We came here as a family party. Originally, we were planning on going to Game Empire, but they closed at nine. This place closed at 1am, and due to another event we wouldn't be done till after 7pm. We called ahead to see if they had tables, but they unfortunately didn't. So we asked if we could bring our own, and they said sure! We bought some folding tables from Costco (and are planning on returning them tomorrow). In order to get there, we had to go up a flight of stairs and check in to reserve and pay for the room. There is what looks like at least four private rooms where you can camp out, with one restroom. It's a cool space if you need to game late at night.

We got it and it takes three pictures of you and we decided on an Avengers one. The picture turned out great, but when we printed it out, there was this big white vertical line down the right side. We brought it up to the lady behind the counter and she said she would get the IT guy. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to finally come around and he goes "It always does that" We expected a refund or something, but nothing. For $5 a picture, what a rip off. If it doesn't work "All the time" how about fixing it and putting an "Out of order" sign on it, so you don't waste $5 on a picture you can't use? Terrible customer service.

I decide to go to the counter to see if someone could either take a look at the game or if i could get the credits back. I look around some more and see one worker on the far left helping some customers and another worker on the far right helping some other people. Ok, I'm assuming there's two lines and the 3 or 4 other employees are just taking a break or something. Not a big deal, so i get in the line to the far right. There is one person currently being helped, two teens and then me. The employee finishes with the first customer and then helps the two teens. He finishes with them and when he gets to me he just turns and walks away. He does not say a word, just turns and walks away. A simple "I'll be back in a minute" or even just putting your hand up and saying "gimme a sec" would be totally fine. Instead, no communication, just walks away. I told the group of 3 or 4 people just standing there that I needed assistance and one of them went to refill my card. As i was waiting the guy who was serving the line on the far left came over and asked if I needed help. He was really friendly (he looked Asian or Mexican). Anyways, he's the only reason I'm giving that place two stars instead of one.

I've always passed by the…read moreRed Door Escape Room at the Fashion Valley mall and it looked unassuming from outside, so I never realized how big it was and how many events they host! For parking, I suggest parking by the JC Penny. After checking in on the first floor, the group takes an elevator down the basement where all the game rooms are located. After winding down a long hallway, we reached the Game Show Studio. There are cubbies available to place your belongings but we were able to bring our bags with us inside. We had a party of 11 and we divided into two groups. A group of 14 (to maybe 16) can fit in this room where each person has a buzzer. The experience lasted maybe 45 minutes and it was filled with interactive games. I had a great time because it was only our friend group inside. I'm not sure how it would be if there were other groups in there with you. Shoutout to our wonderful hosts Lyv and Shawn for making my first experience at a Game Show Studio memorable! Overall, this is a fun, wholesome activity to book with your friends and try once. I'm not sure if I'd do this exact game show again but I'm curious to try other events that Red Door offers!

We had 11 people in our group, and were lucky enough that nobody else booked the same slot, so we were able to compete amongst ourselves. There is an option to book for a private party though, if you want to ensure you aren't paired with any randos.  We played a variety of games such as Survey Showdown, Wheel of Wonder, Tic Tac Trivia, Name That Price, and High-Lo. Our hosts were super fun and engaging! Loved the buzzers, the big wheel, and all the lights and music, it almost felt as if we were actually on a game show. Some hiccups with the plinko chips getting stuck or falling out, but not really a huge deal. Winning and losing teams got to pose for pictures with a large and small trophy, respectively.  Overall, this was a fun experience and highly recommend for anyone who has always wanted to experience being on a game show, without the pressure on actually being on one that will be aired on TV! The option to book private parties makes this a great option for team-building excursions as well.

He told me nothing was scheduled after us so we could go as long as we wanted. So I thought we were all set. Well truck arrives on time but then there is parking and setting it up so that takes 15min or less. We play for 1.5hr and then he told me we needed to start rapping things up. Excuse me I thought we had the truck for as long as we wanted it? Nope he booked another job but would give me an extra 15 min, but with set up that washed out to be 2hr, so no real gain. I expected and was told we had it as long as we wanted. We probably would have played for 4 hr. The game selection was ok mostly teen or older so if you are looking at doing this for a birthday party ask your kids what games they want to play. Also if they have a game it can only be played on 1 tv, just keep that in mind for kids parties. Next the guy that operated the truck did not know how to get all of us playing on the games, if it was not for a few of our tech guys who know xbox well we may have been out of luck. As the driver had little experience with getting you going on some of the games. Overall we had fun, but were extremely disappointed with the service and booking problems. There was so much to do and see--the kids loved the children's games, the DJ kept the energy high, and the cultural dance performances were absolutely beautiful to watch. A highlight for us was the grasshopper tent, which was such a unique and delightful experience! ​The food was completely authentic and very reasonably priced. The only real downside was the wait times; the lines for the food vendors were incredibly long. I'd highly recommend the organizers or vendors look into speeding up the ordering/ordering-fulfillment process for next year. ​Overall, between the great music, gorgeous aesthetics, and rich culture, it was completely worth taking the family out. I went to the 4th annual Lao Food Festival here in Escondido and it was a bit of a letdown and I…read moredoubt I will return unless something changes. I bought a $20 ticket to sample the different vendors, however, this was a huge disappointment. I won't be doing this again. The 1:30pm and 3:30pm tickets were sold out, so I bought the 5:30pm tour. I showed up early around 3:30pm and my ticket was honored and I was given a paper passport to check out the food vendors. First stop I went to was to try out the sugar cane drink vendor, Happicanes, and they told me they ran out of samples. The lady behind me was also disappointed. I did end up buying a sugar cane drink as it was hot out and my total came close to $12. Most of the vendors here had very long lines and some gave you the samples as promised on the passport but each were all very tiny and it wasn't worth $20. And none of the food was mindblowing so that was a letdown. I went to Sue's Kitchen and their samples were visible from the pick up window but the woman working the window told me to get in the long line to wait for very small samples. I decided against it and after I got what I could, I just left the festival. Eight vendors promised 16 samples and I tried out 8 of them after waiting in long lines and none were anything I would go back for. But, I did figure out the mystery sample and it wad to try out grasshoppers and that was neat to try! Tasted pretty good! Anything roasted with sesame oil works! Overall, this festival wasn't what I expected and I doubt I will return. Long lines, and mediocre food definitly won't bring me back. But, it was cool to check it out.
