrow for the removal, and i will update this over time after the procedure. For now, could not be happier with this clinic. Working at a dog training facility for years, i deal with lots of vet offices. Im very impressed and grateful so far, and will be recommending this vet to my clients if their work is as good as their service.

I am deeply disappointed by this clinic, not because of the medical care itself, but because of…read morewhat happened when my dog needed specialty surgery. We were referred to Access in Woodland Hills without any meaningful warning about what that experience would be like. At no point were we told that Access requires full payment up front, offers no flexibility, or operates in a way that prioritizes financial compliance over humane communication. Had we known this in advance, we would have asked for other referral options. What was most upsetting is that when we later experienced dismissive and coercive treatment at Access, it became clear that this was not an anomaly. Many independent specialty clinics do offer payment plans, transparent conversations, or at least respectful explanations of alternatives. None of that context was shared with us before the referral. A referring veterinarian has a responsibility to do more than simply hand off a case. Referrals should include guidance, informed consent, and a clear picture of what a client is walking into, especially when the situation is urgent and emotionally charged. By sending us to Access in Woodland Hills without preparation or options, this clinic put us in an unnecessarily distressing situation at one of the most vulnerable moments a pet owner can experience. I expected advocacy and transparency. I did not expect to feel abandoned when guidance mattered most.
