From start to finish, this is the best dental office. You're greeted with such a professional and excited presence you can tell the staff love working there. It's a family business so that's not common practices in todays world, but the care and consideration that went into my treatment is incomparable to any dentist I've been too and I've been to a lot. I came to this office with no hope left, not a smile to give anyone, and truly not high expectations, time and time again I've found myself feeling that this was the only dentist that I'd ever want to go to. I had my teeth done here a few years ago and since then the workmanship and the quality of work that was done was a miracle. My more or less genetic problems of my teeth I've dealt with my entire life, and every time I've picked up the phone to consult with someone or ask for advice on course of actions to take for my treatment plan they're on top of it. They made me feel like their top priority when I called was me, first in line, what can we help with, how can we get you feeling better, let's get it taken care of for you. How there's any bad reviews on here is beyond me but you can't please everyone and yelp is a place to come and complain, the people that work here and run this place don't even begin to get the credit they so much so deserve. 0 Star Review - Absolutely Disappointed and Betrayed I wish I could write a positive review, but after my experience, I feel deeply compelled to share my story and warn others. I drove over 32 hours with my 2-year-old, believing I was going to receive the dental treatment I had dreamed of for years. I had heard such glowing testimonials on Instagram, and I trusted that I would receive not just good care, but a humane and ethical approach to something so important. Sadly, from the moment I completed my treatment on July 4th, everything went horribly wrong. I have not stopped crying ever since. My pain, both physical and emotional, has been overwhelming. Here's what went wrong: Lack of Personal Care and Communication Dr. Kenny was never the one performing the procedures on me. Instead, other staff members did the work while he would only come in occasionally to "check" the progress. I felt like I was a test subject, with him merely analyzing whether things "looked good" and giving vague comments like "Do it like this next time" or "You did it quickly this time." I paid for a professional service, not to be treated like an experiment. Aesthetic Problems The crowns are misaligned. The central teeth are not symmetrical, and the shapes of the crowns are noticeably different from side to side. The harmony of my smile is completely destroyed. Bite Issues My bite is completely off. I can only chew with two back teeth, and this has caused severe jaw pain, making me dependent on medication. False Promises and Rushed Procedures I was told Dr. Kenny would be my treating doctor, but this was not the case. I was rushed through the procedures and felt like I was bothering them, even though I made a significant effort to be there. Missing Crown and No Follow-up I paid for 10 crowns but only received 9. When I pointed this out, Dr. Kenny admitted to the mistake but offered no real solution--just a promise of a refund for the missing crown. However, he never followed through. I never received the money, nor did he respond to any of my attempts at communication. Disrespectful Attitude When I voiced my concerns about the gaps and misalignment, the response was, "It is what it is, I'm not going to change anything." That statement alone left me feeling disrespected and discarded. Poor Craftsmanship One of my teeth ended up being squared off, much smaller than the others, and looked completely disproportionate. It was as if no care or attention was given to how natural teeth should look. Today, instead of having the beautiful smile I had longed for, I am left with pain, frustration, and embarrassment. I feel like I've been taken advantage of, and now I'm forced to seek another professional to fix what was done, even though I can't afford it due to the debts I incurred for this treatment. If I don't receive a satisfactory resolution, I'll be forced to pursue legal action. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am heartbroken that what was supposed to be a life-changing experience turned into an emotional and financial burden. RUN FROM THIS MAN. This place should be called NEVER SMILE AGAIN dental because that's what he's done to me & many others. I hope this protects others from the nightmare I've experienced with this man's "care." Kenny Wilstead (I refuse to call him doctor) ruined my life. I have 13 root canals because of his work & didn't have that when I wen't to him. I had a crossbite that I communicated to him before & he told me he could fix that. Crossbites CAN'T be fixed with crowns it's against the standard of care. IT'S A JAW/BONE ISSUE. I asked for veneers, he convinced me of crowns & that he could fix my bite. He said it would last 20 years but clearly hasn't. Not once did he refer me for surgery or orthodontics, which I would have wanted to do & IS the only thing that can fix crossbites. When he did my teeth my lip blew up & his daughter called her dad in front of me saying "it was bad the worst she'd seen." He said "he would come when he wanted to" but I had a scheduled appointment..when he got there to "fix" my bite he was frustrated that he had to fix it. No one wants a frustrated dentist working on them. I was in pain after he did my work & told him. He called me in the middle of the night & told me it was normal to be in pain & sometimes it could take weeks/months to heal with all my mouth has been through. To just take Tylenol. The sensitivity to food, biting, & hot/cold is unbearable. This was a dream moment for me that I've waited for my whole life but everything felt off. People told me they could see my teeth through my crowns & anytime a dentist saw me they were mortified that this was done to me. Every dentist has told me I should have never been touched by him & it was against the standard of care. I, as a patient, wanted the standard of care for my dream moment. I never communicated I didn't want braces/surgery nor was it given as an option. I wish it was an option. He'll tell you "patients don't want to go through braces or surgeries anymore" but the truth is MANY of us were lied to & not communicated to about the standard of care. MANY of us wanted these things. MANY of us were told something could be fixed this way when in reality, it made us sick. He acts like he's God & tells you he can do anything. This man is a butcher. He is NO doctor & never deserved a dental license. He has COUNTLESS patients sick right now. Many are stuck paying $1000's more to fix what he broke & struggling to afford it. His dentistry is cheap because he cuts corners & it's not functional longterm or done correctly. Please do not let any of his daughters or staff shave your teeth down. It is against the law if they aren't a dentist. I wouldn't even let this man shave your teeth down. Dentists around the world have given free care to his patients that's how bad his dental care is known to be. This was my absolute dream & I thought I was going to the best. He isn't the best, he's the WORST. Doing this in one day is insane. I cry everyday because of this man. This took my life away, drowned me in debt, & put me in the darkest place. I'm facing potentially having my teeth removed & it's unaffordable. I'm still in pain. Patients have had to have their teeth removed because of his negligent care. A REAL dentist that cares about you wouldn't do this/convince you of this knowing the aftermath. This fast-tracks you to implants & dentures. He left open margins & spacing on my smile. My mouth is dry. A real dentist cares about your longterm health. Please look Dr Kenny smiles up on social media. There are stories of other victims. Please protect yourself from this man. He does not care about the lives he's ruined as he continues to due so daily. Dentists take an oath to do no harm, yet he does it daily. Look up his license. Social media is fake. Everything you see on his account is FAKE. He has left 100's in immense pain without a care in the world. He does not follow the standard of care dentists are taught in dental school! If you're a woman don't come here alone! RUN! There is nothing like your real teeth. It feels like you're wearing a mouthguard 24/7. Do not listen to him when he says it feels like your natural teeth. I spend my nights tossing/turning/crying awake all night. Do not listen to him. This man gets off on shaving people's teeth down. He tells you "you have to lose something, to gain something" He tells you that "he is the reason you're pretty." He is a sick man. This should only be done if medically necessary. Dentist are supposed to save teeth. I would give anything in the world to have my real smile back. I would sell my soul to the devil & do the most unthinkable things that is how much this has taken my life away. I will grieve & cry over this the rest of my life. Crowns fail. Dentures fail. BUYER BEWARE: If you are a woman do not come here alone. Bring someone you trust. If someone you love is coming here do not let them come alone. When you arrive do not make a payment until all your teeth have been examined and you understand what is wrong with every tooth in your mouth and WHY each one needs to be crowned. Make sure you receive a treatment plan with the cost for your entire procedure before paying them. Ask what are your alternatives to crowns that are less damaging and provide the same results. Understand what your options are AFTER a crown fails. Educate yourself and research providers that are local to you. Research "Kenneth Wilstead" "Kenny Smiles" on any social media platform you have. Saw dr Kenny on instagram and all the amazing transformations he performed!! I followed his page for quite some time before I finally took the leap to put a $2400 deposit (required to book appt) ... about a week before my appt the algorithm on TikTok caught up with me, and I started seeing horrific accusations of not only verbal but sexual inappropriateness by the dentist after bringing it to the offices attention after doing my own research and finding court documents, I decided to cancel my appointment and my flight and hotel, but the dental office refused to refund my deposit even with my newfound allegations that they did not disclose to me prior. Then they try to lie and say my appointment was not even with Dr Kenny, which had already been previously confirmed, not only through text but also via Instagram. It's appalling that upon finding out about these types of allegations and me being willing to travel out of state that this office wouldn't be more respectful and responsible and refunding a deposit, knowing these circumstances, and I'm assuming that this is how they make the majority of their money, absolutely disgusted, and make sure you do your research on this office. Couldn't ask for a better and staff! Dentist have always been scary to me, especially after having one (in Indiana) literally sit on top of me to remove a wisdom tooth. he wasn't a small man either. Flew all the way from california to get the expertise work done of Dr Kenny , Dr Dave and Tom . The desk girls are truly kind and accommodating. The dental assistants are top notch , kind and gentle as well . The Doctors go above and beyond and want nothing but their patients to leave completely happy . Dr Kenny's wife , and two daughters work there making it feel like a true family friendly atmosphere with lotsa smiles and laughs . I am a pretty nervous patient and the kindness and patience I was shown there , made me feel very comfortable. Highly recommend!!! I am terrified of the dentist, I postponed this appointment because of the fear of needles and any sort of dental work. I got done a root canal, fills, a cleaning and whitening. The staff was outstanding! My procedures were PAINLESS & as soon as I left the office my prescriptions had already been sent to the pharmacy so I was able to immediately pick them up. I had been in touch with his office numerous times and discussed my situation, only to get there, an hour and a half away from home, to be turned away. No help, no options, other than lots of money. I reached out there to Dr. Wilstead after watching him change people lives on instagram. I Looked at his non profit organization which seemed awesome and caring of those who were in need. Watched others reach out to him for help, only to be met with a message from the Dr. himself telling me, and I quote... " I choose from those who come in to see me. With intentions to fix their teeth and pay for it. Then I can help whenever I choose when I see that effort made". I made an effort. I love pit of state from where his office is, I called sent pictures of my teeth breaking a comfort zone to do so because I'm so ashamed of what I look like ... I never once said I couldn't pay something, I just needed help and couldn't afford a lot. I have suffered and searched and searched for over 15 years to get help. So my effort is there. I have fought all my life with bad teeth due to genetic. I'm at rock bottom only to be kicked when I'm down because apparently he only helps those who don't need it and makes TikTok videos strictly for clout and not for the wellbeing of people as he claims! We are human, we are people and if you're not going to use your non profit the way your mission statement reads, you shouldn't have a non profit!
