Almost $20.00 burger alone. -arrived BEFORE my order was due. -I was a Nike or so away. - my bag was in the on the warmer or pick up area when I got there. -burger was old. Smooshed. We're over at the VA hospital across the street and waiting on some things so we came over here to get some food,we met Dan. He is absolutely amazing. Took care of us and looked out for us. I started coughing I had to go to the bathroom. He immediately showed up and provided the code. I didn't have to go look for it. I didn't have to go ask. As we're ordering things he was explaining our food to us exactly how everything worked. This is our first time here. Definitely will come back again. First time trying Smashburger and not really impressed... For a chain restaurant I was expecting a little faster service upon walking in. When we walked in the person in the front of the line had just finished ordering and the lady behind the counter just walked off for what seemed like forever (probably 5 minutes honestly) before taking our order. Was unsure why it took that long to just take our order when it still needed to be made anyways so I felt like we double waited? Was hoping for a legit Smashburger and maybe it's my fault for ordering a Smashburger with veggies. The veggies were crisp and fresh so that was a plus but the burger overall was no better than Five Guys or The Habit in my opinion. Garlic Smash Fries were good but nothing to write home about. This location actually sucks, and getting a one star is the least that I could do as the service was terrible and disappointing. We received poor service from the same worker/cashier named Dano, that has had negative complaints dating back to four years ago and claimed to be written up 3x before that same year for poor work behavior. As if it couldn't get any worse, the same cashier was out of uniform wearing a backpack and tank top upon entering the establishment. I assume the worst and thought a displaced individual had managed their way behind the counter and near the food. Even guests behind us left after hearing that they were out of ice, tomatoes, and the fountain machine was busted. Having paid over $50 dollars for this food, three members of my household shouldn't have gotten bubble guts from this greasy food. On top of 20 minutes for food that just turned out cold and oily, it's disappointing. The building itself was cold as Antarctica, but in comparison decently clean this time. It is a shame that this same establishment keeps getting bad reviews dating back to almost eight years ago, this is a reoccurring issue especially with staff, that has multiple complaints already. Smash burger needs to work on smashing and cooking fresh burgers rather than SMASHING its customers guts. Corporate knows better, and needs to do better. Please, listen to your customers. And either retrain Dano or let him go, as he keeps bringing your reviews down. read more

The service was so slow, I was waiting for 10 minutes for my food, there wasn't anyone in there so I don't know why it was taking so long. I got onion rings with my meal and they were uncooked, and you could see the batter of it. This place is so inhumane and vial, they took so long making the food but didn't even cook it right. If you really want a burger close by the hospital, it's awesome to have Smashburger around. If you are staying at the Children's hospital, it is like a 5 minutes drive. When we went here, it was not busy. The restaurant is clean and there are lots of seating. I'm not a big burger consumer but it tastes like all the other burgers that I have had in the past. It's good but nothing I am blown away by. The fries were good and I am happy they had some taste to them and were not plain. This burger was okay but I've definitely had better burgers. My Colorado chicken burger was $7.50 and the cheese was inconsistent and dropping all over the place (not in a good way). It was pretty oily and wet which made my lettuce limp. The chicken costs more than getting their beef. I'll stick with beef next time if I try it again. It's clean inside and workers were friendly. The burger bun has a nice texture (not too soft and not dry) but I couldn't get over how messy and unappealing the burger was. I'm not sure if the juices are from the green chile or the cheese. This Smashburger is very clean and nice looking. The lighting is soft, but when I came in about one-third of the ceiling spotlights were on so the place looked a little too dim for my taste. The volume of the music was just right though. Also, the food is of the same consistent quality as the other three Smashburgers I've eaten at: Castle Rock, the other Aurora location, and Northglenn. There was someone in both bathrooms for the entire time I was there, which made me quite conflicted between worrying about their health, and getting mad at them because I needed to pee. The worst was they never emerged from the bathroom so I could neither confirm they're ok, nor give them a dirty look. Like I said, I was conflicted.
