    DOUBLE BBQ BACON SMASH
    Ryan H.

I'll keep this short and to the point. I really wouldn't recommend this place unless you're in a pinch and are craving a burger. That's the exact situation I was in and I left feeling dissatisfied. When I first walked in, it was around lunch time and I was the only person in the restaurant. That should have been my first clue. When I went to the counter to order, they were out of multiple items, but I finally decided on the Double BBQ Bacon Smash burger with a side of fries and a drink. After getting my number I chose the cleanest table I could find (there weren't many), put my stuff down and got my drink. It wasn't a long wait for my food to come out which was nice since I was in a slight rush. After going to multiple tables to find a ketchup bottle that wasn't empty, it was time to eat! The fries were decent, though personally I think they could have been a little more crispy. They gave me stadium fry vibes if you know what I mean. The burger was pretty average in my opinion. It was very juicy but overall just lacked flavor and didn't have the crust that I expected to come from a smash style burger. I found the burger quality to fall somewhere between a cafeteria and a Red Robin burger. Overall the food was acceptable, but at $20 for this meal (not including tip), it's a hard sell. Lastly, the service was just not up to par. The workers seemed unhappy and generally in bad moods. The one worker was on their phone most of the time when it could have been better spent getting the front of the house in order. The workers were also complaining about another customer because they brought back their food that wasn't made how they asked. For me, this was my biggest pain point and I would love to see them do better.

Stopped in here yesterday for lunch. Hadn't been to a Smashburger in years. I ordered a regular cheese burger and large smash fry so my boyfriend and I could split them and he got a double burger (don't remember which one). Everything was good I was just surprised by the size of the large fries. I thought it would have been a larger portion then what we received.

We were able to dine in, all protocols are in place. The staff was very friendly. I was a bit confused about the Wawa like kiosk at the front though because it wasn't set up for you to order from but it did reveal your order on the screen as the lady put it in. My mom had the Truffle Mushroom Swiss. She said it was the best burger she's ever had in her whole life. This is coming from a person who routinely crafts her own burgers that in my family's opinion are perfect. My aunt had the Double Smoked Bacon Brisket. She too savored her burger. I had the Double Bacon Smash. Mine was delicious as well but after having it at 2pm in the afternoon I didn't want anything else to eat for the rest of the day. In fact I could have used a nap directly after. Next time I will opt for a single patty. Also, we shared a large Smash fry and it's definitely over priced and the fries were over cooked. Not worth it. Otherwise Smashburger is doing something right.

This was my first time at a Smashburger, and it was just ok. You walk in and place your order and they give you a number and they will bring your food out to you. The place was very clean and well kept. My reason for the 3 stars is that my burger was super greasy ( hubby said his wasn't). I did like you could create your own burger with your choice of cheese snd toppings, however premium toppings like bacon or avocado were extra. They did have a decent variety of fries and sides to accompany your burger. I ordered the garlic smashfries & they were delicious. I personally thought they were a little expensive for what you were getting. I really was not impressed and doubt I will be back.

Three stars because the food was good. No menu was displayed. The person that took our order said "it will take 12minutes to cook." Right away I should have walked out. No coke bottled drinks. I got my order of sweet potato fries and I hardly got any for what I Paid.

It's so good, which you can tell by all the delicious cheese melted on this baby. It smells scrumptious!!!

Finally tried this spot for burgers and sadly may have been the worst burger I have ever ordered. So dry.

And the ambiance is really nice -- fancy farm to table with plush seating and pillows. If you're going to get an appetizer, I would highly recommend getting the snack board to share (unfortunately this was eaten before I got to take photos). It includes delicious biscuits paired with the most perfect sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, fruit, croissant, warm donut holes, deviled eggs, and dips/jams. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. The gravy is jaw-dropping and perfect with the texture of the biscuit -- trust me, you have to try it!!! The donut holes are fluffy and soft fritters. I also really loved the deviled eggs' flavor. For my entree, I got the breakfast pot pie (in the photo) which had the same incredible gravy and biscuit crust as the appetizer, topped with a crispy fried egg. My sister had the Challah French Toast (peach compote) which was also incredible -- perfect without being too sweet. Both were huge portions. Service was also excellent -- our waitress very kindly brought out our toddler nieces' kids' meals first along with our appetizers. She even brought out a little sorbet on the house for my sister's birthday (which also was very very good!)

The people at the front gave off awkward vibes, ANd as for our server...she's domethin'. There was…read morea lot of snark and attitude detected, and we were a big party, which means she's automaticaly raking in 20% on a substantial bill. And we all got alcoholic drinks, and many with desserts. The Smoked Old Fahioned was very not good. It smelled nice, but tasted like cherry cough syrup. It was like smoked cherry cordial with a splash of well-shelf bourbon. It's probably not literally well-shelf... just an emphasis on how unpalatable this was and therefore expensive for what it is. I didnt pay $15+ for some cherry cordial. Waitress vocalized distaste when we wanted to spit checks - which we told her before placing orders. Then she gave sh** about seating arrangements; since we wanted to split checks she ordered us to sit by how checks are being split. That's a new one... She said she would have to write separate checks... an obvuous approach... I endorse that plan smh. Wouldn't that be easier when it comes to "splitting checks" when all is said and done? To treat us as separate tables but still tack on 20% per check? As we are wrapping up dinner and everyone else was looking over dessert, I told her she could bring mine now since I have a 45 min drive back to CC and I have perishables. People are now eating their dessert and she's still fussing aroundat her kiosk. I eventually approach her and asked for mine again. She got super frustrated and unprofessional, and said us wanting to split bills is (exact words) "tumultuous." Does she even know what that word means? "I thought you wrote separate checks?" But she's trying to figure out how to split like $8 rolls among like 12 people. She was like, "Then who is paying for the rolls?" That is her job to find out. I am a guest, not the host of the party. I only know three other people there. She walks to the table and says (again..exact words), "Who's paying for the rolls?" As if we are planning on dining and dashing with basic dinner rolls. Why? Because we are a table of minorities? Had we been a table of all white, would she have asked HOW we would like to have it split? I was in the dine-in food service industry for several years. I had thought splitting checks was a very common practice, and I absolutely did NOT ask patrons to sit in specific order. White Dog in UC didn't do that either (or anywhere else). Perhaps White Castle is more within her playing field. Some courses in sensitivity training may aid in her professional development. And they wanted to charge like $4 per person since someone baked cupcakes.... reminder that most people also ordered dessert on top of all this. They can go pound the sand.

Seriously, I've been up and down both coasts and never stopped in. So, about two weeks ago I fixed that oversight. I stopped in on a snowy weekend night not too much before closing. I liked that they were fast food-ish but with a more diverse set of options. I liked ordering at the kiosk since it was our first time. We had time to look at our options, check the ingredients, etc. I opted for the burger with the portabella mushroom. All three of us made it a meal. The food came out relatively quickly. We all liked our food. I thought they might start slacking with it being about a hour until they closed, but the food was good. The actual burger was the least exciting part of my sandwich. The portabella was done nicely and the grilled onions were good. The fries were excellently crunchy. The drink options were a nice change from the standard soda choices. I had the strawberry limeade. The others chose iced tea and Dr. P. The housemade ranch sauces were nice with the fries. We also tried the teriyaki - also good with the fries. The service was fast. The parking was convenient. The place was clean. The ambiance was modern but comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. It was a great experience. Not super fancy, but a notch above the major chains. I would definitely go back and try other options.
