Smart Tech was the most professionally run service company that I've dealt with in my 25 years down in SOFLO! I'm sure I'm not alone with companies down here that either don't show up or do shoddy work. From the very beginning, when I called, JR the owner took my call. He gave me a time frame that his tech would be out and told me he would give me 1/2 hour notice before the tech was coming. Right on time, the tech called to say he was on his way"..... Since I was unable to be home my wife met with JR who explained everything in detail and made recommendations that saved us a lot of money!! Fantastic company and spectacular service! Angel, Jr. came out the same day I called to fix my refrigerator. He drove to W. Palm Beach, from Plantation, to get a part my fridge needed and by the end of the day my fridge was back in service. VERY DISHONEST ABOUT EVERYTHING!! Richard wanted to charge me $879 to replace the complete computer control board and motor when I only needed the ice dispenser door flap parts replaced. I found the complete kit (with a new door) needed on-line for $105. The complete video to repIace all the parts was 16 minutes. I called and spoke with JR who wanted to charge me over $600 to only replace the ice dispenser door/kit. He told me the part cost him $250 from Kitchenaid but I called Kitchenaid and was told the part is no longer made and to buy it on-line. JR admitted I did not need the control board. I paid the service call and called another honest and fair company. I was offered $51 off if I paid cash for the complete computer control board (also dishonest). read more

I contacted Smart Tech among others to get a quote to service my washing machine. I described the problem as fully as I could and within moments of hitting the send button, I had a response telling me that I had a serious problem that didn't warrant repair. I appreciated the honest assessment and continued to ask a number of questions all of which Angel patiently answered fully. I have no reason to think that he is any less diligent, honest and thorough in his work as he is in his troubleshooting and responses. I can only say good things about Angel!, I reached him on a Sunday to setup appointment for that next week and he said he could be there Monday, which was a surprise because every else where I called they only had availability for the end of the week and he showed up earlier than promised, to accommodate my tenants schedule, to service the refrigerator and was efficient and patient on explaining to me what the issue was and the options that I could choose from, giving me hope that I did not needed to replace a still new refrigerator as other technician had recommended. He explained that wanted to test somethings for a more efficient service by finding a better solution $$ for us. As I followed up with the tenant, they explained that the leak had continued, but in a smaller amount (as advised by Angel that it could happen), I called and advised him as he asked for updates as well, and was there right the next morning and provided a forever solution with no extra cost for this following visit!...and guess what? Did not need to buy a new refrigerator!!! I can totally recommend him! read more
