However at the end, I was impressed by their professionalism through the extra steps that they took to keep me comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. She went above and beyond to check my blood pressure, ensured I was fully numbed (with topical and the cold test), and informed me through each step. She used a high volume suction block to make sure the amalgams were safely removed. I trusted her assessment and treatment for all my dental needs (no upsell that I have experienced from other dental practices). Let me preface this review by stating that I am a long time patient of Dr. Chui; so, needless-to-say, I am a fan. Even when I was posted overseas with dental support, I maintained my relationship with her. It is difficult to find a rationalization for the experience that I had at this dental clinic. I drop in and ask for a cleaning and receive a very polite welcome. However, for some reason they communicate that they have no appointments available for several weeks. Considering I am in no rush and simply getting a gauge for the neighborhood, I accept. The secretary at the front desk seems to be having a spasmoidal(TM) attack of Invisible Hand Disease. The dental assistant seems to be more of a protege of the Marquis de Sade rather than Hippocrates. She states that she needs 18 X-rays with a very uncomfortable contraption and then takes the same picture 4 times! And no, they were not different angles. By the time the actual cleaning comes along, the dentist and her assistant have apparently remembered their training from the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors. They grabbed my lips in disrespectful ways, made poking motions constantly and generally insulted the very institution of dentistry itself by not promoting healing in favor of attacking a mouth. My mind revolves around a few options for explaining this phenomenon. Perhaps it was like the Matrix and Agent Johnson chose to possess everyone. Perhaps they were told that Tomas de Torquemada and Katherine Knight had a hate child who had evil plans and needed to be humiliated. Unfortunately, it wasn't me. I've been dealing with my cavities for my whole life. I thought my old dentist was the best and whom I could rely on until I see Dr. Tsui. She found some cavities and fixed it, and some of them were deep inside the old amalgam fillings, there's no gap in between where food could go in. After knowing the fact, I figured why I had to see my old dentist so often, basically 3-4 fillings every couple months. Dr. Tsui went through the procedure so gently, unlike other dentists. I must say I get nervous easily and afraid of pain, but I didn't get any pain or discomfort at all! Highly recommend her to everybody! read more

I was a patient of Dr. Tsui for about a year. she did some crowns for me and took 3 wisdom teeth out. The crowns she installed have open edges, which means that there is room for tooth decay, all of the 3 crowns she did have to be re-done. I visited to let her know that when I floss I always bleed and that the floss sometimes breaks or tangles with something, she took r-rays and said she didn't see anything abnormal. However, after I visited my new dentist and she explained what was wrong using her r-rays, it was very clear what was going on. I paid over $3000 dollars, out of pocket, for these 3 crowns, as I didn't have insurance at the time. Now after I visited a new dentist and find out about the horrible work she did, and I will have to repay for crowns!!! She also removed my wisdom teeth and after she did this procedure I stopped going to her office because it was a very traumatic visit. She cut the gum on all 4 sides. she removed the two upper wisdom teeth with not problem but when she tried to removed the lower wisdom tooth she couldn't do it. She try breaking the tooth, making more cuts, and requested help from two other dentist assistants, who where trying to calm me down as the pain was unbearable. After about 2 hours into this and when she was finally able to extract one lower wisdom tooth, she told me she couldn't extract the last one, she had to re-stitched my gums. She had no clue what she was doing and was so nervous that she couldn't control her hand from shaking. My face was swollen for about a week and brushed for two weeks. I will NEVER recommend her as a dentist. read more

Also, she cracked my teeth during a filling and I been in pain for more than 2 years because of her. She said she is not responsible for it. read more

I've been coming here for years. Dr. Tsui and her staff are wonderful. The spa like environment is relaxing and Dr.Tsui and her assistants always tell you what they are doing to you during a procedure. They also offer you the option to watch movies during your procedure if you like. I like the fact Dr Tsui and her staff work with you and let you know how much money you have left on your insurance. If you come in December and you are out of funds and it could wait til January for a cert as in procedure, they will schedule you for the next fiscal year. I also like the fact that there is 3D printing of our crowns as we wait so we don't have to make a separate trip back to the office.. I like Smile Creations so much that i fly out to see them at least twice a year. My husband and I live in the DC area but prefer the professionalism and expertise at Smile Creations. We tried few dentist in Northern Virginia but were not happy. Dr. Tsui and her staff are awesome. read more
