This place has been popping since it opened. I like that it's made to order, and interesting they had the veggie fries. I guess somewhat 'healthier' than regular fries, but fried is fried...lol. A favorite place with a small but free parking lot. Excellent service from (manager?) Steve today, who made sure we were completely satisfied with our order and jumped quickly on my request for additional cheese for my burger. It's always been a decent place but today it seems like they're really trying step up the personalized service. Victoria was friendly and efficient at the register. Clean bathrooms available. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but home office seems like they're trying to lose money. Their web site is almost impossible to use for pre-ordering for pickup. If you contact them, expect attitude. Their burgers are done to the point of rubbery - your choices are "medium well or well done. Both dry out whatever it is to the point of needing a drink to get it down. No reason to go to this place. The two stars are for the staff. Food and corporate get minus stars. read more

Food was very good. I would come back. The fries are amazing, I tried buffalo, but I think in the future I will have cheese fries or plain, they were extremely salty. I tried the NY burger and it is amazing. Just try it, you will love it. What I did not like was the sassy attitude from the young workers. Ordered the smash classic last Sunday night and got food poisoning. Thought it would last a few days but no, my husband got the stomach flu afterwards and I suffered for A WEEK. The food was fantastic and the service was great, but what really compelled me to leave a review was the manager. He came to check on us, introduced himself, and even came back around later to remove our finished trays. He was so friendly and we were impressed that he partook in every position. On Friday June 12, 2020. Two NYPD minority police officers went to a Smashburger restaurant located in 193 West 237 Street Bronx NY 10463. As they waited their turn to be served, one of the officers needed to make an his face mask, as he did so, a server who goes by the name of Irene yelled out from behind the at the officer and said, if your going to that you have to leave the store. Immediately after she yelled at them the rest of the employees began to mock the officers and stare them down. The two officers feeling uncomfortable decided to leave the restaurant, as they were walking out the server (Irene, a Spanish woman) yelled out, DON'T GO OUT AND KILL ANYONE TODAY. Smashburger Corporate needs to review the incencetivity of their employees and implement a training process that keeps their employees impartial to the daily occurrences. Those Police officers are the same people who respond to their calls when they feel threatened, and the fact is that they are human beings like the rest of us. Ordered a basic chicken burger with Swiss, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce and mayo and it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was the thickness of jerky and tasted like it too. There was one slice of avocado on it and there was two of the smallest tomato slices ever!!! I was basically eating a multigrain bun with mayo and lettuce. For $10 I expect way more. read more

While the food was good, I feel compelled to give this Smashburger location a low rating due to its unsatisfactory customer service. I placed my order on-line and let me mention that the online ordering tool is really user friendly and quick! I submitted my pick-up time for 5pm and once it was complete, I got a confirmation with my order #. When I got to the store, I went straight to the order pick up area and told the agent I was picking up and gave him my order # and he just looked at me blankly and asked what is that. I explained I ordered on-line and that was my number and he said they didn't use order #s but he found my name in the system but that my order wasn't ready. When I said my pick up time was for 5pm, he said that the pickup time meant that was when they would start cooking the food! WHAT?! How does that make sense! But o.k. I patiently waited and in the meantime I could tell there was a lot of flux between the workers and the manager seemed somewhat over-whelmed and rushed. After some time, my order was ready but when I got home, I was missing an order of fries and 2 bottled sodas which they charged me for! At that point, I didn't feel like heading back out and dealing with the bad customer service so just cut my losses. So disappointing and upsetting! Hope they get better. read more

The burgers are good quality, nothing special, but they are tasty. The olive oil fries are some of the best I've had in my life. Highly recommend them. They lose 2 stars just because I wanted to order a malted milkshake but apparently they've been out since opening week (coming from one of their employees) , since management hasn't thought to re order them. I USED to love Smashburger, I haven't had any in a while but on Friday (Nov 3) I had a craving for a burger and shake. My husband warned me that a few week before he had stopped at this particular Smashburger and the meat was super salty. First, I wanted to sit in but they ran out of the identifying numbers for the table so I decided to take it to go. Second, after a bit of a wait, I was given the burger without the milk shake and then I had to wait for that to come. When I took a bite of the burger, I GAGGED due to the amount of SALT in it. I don't know if this is particular to this location but they need to do something about that immediately!!! I am not going back, I will stick to my local diner but they need to fix that for those who are super fan. read more

The service was very good the first burger we order was the black bean avacoda. Had trouble finding the avacoda was about to return it when we found a piece under the pickle when you order this you should not have to hunt for the avacoda ! The next burger I ordered was a big smash burger not very big was glade it was the bigger one.the tomatoes on it where green in the middle and hard,when you pay top price for a burger you would expect only the best toppings on it,not the less than desirable ones. Man! the image pictured here is nothing but mouth watering so I must get those signature smash sweet fires tossed in oil and herbs only to eat them and they're dry and disgusting.
