I can honestly say that my main reason for loving this facility is knowing that I will not experience much discomfort when having my teeth cleaned and examined. The office is a very pleasant and clean facility. The support staff has always been helpful. And both Doctor Silberman and Dr. Barakh are very caring, friendly, and offer very helpful advice. I experienced a very painful problem with food lodged between my teeth and they saw me through Covid, I am so grateful for that as I was in a lot of pain.

This was my first dental visit in years and I know that my teeth aren't good. I have lots of cavities and probably need root canals. However dental work is not cheap, especially if you dont have insurance. After paying for 2 sets of xrays. He came in and sat down shaking his head. He stated that "I had alot of cavities, BIG cavites and that I needed to do better taking care of my mouth." That I was, "too young to have a mouth like this." He then said I needed a root canal for my broken molar and asked if I wanted to do that today. As he was talking to me his dental assistant was staring at me around the corner in awe, like I had the worst mouth they'd ever seen. They made me feel sooo ashamed of my mouth. So I decided to go back recently when I was financially able to pay for these services. I scheduled an apt for a cleaning. When I arrived, I had to fill out paperwork to update my file, no problem. When Dr. Watstein arrived he asked me what are you here for today. I told him I'm getting a cleaning. His next words were "I thought you're getting fillings done. I'm looking at a chart from 2009". I told him not today but I will soon. Dr. Watstein then tells me "I'm not doing a cleaning. There's no point for you to be here. I care about the health of your teeth. I'm not doing that and someone will not return for another 5 years." EXCUSE THE HELL OUT OF ME! First of all, my last visit was in 2011. Dr. Watstein didn't even bother to offer to give me an up to date exam to check to make sure if anything has changed with my teeth. He's going by an old chart and God only knows how he's diagnosing previous patients. If he cared anything about his patients and why I haven't returned in four years, he would of found out I was unemployed and had financial hardships. But no he takes it upon his self to be an arrogant, nasty, rude and inconsiderate jerk without caring to ask a simple question to start a conversation. No one is going to dictate to me as a patient what, how and when I'm going to get a service done. Dr. Watstein left a very foul taste in my mouth and I stormed out of that damn office in a heartbeat. Like when my insurance denied my root canal and crown claim and I was forced to pay out of pocket for both procedures. I first met Dr. Gross when I moved to the area a few years ago and he has since been my favorite dentist I've ever had. He is effective in answering every single question I've had. He'll even go on to further and clarify if what I am doing will help my dental care or If I will be wasting my money. For example, when I asked about scheduling a third cleaning each year he explained that it wasn't that necessary as plaque build-up is effectively maintained with two cleanings. In the past, I've had multiple dentists advise me to pay out of pocket for a third cleaning as it was necessary to stop build-up of plaque and that two appointments weren't really effective. More recently, my wife and I both needed to have a root canal and crowns completed. Dr. Gross worked with us by referring us to a colleague for the root canal who was fast and efficient. On the day of my appointment, Dr. Gross called him and requested he add in a post to my tooth to help maintain the integrity. Since mine was a retreatment, my insurance denied my claim and both offices worked with me by giving me a discounted rate. For my wife, following her root canal, Dr. Gross surprised her and told her she did not need the crown as there was minimal decay. I didnt think that was even feasible but I'm happy it is. His office is always clean, and is located in a small outdoor strip mall with plenty of parking. He's always happy, his staff is always smiling, and lastly, yes, he is always cracking jokes. I cannot speak about anything like tooth removal or any other dental procedures. Actually, I am glad that I do not have experience avoiding getting in those situations.

Sadly, my experience has gone downhill so badly that I can no longer stay quiet. I have been in pain since July. After an extraction and multiple return visits, Audubon kept doing x-rays, finding nothing, and billing me--while I continued to report pain. It took months before I was finally sent to a specialist, who instantly found the problem: a cracked tooth. Something Audubon's dentists should have caught much earlier. Things got worse when my dentist was on vacation. I was in severe pain, and I was told another dentist in the office would help. Instead, that dentist refused to treat me and told the office manager to just schedule me with my regular dentist--two weeks later! Imagine being told to "just wait" when you can't eat on either side of your mouth and have already been suffering for months. Thankfully, I found another dentist on my own. They saw me the very next day, diagnosed the problem correctly, and scheduled me for treatment this week. That's how dental care is supposed to work. To be fair, the office manager Julie was kind and tried to help, but she had no support from the dentists. The failure is with the dentists and with Audubon's system of care. Bottom line: I can no longer trust this practice. The negligence, lack of compassion, and repeated dismissal of my pain is unacceptable. If you value timely and competent care, look elsewhere. A shame because I know they can do better!
