It's a scam that is designed to get your contact info then sell it to marketers. They do NOT give you a quote themselves. Quotes are NOT completed online - they get your info, waste your time, and then line you up for spam calls. Today I asked for an insurance quote through SF & the first site I was directed to was so full of malware that Bitdefender blocked the site. The second site I was directed to had none of my info & I had to re-enter everything again, making the 5 minutes I spent filling out info on SmartFinancial a complete scam to Phish for my information & sell it. I have used many other lead vendors and can honestly say I have never received a fraction of the service that Kyle provided, its not even comparable. Even though I stopped using the service as the industry went through historic changes, he always checked back in to see how things were going, which no one else did. He was always professional, never pushy when I declined to start up leads again and always provided me valuable market insights. He told me that he would refund calls and he actually had no authority to do so. He also told me to ignore the 5 min rule - but if you go over 5 min they WILL NOT refund your call even when the person told me they were NOT LOOKING FOR LIFE INSURANCE! Even the transfers I sold did not stick because of the clientele and trickery they use to attract people to fill out the form. My first attempt with this company last year was a complete disaster as I received zero quality leads and when I tried communicating with my "rep" she simply quit corresponding. So I paused my acct for a YEAR. Then someone recently contacted me to restart and the same horrible quality home leads poured in. What's even WORSE is their return policy states criteria for a refund but when I try they ALL get automatically DECLINED!? Even if it's a DISCONNECTED PHONE #! I try to speak to supervisor/underwriting but that's "not allowed". Also, if you do not have automatic deposits to your account the LEADS TURN OFF?!? If I could give this company zero stars I would. My account manager Jessica white has ran me around in circles for months over getting the proper refund to my account. I gave a review 2 months ago with the promise of getting my refund only if I took my review down. So I did and only receive $260. There is still $400 in live transfer leads that I never got to speak to or hung up within a minute and got charged for and refund was declined. If that doesn't show you what type of company this is I don't know what will. There has been many false promises and now jessica my account manager has just resorted to ignoring me and not answering my text or phone calls. The leads were terrible, they were always calling for free insurance or senior insurance that was only $18 a month. The ads this company runs are super misleading and are just click bait for people that don't know any better. This company cost me thousands of dollars and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I don't know anything about them or what they offer, but they have been harassing me with non-stop calls regarding insurance and I have no idea how they received my contact info. Ive never provided them my contact info or submitted an application with them. they have called me no joke 50 times in one day all from different numbers. I've told multiple reps to put me on DNC yet they still call. I can't block them fast enough. I've asked multiple reps to speak with a manager and they are so rude. They just hang the phone up with 0 explanation, empathy or interest. There is 0 QC here and this is an embarrassingly lead sales org. I really wanted to like this company and handed over a $500 to start to get leads. With their low price they do not give returns and so I am out of luck with my fake names like of Lance Bass and someone with pocohantas in their email and others that said they never put in for a quote. A loss for me and a lesson learned. I asked for immediate notification and I got all of my leads at once, no immediate notification and they said that they cannot filter by amount of coverage desired. Your typical bait and switch company where they advertise "significant savings for auto insurance" when in actuality they just sell your contact information to insurance agencies as warm leads. I used this "service" and was redirected to three auto insurance companies where I had to input the same info I would do anyway if I had just gone to their site directly. Two quotes had higher premiums with lower coverages and the last one could not process the quote. Since using this "service" I have received over 20 phone calls (none left messages) and 6 emails. Upon answering a few of them and telling them that I am not interested, they hang up mid-sentence and call me again later in the day. This has all happened within a 24 hour period. I have posted multiple comments on their facebook page regarding my experience and all they do is delete them and keep their phony 5-star, one-line reviews up! So to recap, I received no savings using this "service" and I am now being bombarded with endless phone calls and emails, with I'm sure text messages and mailers to come, all of which are clearly irrelevant to me and my needs, and of course with no option to opt out! I'm honestly shocked by the reviews left on this site. SmartFinancial promises to provide leads from people that are completing a 35 question questionnaire and that upon completing this they check a button saying they would like an agent to contact them. Out of 18 leads provided so far, I've been able to reach 7 people, which I consider a decent contact ratio. However, out of the 7 that I spoke with 5 assured me they didn't own the vehicle listed in the lead provided and that they never requested a quote. If what SmartFinancial promises to provide is true then you would think the people requesting a quote would enter the actual vehicle that they want quoted. SmartFinancial does not offer refunds for these types of leads because they state that the contact information is correct and that I could still work the lead. Fair enough, but I can buy the same type of lead from AgedLeads for $0.50 to $2.00 versus the $23.00+ that SmartFinancial is selling. I did get 2 quotes from the 7 people I spoke with. One that I closed and the other I declined to continue working because of a communication barrier. However, I'm able to get these same results (if not better results) from my $0.50 to $2.00 AgedLeads. My opinion of this company is that they over promises and underdeliver. read more

I have 35+ yrs. Experience in insurance sales with a record breaking closing ratio. I signed up on a NO CONTRACT service buying leads. Out of the approximately 50 leads I have not had anyone that really wanted a quote however I have been able to quote a few. All with min. Coverage which is not my market. My account was automatically drafted again without notification. They did advise to watch account balance so I would know where I stood. I watched it carefully and my account was drafted when balance was low. Spoke to them about cancelling and refund the amount THEY DO NOT PROCESS REFUNDS. Now I am stuck with another round of really bad leads. I do not reccomend this service. read more

They provided the worst quality leads that we have ever bought in the past. They lied about giving us credits for bad leads, their supervisors dodge most of our calls requesting to credit accounts and when they would call back they would make us wait for days, sometimes weeks to credit the accounts for all the bogus leads that they sold us although they have promised to credit the account. The clients that were transferred to us were upset, and they were mislead on putting their contact information making them think that they were going to get a Medicare refund on their Medicare premium every month, or in some cases they were induced to leave their information thinking that they would get information on Medicaid and things that were completely unrelated to the calls. I addition they transferred calls to us which were never completed and the person either hung up or was disconnected before the call was transferred and they still charged for the leads and refused to credit the account although they claimed that calls under 15 seconds would not be charged! The supervisors lie to you to keep getting money from you while you wait for the credits that never get posted in the account. read more

I would give it a zero star review but the phone did ring a few times... however, I'm pretty certain it's quasi-scam. We wouldn't get any calls, then would be suggested to raise our bid... then raise our bid... then raise our bid to something crazy high then we'd get like two calls back to back. They would 99% junk calls. Most of the time there wasn't even a handover for the call, you just get met with the potential client saying hello hello hello. They would also send calls through that weren't even looking for the insurance we were selling. Many didn't even have a job. You have to deposit money with smart financial before they'll set you up... which seems fine because you feel protected because they claim to give refunds and you could always get your money back... wrong. Once the have your money(which they auto withdrawal once you get so low), you never get it back. And if you have credits/refunds, you have to use a mix of your own money with their refund in order to get it... and getting a refund is nearly impossible because "it's a lead you could still work"... even though they're not even looking for your type of insurance nor even have a job. Most of the data that's collected on the pre- call isn't even populated or it's bogus information. read more

Unfortunately after a few months in, they stopped giving me my credits. After this happened, I cancelled my account. Neal called me up and asked me to return which I paid another $200 to get it started. Guess what happened? Yup, the same thing. They didn't return bad leads and kept my money again.
