Really nice little renovated bowling alley! My fiancee played a quick game while I watched. Apparently it has changed a lot!! The lanes are nice, eating area is nice, screens are new, honestly everything looks pretty new. There are also spots for virtual sports and axe throwing which is super cool! There are about 60 lanes, which is nice and large. But there is still some construction going on in front and inside of the place. Overall this is one of the last bowling alleys in town, and I'm glad it's so nice. We will be back!! read more

We had the best time at Parkway Bowl for my birthday! They had just opened a new section and let us know they were still working out some of the kinks, but they were able to get us three lanes next to each other, which was perfect for our group. Heidi was our server and Donna was the manager helping take care of us, and they both went above and beyond. About halfway through, the air conditioning stopped working. They immediately came over, checked on us, and even offered to move us to three different lanes. We decided to stay because we were okay at the time, but even with it getting pretty warm, they were incredibly accommodating, kind, and attentive throughout the whole experience. Their customer service was truly exceptional. They made us feel taken care of and made my birthday feel extra special. We had such a great time and I really appreciated how much they cared about making sure we had a good experience. Thank you for helping make my birthday such a fun!! This place is just kind of a classic go to spot for the family, they have the boardwalk field with ticket games so you can cash in later, the pizza isn't bad at all!! They have go plenty of laws open, the cosmic bowling area and pool hall is currently under construction but it looks like it's going be a huge addition to the bowling alley. We had a blast here the other night. They have renovated the bowling alley and bar and it is really nice! We were in a group of 30 bowlers, and they put us in the private event room, which was nice. We had waiters that came and took our orders and brought us food and drinks. They were all SO nice and patient with our chaotic group. Jovon in particular was so kind, accommodating and made us laugh. Cool dude. I have to give all of the staff two "thumbs up" because we came in ridiculous outfits and the entire staff totally rolled with it, and were super supportive and encouraging of our ridiculousness. 30 of us ladies dressed up as a "1970s men's bowling league" and staff would walk by and say "gentlemen" and the guy at the counter was cracking jokes about whether we wanted men's or womens' shoe sizes. It was hilarious. I loved that they fully embraced our crazy. It makes me want to throw other parties here in the future, honestly, because we were treated so well. Customer service is essential! Stood in line for nearly seven minutes at the snack bar only to be told in a dismissive tone they were "busy" and not taking orders at that time. I asked what time I could return, and at first was told, "I don't know. Whenever we are done serving the pizza, 30 minutes," I asked why he could not let me know earlier, as I had been standing there a while. He shrugged me off, saying he was "busy". At this point, only 5 kids are in the pizza line. Also, no outside food allowed, and you can't order the food? Ridiculous! I will keep my money and not patronize a business that does not value their customers enough to treat them with professional courtesy. Put a sign on the counter or something so people know if you are accepting orders or not and people can move on. Problem solved! read more

If you haven't been to Parkway Bowl lately, you have to check it out. The renovations are still process but the new bar area, Social 619, is a great place to hang out. We took our son's teen friends for a birthday party. They loved the axe throwing! The golf simulator looks so fun too! Our server was friendly & attentive. We celebrated one of my friend's birthdays here and it wasn't the best experience to be honest. Although it's probably more due to the other patrons than the establishment itself. The group/lane next to us repeated would reprimand us for bowling at the same time as us as if it were an actual game even though we were on our lane only. They repeatedly told us we had to stay off the entire platform if they were on there bowling on their lane. I found it strange that they did that to us considering we paid for our own lane and it's by the hour... it definitely put a damper on things and we did feel quite harassed. read more

I've been coming to this bowling alley with my family and never had an issue till today. The wait list is long who can is expected and since there's no AC inside the building we decided to sit outside where we could feel the nice breeze on the bench outside while we wait. An older lady that works here came up to us and said if we could move somewhere else because she needed to smoke her cig on her break. We have our baby with us so of course we don't want her inhaling smoke. We asked if she could go somewhere else because the parking lot is huge she could easily walk further out and enjoy her smoke where it won't affect us. But she refused and said she's gonna smoke it there whether we move or not. We will no longer support this establishment after being treated like that as paying customers. She is kind, down to earth, has wonderful customer service and is very good with the children. Chloe is a life saver! It's just a classic bowling alley, one of the few left in the city and just a good time

Fun times with friends! Early morning on a Sunday right as they opened. Great pricing for lines with shoes included, there were a few hiccups with the bowling pins getting stuck and not returning our bowling balls but it was promptly resolved so didn't loose a lot of game time. We've been here before too for a birthday party in the private bowling lanes, many moons ago so not sure if that's still a thing but it was definitely a great way to celebrate and have fun at the same time. The only thing I wish was that their food place was open while the bowling lanes are open, however they do let you bring outside food in, so that's a plus! read more

Here for a get together with a group. Bowling alleys are a dying breed. The ones that are currently open in downtown area or other venues are smaller. This is an old fashioned gazillion lanes (exagged!) bowling alley. You rent shoes, you pay by the hour, get a ball you can carry and bowl Ok I think its good, there is still a decent place to have a bowling league but the last time I was in a bowling league was in my 30's purely for fun. Since this far out of my way, I might not come back until next year for another event. read more

I've been coming here for most of my life, and have visited several times since the renovations. While the new booths at the lanes are awesome, there are few not so great changes. Both the golf and axe throwing are EXTREMELY overpriced! This isn't the Gaslamp WTF LOL I met some friends this past Saturday at 6:30pm, we went to the bar area while we waited for our lanes. My friend and her husband ordered some appetizers and 2 drinks. His beer was poured immediately, but the bartender never started her cocktail. Bartender proceeded to take everyone else's order who was seated at the bar instead (6 people total). I ordered several minutes later and was given my beer immediately, my friends drink still not started. The couple next to us ordered much later than my friend, and they received their entire food order & mixed cocktails very soon after...but you guessed it, my friends cocktail STILL not started (over 30 minutes since order placed at this point). When I loudly asked my friend what she ordered, the bartender repeated her drink, but continues to not make it?! Once she finally does start, she's reading her note cards with that have the recipe. She then asks what food they ordered again, because she NEVER put the food order in when they placed it!! I get that there are new staff, but when it's a busy Saturday night, you should at the very least have your most experienced high volume bartenders working. Keep the newbies who haven't remembered your cocktail recipes, on the Monday-Thursday day shifts when it's slower until they have learned! People spend hundreds of dollars on a few hours of fun, just to have your service be complete shit, not a good look! read more

Holy effing SHIT! They have completely destroyed this place. Not only did they completely change the aesthetics of it which killed the nostalgia and completely took away the bowling alley feel, it's just kind of dim and very colorless and boring looking. And, they took out the little café and completely changed the food that they had before. The food was traditional " bowling alley" type food, nachos, hotdog, hamburgers, chili, cheese dogs, etc. now, the food is god-awful and they RIDICULOUSLY raised the prices!!! This was our first time back since all of the renovations, and when I ordered our food, I specifically asked the waitress if it was the same exact nachos that they had before, and she said yes! That's the ONLY reason I ordered two of them! If you've ever had their nachos there, you know that they are very basic regular small tray of standard nachos that you would expect at a bowling alley. Just chips and nacho cheese. I was under the impression that that's what I was getting because she said they were the same as the old ones they had before the construction, which come to find out was not true. So, when I received our nachos, they were two huge platters, covered in all sorts of things, sour cream, salsa, meat, and jalapeños. Had this lady NOT told me that nachos and the food was the same from before, I wouldn't have even ordered these! But since I was told that they were, I assumed that they would be around the same price as the old ones as well. Now, granted, I will admit that it's my fault for not checking the price of the nachos, but again in my defense, she told me they were the same ones as before, so I think it's reasonable to assume that they're probably gonna be around the same price as the old ones. I sure as hell didn't think they were gonna be $16 DOLLARS! I was expecting to pay about $14 for two nachos, but instead spent $32 dollars on two nachos. I'm sorry, but that's a bit much for some nachos. So you can imagine the surprise when I got my bill and it was SIXTY FREAKING DOLLARS. The pitcher of beer was $23 which is totally reasonable, so I get that, But SIXTEEN dollars for nachos? Thats a COMPLETE rip off! Especially since they changed them too. They were disgusting. The worst nachos I've ever had in my whole entire life. Literally. And I'm not just saying that because of the horrible experience I had here, I mean that. The cheese was lumpy, and disgusting! Just plain weird tasting too! Very weird cheese. And the chips were hard and tasted kind of burnt too! They've also hiked their food prices through the roof! I have no idea why they would do this. Places always fix things that aren't broken and I just don't get it. What was so wrong with the food they served before that they would change it into this gross weird stuff that they serve now? I was honestly just really taken back by the whole entire experience all the way down from the waitress giving me complete wrong information, down to the utter shock when I saw my bill, that I just didn't say anything I just left kind of in disbelief, I was baffled the whole way home I couldn't believe I had just spent $40 short of one hundred dollars on a pitcher of beer and some hideous nachos, and I realize that I should have spoken up while I was there, but I just was kind of baffled so I just drove home. So, that's my fault for not saying anything yesterday when I was there, but I just couldn't stop thinking about how horrible this experience was and how much money I had just blown there that I called today to see if there was anything they could do. I explained to them everything, told them that yes it was my fault that I didn't say something yesterday, but asked if there was any way they could give me some type of refund not only for the nachos being really awful, but for their waitress telling me that I was going to be getting the same ones as they had before, just the whole entire misunderstanding and misinformation that I received, and that $32 dollars is just a crazy amount of money to pay for two nachos, and the guy on the phone agreed and then he said he would be back to check something, put me on hold, then came back and told me basically all we can do is maybe offer you a little discount on a bowling game the next time you come here to bowl. But they would not refund me any money for the misinformation given to me from their waitress and for the overall poor experience. This place has unfortunately turned into some old people's hang out. That whole new restaurant just gives it a very different feel. The nostalgia from the bowling alley feel is just gone. Needless to say, won't be returning here. read more

A very basic bowling alley. Good for the price, there are over 40 lanes, so most likely no need for a reservation. We went with a group of 7 got one lane and it was a little under 15$ per person including shoes for 2 hrs of bowling. We did a game and a half. Parkway is nothing spectacular, but when you are in the mood for bowling it is great! Overall a good experience. read more

Fun old school bowling alley! Looks vintage. Fun to come bowling here. They have good prices on weekdays before 5pm: $4.25 a game. Shoes are $5 to rent. Good place to come bowling. I have come here a couple of times and it is a lot of fun. They have a bar. They also have a cafe which has good food. Arguably one of the best chili cheese fries I have had in a bowling alley. They have basics like burgers, chicken tenders and nachos. The bowling is fun. There seems to be alot of teams that come in. Place is clean. Vintage old gives off grandmas bowling alley. Pretty big spot with lots of parking outside. They have a smaller newer spot at the end in a separate room. I prefer the older bowling area because the new one is like stuffy hot and it seems like it is angled badly. I kept getting gutters in the new room. The new room does look nice. I love this place. My kiddos are part of a homeschool charter and they had a field trip here and they loved every bit of it. The staff were friendly, patient, and accommodating with all the kids who needed their shoe sizes. The establishment is clean and even the bathrooms were decent. I love that they have an arcade next to it but this is the places where kids and adults alike can come have fun and unwind. Definitely recommend and will return. Rented a lane for an hour with my family and tried to order food, the staff said they would send a server but never did. I went and asked the staff again if I could order food after about 20 minutes and again they told me they would send someone. The server finally came after 40 minutes, and took our order. They brought out the food with about five minutes left on the game. We started eating and my wife went to the restroom. Immediately after the time ended someone came and asked me to vacate the lane because there was people waiting (there was multiple lanes that were empty and had been for a while). I responded I would and that I was just waiting for my wife. He then went and got who I assume was the manager, and he came and rudely asked me to leave. I explained again that my wife was in the restroom and I had 3 kids and we had a table full of uneaten food and drinks so I would wait a couple minutes for her to return so we could get our stuff and leave. He said I needed to move now or he would call security. I told him I just needed a couple of minutes but he refused he called security and an armed security guard came and told me I had to leave. I once again explained the situation and he replied "not my problem you can wait over there". He then proceeded to take our food and drinks that I had already paid for. Made a scene in front of everyone. We went looking to have fun with our kids but ended up getting embarrassed. We were planning on going to the arcade and spending the rest of the night there but after this incident we left. I went to parkway with my family to have a fun night of bowling. My lane literally broke and the employees told me we are sorry and will give you extended time and made us switch lanes. Then Dona Lamb, the other employee came to our lane and said actually we're not giving you extra time and was being so rude and disrespectful. She seems like she hates her job and was taking it out on us. We were confused and shocked at why she was being so rude. She even randomly shut our lane off 2 minutes early for no reason and said "oh well you only had 1 minute left". One of my favorite bowling alley, because it has the retro/ vintage feel. There a whole room dedicated to Billiards if I feel like playing pool. It also have a boardwalk attached for kids to enjoy arcade games, rides, laser tag and food. It has a lot to do in facility. I usually come bowling here once a week with my friend on a weekday morning. The prices per hour is unbeatable on the weekday mornings. I bring my own gears so I don't ever pay for shoes. Shoe rental is around 5$. All the staff here are really helpful and they are attentive when my lanes need help to reset. Lanes are always nice and oily. read more
