Went here for a work Christmas party tonight. I wasn't sure I was going to throw an axe but everyone was so figured I'd try since it was included in our party price. Our food was brought in from outside and a small table held our food. They offer beverages which consist of small bottles of wine and alcohol ( think plane size!) and a cooler with cans and bottles of beers and party alcohol drinks. These are not included and were $12 for two beers. No cups or ice but you can bring your own I suppose. We had to sign waivers obviously as this can be a dangerous sport. I was sure to not be behind whoever was throwing!! They have axes of different sizes and ninja type stars. I tried them all and favored the stars. You have to keep your own scores which is tricky seeing the board at times but we had fun. Now for the cons. This place is super small and there is no seating so standing for the two hours we reserved was not the best. Also I thought there should be a chain mesh type barrier behind the throwers. Axes do bounce off the wall and if one were to lose their grip as they went back with one, yikes! All in all a fun experience. read more

First time doing axe throwing and it actually wasn't as scary as I thought! They train you about safety prior, as in they show you the proper form on how and where to throw. There are also three different sizes of axes, from small, medium and large. The size actually makes a difference in the precision of the throw. The computer was user friendly and had lots of different games and formats (like hitting zombies). So even someone who isn't athletically-inclined got some hits too. They have a lot of drink options as well, but we opted for sodas this time. Otherwise a very fun first experience! read more

So much fun was had. We initially reserved a lane for 30 minutes but the kids had so much fun that they wanted another 30 minutes. We got to throw axes but also got the ninja stars which just elevated the great time. We will definitely stop by the next time we are in Reno. read more

We had an absolute blast here! I loved that you can choose a target using the projector and change it as often as you like - that made things a lot more fun and interesting than other axe throwing places we've tried. I also liked the option to get knives and throwing stars - we had fun trying to figure that out because it's way harder than it seemed. We all had fun using the targets that are more interactive like battleship, but you can keep score each round, similar to bowling. The only issue is the maximum score is 10, so if you get more than that using the throwing stars there's no way to count it. However, for using only the axe or knife there are no scoring issues. The space inside is a bit small but there are a good amount of lanes - I would just book in advance to make sure there will be room for you! Would definitely recommend giving it a shot. read more

First time at Axe & Throw and at first it felt a little intimidating but once you get the hang of holding the axe it really is fun and we enjoyed ourselves. I was a little surprised that it wasn't a game area with a bar. They do have drinks but they are canned options you buy from the refrigerator. You can also buy small alcohol shot bottles but again no fresh cocktails. It's a smaller venue but we still had a good time but would have liked fresh draft and cocktail options. It's a little pricey considering the narrowness of the venue but the employees were nice guys. read more

The families that gave us Key & Code have created a new place for us to play at while visiting the Legends Outlets. I was recently invited to Axe & Throw's soft opening. Located in the heart of the outlets, is the area's newest axe throwing venue. There are eight well caged lanes that offer more than a dozen unique projector targets, not just marker circles on wood. In my hour I played the deer target and balloons. Next time back I want to try the intruder. Each lane is well marked, has a counter, and remote keyboard. The staff welcomed me immediately as I walked in. I was shown to the lanes and given a personal walk through of the lane, equipment, and safety training. I also received a brief throwing lesson. Then spent the next hour throwing. Boy, was it actually quite a work out. Throwing and retrieving the axe for an hour. Kids as young as ten can participate with an adult with them. Lanes can handle six, but 2 or 4 people is much better. They offer some limited drinks. Lanes can be reserved online or by calling in. Waivers must be filled out prior to entering the lane area. Those can also be done online or at the kiosks inside. Look forward to throwing leagues to come later in the year. One more great way to have fun with friends and family at Legends. read more

It was easy to set up, and we got through about 3 different games offered. The time flew by, and we had fun. It's not something we do often but once in a blue moon. Decent drink availability as well. nothing works here, the waviers didn't work, the code or their computers. the axes were dull and everything was super run down. 60$ later it wasn't fun like ax throwing in reno and I payed 8$ for a 1.50$ plastic bottle of wine. couldn't even get a plastic cup for it. also had to serve out selves. there were 3 other groups there at the same time and no one could get the axes to stick, the ax throwing places in reno give demos and tips before you start read more
