Fun event for our Young Adult Ministry We had reservations for two spins on the tracks with the second one being the final race. We were a group of nine racing and myself as a spectator. We ordered pizzas, wings, sodas, and I added some tots. After the races, the food was set up in one of their rooms. The food was good bar food. We played some games. We shot pool. Overall fun experience and it went smoothly and the staff were very nice and accommodating. I did like having a break between the two spins around the track. This was our first time coming here with my husband and our kids, and overall it was a really fun experience. We originally wanted to all drive together, but were told that adults and kids can't drive at the same time since the cars are different sizes and it's for safety reasons--which is completely understandable. Because of that, my kids were the only ones who rode this time. It's also important to know that it's not based on age, but on height when determining who can drive, which I thought was helpful. The staff did a great job explaining everything, especially the flags and what they mean, which made us feel comfortable right away. We went during the week, and it wasn't crowded at all, so my kids actually had the track to themselves, which made it even more special. One thing we really loved was that they received a printout of their lap times. It made the experience feel more personal and something they could take pride in. They also got to choose a head wrap in their favorite color and keep it, which was a nice touch. The only downside is that you have to purchase a membership in addition to paying for the laps. However, the membership is valid for a year and can be used at this location or other locations, which helps justify the cost. Overall, it was a great experience, and my kids had a blast! read more

We had a blast for a team building event with my coworkers. We each did 2 races, spaced out by about 20 minutes. The course was filled with fun turns which made it feel like I was drifting! Inside they have a bar, some food, a huge area for lounging, and a little outdoor section that looks like it can be reserved for an event. My daughter's birthday party was almost two weeks ago and the kids haven't stopped talking about how much fun they had! This place has it all -- go kart racing; thrill park with inflatable bumper human hamster balls, zip line, warped wall, wipeout trampoline, and foam pit; ropes course; and arcade. We booked a private party room for a couple hours but we ended up staying at Speed Circuit almost 5 hours! The birthday party package options are great! We booked 2 races with thrill park and some parents also bought arcade cards. Don't do a party here! Absolutely ridiculous! I scheduled the party a week in advance. Confirmed numerous times, the day of the party the food was not ready. 10 kids, 7 adults, waited over 30 minutes for the food that was supposed to be ready after the last race. When I asked the General Manager about it, his response was "I have no answer for you". I asked if they could get something out and he said "no, they are in the oven". DO NOT DO A PARTY HERE if you want any reliability or responsibility on the party of K1. Will not waste my time on this again. ETA: the GM did take some of the extra food off our bill so that was nice. read more

Came here for my niece's 11th birthday party with about a dozen of her friends and their parents. This venue is split into threes distinct areas: go-kart race track, arcade and physical activity play area. Few photos this time as I was helping to keep my kids and my nephews safe during the event. Our party package included: a dedicated party room, a dedicated race just for core party attendees (kids in this case), seemingly unlimited use of the physical equipment area and designated time with the obstacle course spanning the area above the arcade. The dedicated party room is located in the back of the arcade, which has some simple decorations that we can add to ourselves. It served a perfect "home base" for our party. Actually getting a clear designated race time for our party tweens was a pain. There was a lack proper communication between the staff managing the track and the front desk back at the arcade. I imagine it should have been that the track will notify us in the arcade area like they did with other race groups but it seemed awkward to get our party in the busy queue for some reason. They post that riders need to be at least 48" to drive these go-karts. My youngest is 49" but could barely push touch the pedals so you actually need to be a bit taller to drive. It was a good thing I planned to drive to ensure she could ride with me. They provide a thin head sock to wear under the helmets provided. I brought beanies to wear instead , which offered thicker padding and guaranteed cleanliness. We had some kart issues and had to exit the vehicle and switch karts mid-way after they stopped all other go-karts in our race group. I appreciate the safety measures but the exit instructions were not very clear to me. Perhaps I misunderstood due to the safety helmet obscuring my hearing. The ventilation for this indoor track is poor in my opinion. Even with the doors open the smell of gasoline fumes is fierce so you should likely only be in this area for the short while you are racing or watching a race. Overall, the go-kart race was a fun experience to enjoy together with our party group. The physical activity area was next. They have multiple equipment options: a spinning eliminator (like the Wipeout tv show), a trampoline area with three giant inflatable balls you can climb into, a vertical wall (like in Ninja Warrior), a zip line swing, and fabric swings for aerials. There's even a small dedicated are for toddlers to climb and play. The kids spent hours playing in and out of the inflatable balls and taking turns on the zip line swing. A few managed to traverse the vertical wall and slide down the adjacent fireman's pole. This area needed more staff attending honestly because only one supervised attraction could be open at at time. Thankfully most of them didn't need supervision. After a quick song and cake break, the kids queued up to try the obstacle course that overlooks the arcade. It literally spans the space right above the arcade! My eldest was the only one brave enough to try between my kids, but she convinced me to pair up with her for extra encouragement. I'm not one for heights but far be it for me to give my daughters' any feeling of limitations right? The staff were chill. A bit too chill. We had to peel employees away from the front desk and their chitchat to get assistance multiple times. I'm fairness, the staff were polite, just not dedicated. Seems like the fault of minimal manager oversight. As with most venues, there should be at least one dedicated employee to ensure big spenders (party sponsors) and their attendees are well taken care of. In the end the tweens all seems to enjoy and that alone makes this a good experience. Just a few improvements needs to make this a great experience that more parents will rave about and book for their next event. read more

K1 offers a birthday race for racers! If I could improve anything at K1 it would be the wait time. We had to wait an hour for the first race and another 20 minutes for the second race. I went to their website and completed the event request form and received a response that someone would contact me from the sales team. That was over a week ago and I've heard nothing. I'd been to this place years ago with some friends, and went again recently with my son since he's now tall enough to ride with me (42 inches). My son had a blast riding next to me, and the pricing is actually not bad, especially if you purchase one of their packages. A couple of complaints, my son's helmet was too big on him, so it was noticeably loose. Also, the smell inside is a bit strong, especially for younger kids , maybe more fans or open doors? One of the workers informed me that K1 recently purchased the track, and was taking over as of September 30th. Hopefully they'll bring some upgrades. read more

Dare I say... Speed Circuit definitely gives Skyzone/Jump-Around a run for their money! I honestly thought this place was strictly go-karting, but it offers so much more than that. In addition to indoor go-karts, Speed Circuit also has a "thrill room," which is basically a mini Skyzone, arcade games, and a balancing obstacle course which holds you on a harness. I've been here a few times just to bring the kids plus recently just had a party. And have always has a positive experience however after witnessing how they handle erratic, aggressive, young go kart drivers. I will not be returning to this location. WATCH your children when they are racing because the staff is not!!! I recently visited with my 3 children. There were 2 extremely barbaric, erratic teenage drivers, that were in our races. They were racing aggressively, continuously bumping, intruding in other's space. They bump my 12 year old twins and myself multiple times. So I started swerving so they could no longer pass me and began driving defensively. The teens were behaving so poorly that at one point during the race, 2 of the employees STOPPED the race, held up the stop signs, to have a talk with them. Yet they were allowed to continue racing. Outrageous. This is supposed to be a family friendly establishment. Even when my children and I were done with our races, they were permitted to continue with the 2 additional races. The staff did nothing! You have no consideration nor regard for the safety of your patrons!!! I will not be returning as my daughter no longer wants to race alone, as she does not feel safe. I immediately notified the staff, whom stated that have spoken to this specific gentlemen previously!!!! Ridiculous. We will not be returning... maybe a different location but absolutely not the Eastlake location. read more

Bought 2 races for me plus 1. First race got 7 laps in and the cart broke down. Completed stopped would not turn on. The track attendant told me it was because I was pressing both. They tried to restart 3 times and the cart not would.. The whole deal took 10 minutes. Once they had replaced it with a whole new cart we completed the race. The 2nd race my friends wheel lower control arm broke off and was folded in. They could not turn left at all. They stopped again for 15 minutes and replaced with a new cart. Again added a lap and continued on. Asked them after the fact if there was anything they could do and they said no. Still a fun time but rough time with equipment. Just go to the downtown K1 they always have it set up well read more

Just had my daughters 10th birthday here and cannot say enough good things about it. Deanna who helped coordinate the event via text was so accommodating and answered all my questions. (From the party room rental, to the different activity packages.)The staff on site as well were very helpful every time I needed more items for the room, or if I wanted to add on activities. We were only supposed to be there from 3-6 but ended up staying a couple more hours because the kids were having so much fun! Highly recommend! read more

We got here early before the rush and it was very nice, the thrill park is so much fun. My 12 year old son loved the sky walk and once we raced it was all he talked about. The only think I am sad about is we live in Los Angeles and it was only for a visit. I did buy three races and it was nice to feel we did not have to use them all. So we got to come back the next day. I will say that since my 12 year was new to all this he was not really sure how to operate the car so a introduction for the kids would be helpful. From attending a party here, I enjoyed it The arcade is a nice little distraction for the kids. They also have an obstacle course area where they're able to jump around. A post review after my 1st visit and after talking to the owner of this location. The staff was ready and attentive to our questions. As soon as we walked in, they were prepared with our racing information and directed us to the track. The staff member was clear and direct on the rules of the track. He helped us with the sizing of our helmets and in less than 15 min I was sitting on the track waiting for the green light. Overall, I enjoyed our experience and trying to plan more events with the same group of friends. The owner was grateful enough to welcome us back and it was worth it. read more

I've been to the San Diego (Downtown/Logan) track and I recently went to Chula Vista this weekend and man what a difference! The employees at the Chula Vista vs San Diego are so inexperienced (Maybe because they're teenagers). I went by myself and was added into a group race with around 8+ teenagers, yes I was asked and I had no problem with it because I thought the rules/flags were going to be enforced... Boy was I wrong. I spun out multiple times due to the teenagers bumping and not letting pass and not once were the flags shown. I was literally behind a person the whole time and not once was the "Let pass flag shown to them or were they at least forced to slowed down to let pass which is something they take serious at the San Diego location. The first race I started in p1 and not once was I passed UNTIL I lapped (caught up to) the person in last place. This girl would not let me pass and she was doing it on purpose because she kept looking back and cutting me off when I tried to pass her which caused me to spin out... not once did they tell her anything. The 2nd race I started in last place behind the same girl and this time I was not going to let her bully me so I made her spin out when she tried cutting me off when I cut the corner to overtake her. Of course, I passed everyone and reached p1 and again I eventually lapped & caught up to the same girl. Again I did not see anyone tell her to let pass... I was on her tail for a while, two laps and not once did they force her to slow down and let pass. This is where I tried to pass her again and she cut me off and caused me to get hit behind and spin out... my sorry for the long rant but I wanted to give some context. My Complaint is mainly the fact that the employees either don't know what they are doing or just don't care to be fully immersed in the race/racers they are supposed to be watching. Will not be returning to this location. The San Diego location has a manager that is a car enthusiast maybe that's why they care about the race experience there. read more

Went for the first time yesterday Employees were all friendly, informative, and helpful. It was about an hour before our race time so we walked around a little bit. Little arcade area with some games They have a play area for little ones, and a bigger area for bigger kids. My kids had tons of fun. When it came time to our racetime we made our way to the briefing area where they helped us with our helmets and assigned us our Go-Karts.
