The simpler, the better--Less to go wrong! Staff is helpful, knowledgeable, professional, accommodating--and the place has been there since 1956! People just don't get any nicer than these.... I once bought an Amana for over $1,200, brand new. I thought I had finally achieved what I'd always wanted. Well, what a piece of junk! One thing after another went wrong. They sell used and slightly used stuff, some of it is even NEW, maybe a slight "imperfection" scratch, dent. But most importantly Terry will absolutely make you happy with whatever you buy...no question. Good selection of used appliances at a fair price just make sure you get what you paid for. I purchased a refrigerator yesterday and got a different one delivered to my rental property. The delivery guy called the store and was then told they switched it out because the one I chose didn't work when they plugged it in. Ok...things happen, but why not call me and let me know instead of just trying to sneak in another one that was dirtier with more markings on it? Maybe they thought I'd never notice since it was for a rental and the tenants wouldn't know the difference? Left me with a bad 'bait and switch' feeling. I agreed to just keep the one they chose to avoid further delay but regardless, bad business practice on their part. A heads up would've been appreciated. read more

Biggest piece of crap I've ever purchased. I should have known better. I bought a double door used Maytag. The thing quit working on me 69 days later. Yes. They were kind enough to send someone out to fix it. But it still didn't work right. When I asked about replacing it they refsued saying all they could do was fix it and now it was past the warranty. 8 months latter. I'm still without the fridge I paid for. Bottom line. This company takes salvages and tried to repair them. They won't replace it if it doesn't work. And like mine, 69 days latter it quit working and now out of warranty and out if money and no way to keep food for my toddler.. I will never buy here again. Great place to buy appliances for a rental property. Good pricing & only $25 for delivery and removal.

BUYER BEWARE! The previous owner of our house got a deal From Appliance Outlet that was too good to be true, on a 40" GE Monogram Built-in Refrigerator, right before they sold us the house. $1,500 for an $8,000 appliance! Problem is we just called GE Service because it isn't cooling anymore. The repairman showed us that all the serial #s had been removed, not only voiding the GE Warranty but also GE WON'T EVEN SERVICE THE UNIT! They compared it to trying to register a car that had it's serial numbers filed down. Lesson learned, when a deal sounds too good to be true. It probably is. It isn't such a good deal if you can't have it serviced when it breaks. Then it is just a $1,500 piece of garbage! read more

The people are nice and seemingly knowledgeable, the refrigerators I had narrowed my search down to looked good and were very reasonably priced (all their refrig's are between $200-$250 w $20 delivery is what I was initially told) ....... HOWEVER, I got the Model numbers of the two I liked and did research ultimately directly with Sears (they were both Kenmore) : The age of each that they said, "we think it's about 3-4 years and we think it's 5-7 years old," were 14 years and 18 years old! That's not a little estimate error .. Those are ridiculous errors (one was mfg'd in 1995 and one in 1999). I think the customers who keep them in business must a/ not know how to do basic research or, b/ pray a lot or return for new ones often. BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD. read more

They did not have quite what I wanted here but the owners are wonderful. If you find your appliance, they deliver it for free. The prices are comparable to what you get in the big appliance stores and they sit down with you re your specific needs, for example the AC BTU requirements, installation, etc. read more

If you don't agree with them they stab you in the back, I was using them for years until they installed a refrigerator in one of the rental units I was managing, the refrigerator got bad within the warranty time (3 months) I asked them to go and check it, they never called emailed me, just go for the fix, and then they have the nerve to send me a $150.00 bill. When I called the answer is that when they are called for service, they go and fix and then they charge. I don't believe is fair that I have to make my Landlord pay for something we didn't know if it was what we wanted, for $50.00 more we could have another refrigerator. Now I realize they put a bad review on me as if they were my clients. Not a good way of doing business. read more

This place is like a shop out of a 1950s movie, in a good way. Everybody is working hard, but looking like they were pretty happy to be doing it. When we parked, a guy cleaning an appliance came rushing over to us, to tell us where we parked was muddy, and he didn't want me to get my shoes messed up, so he directed us down the way to a dryer spot! Once inside, the place is like well-oiled chaos, chock full of characters, who are hilarious, but obviously know their stuff, and who all seem to have worked together forever - everybody is doing everything all the time, but stuff gets done. And everyone called me "honey" and "sweetie" but in the nicest, sincerest way. In the store, they have a ton of used, refurbed and scratch and dent appliances of every description, style and price range, and there seemed to be lot's of wheeling and dealing going on. We bought a new, slightly dinged up fridge for less that 25% of the listed retail, and it was delivered the next day. There were a couple problems with the delivery, but all were eventually overcome; and there was a small problem with a missing part, which again was fixed up in no time, no fuss, no muss, no excuses, no bullsh@t. I love businesses and companies like this! Super customer oriented, doing an honest job, filling a needed niche, and doing it happily, professionally, and in a friendly, straight forward manner. This review was a long time coming ! (about eight years LOL)this operation is amazing not only great selection not exactly what I needed for my oddly sized kitchen - super pricing given it everything is rebuilt or slightly used.-but often also top-of-the-line.They also stand behind what they sell and service. Basically the whole inside workings of our fridge was replaced after three or four repairs that didn't hold. Their warrantee had already expired but they didn't even blink to make it right.No attitude, brought us a loaner, and now eight years later this fridge is still going strong as is the flat glasstop oven of that was also a specific measurement that they found for us. Why such a late review? Well I see their truck outside my window and it just reminded me how much I love the integrity of this business. And I could see they're still using the same delivery guy which that's something amazing! read more

These folks are the best. I had a problem with my fridge not starting. Unlike a lot of businesses today who would come out on a service call and charge me more than the fridge is worth. I stopped by this store and they were so helpful. They told me what to check for and how to fix the problem. They refused any money from me for their time and advise. Most of the appliances looked like junk. Old stoves, beat up fridges,etc. But we needed a stacking washer dryer for a rental unit. This place came highly recommended by a friend, but it was a mistake. The washer/dryer we bought didn't work from the moment we got it delivered by them. It's only been 30 days and the repair guy has been out twice. We're currently waiting on a part which "could take a week" to get. Yes, it was much less expensive than buying new but probably not worth the hassle. I would likely not use them again. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Unfortunately for me I've had to deal with these people several times. They have never called me in advance to make drop off or pick up arrangements. My property manager chooses to do business with them in spite of my informing him about the different incidents I've experienced with them. This is the last incident: They sold us an old refrigerator that didn't work. One of their guys came to pick it up. As usual, nobody called me to make arrangements. He shows up banging on my door. I asked him why didn't anyone call me to make arrangements. He tells me to just give him fridge. I tell him I'm not surprised since no one has ever called me to make arrangements in the past and how they always screw up the calling in advance part.He then yells, "You screwed up". I express my disappointment in how rude and unprofessional he is acting and how it's unacceptable. He proceeds to mock me repeating "it's unacceptable". I advise him that I would be calling his supervisor to file a formal complaint for his behavior. He responds by telling me in sarcasm "oh, I'm so afraid I'm going to get fired". He's still mocking me as he's walking away with the fridge. The people who have come to my house are sketchy. I would not let them inside my home if it wasn't for property manager doing business with them. Another man who delivered a different fridge, scratched & damaged my floor since he didn't know what he was doing. He also acted as if he had been drinking or on drugs - - scattered brains and not focused on what he was doing. His clothes were disheveled etc. I will never do business with Appliance Outlet. Side note: I've a stove from them that half the knobs have fallen out cause they don't belong to it and one knob doesn't even turn - - it's stuck so I can't even use that burner. Instead of buying a set of generic stove knobs from Lowe's or Home Depot and doing everything in their power to deliver the best used stove they possibly can they don't care. They drop the appliance off & you figure it out. So much to tell, so little time. If you want the best product and/or decent customer service do NOT buy anything from here. Don't work with this company. The repair man was loud would not stop talking. To fix the fridge he throw water in the freezer push and turned the fan. Then he said that's why the fridge was not cooling. On top of that I had to clean up a huge water mess inside the fridge and all over the floor. He claimed my 14 year old fridge could last for ever. It barely lasted 3 days. What a rip off. If you call them on the phone you get someone who is rude and sounds annoyed by your complain. They don't have any problem taking you money right away. Worst customer service ever. One week after they serviced dryer it was doing the same thing. We called to have re-serviced no one ever showed up when we call to find out why, the girl who answers the phone is rude and hangs up on you in mid sentence. When you call she tells you a tech will call you back and hangs up without taking a phone number. Save your money go somewhere else read more
