I experienced no pain and carefully followed directions, as instructed. Healing was quick and I had next to no discomfort. (5 stars to Dr. Reid) Fast forward to March 2026 and I receive a bill for a balance due. Not a problem as this happens. I sent a check dated 04/01/26 to the address on the invoice. My check hadn't been cashed. I called, left messages with the billing office to inquire about my Check - no call backs at all. I even visited the office on 04/22 and was promised they would give me a call back after speaking with the billing office. Today is 05/12 and again NOTHING from the front office. Dr. Reid needs to make front office personnel changes or patients may look elsewhere for services. She performs too excellent work to have a front office staff of this sort. Reading a previous reviewer's comments about the lackadaisical response from the office staff when she was in pain and could not reach them - I believe her! If it weren't for Dr. Reid's outstanding abilities, I would have given a one star review.

While I was at the dentist today for a routine cleaning, Dr Andrews asked " Are you wearing your retainers?". She was satisfied when I said yes and Dr E. Banks had adjusted them 2 months prior. I was glad she asked, showing interest. That's who she is. You can go to any old dentist if you just want your rotten teeth extracted and have a set of false choppers slapped into your mouth. But if your goal is to keep your teeth (or your children's), as long as possible, Dr Andrews is highly recommended. No, it will not be cheap. But losing teeth prematurely should be your last choice not your 1st. Keep your smile and confidence in place. Forgo a few of the shiny materialistic purchases you will not remember 5 years from now and invest in a healthier you. Keep you teeth by going to see Dr Andrews. I've lived in 3 differ houses in the Southern MD area, moving farther away from my dentist each time. Never mind, I drive from Charles to PG County to keep my dentist. When I changed dental plans recently, we called Dr Andrews office to make sure the new PPO insurance company is acceptable. You do what you have to do to keep seeing a VG dentist.

Let's start with the front desk staff, Absolutely warm, friendly and professional. I was extremely nervous because I was having 2 wisdom teeth and one regular tooth removed at the same time. Even though I was being sedated (put to sleep) my stomach was in knots about the whole thing. My husband was more anxious than I was however, the entire staff was very warm and empathetic to each of us. The surgeon explained everything to my husband and myself down to the tea. The whole procedure including the sedation may have taken 30 mins tops. I had my surgery yesterday and my face wasn't even that swollen after the procedure plus I have stitches and today it's not swollen at all. I'm not even taking narcotics just a high dose of pain medicine post surgery 1 day. Great Staff, great Surgeon great Dental Assistances. Keep up the great work guys.

Fifteen minutes past my appointment time I asked the receptionist how long it would be before Dr. Palumbo would see me. The receptionist seemed to cast my concerns aside, stating Dr. Palumbo was performing surgery. I asked what that had to do with my appointment time, as I was on leave from my job. After being treated so dismissively, I just asked for an excuse note so I could return to work. It appears that my initial experience of waiting an excessive amount of time to be seen was not an anomaly. I loathe it when medical providers triple, quadruple book patients for the same time, as if people have nothing to do but sit around and wait for them. Greed seems to be the underlying factor, and I, for one, will not abide anyone taking me or my time for granted. To his credit, Dr. Palumbo did call me to apologize, but when I tried to explain to him that a simple phone call asking me to re-schedule would have been acceptable, he over-talked me. Thus, the downgrade. Just as other reviewers wrote, Dr. Palumbo and his staff are superb! He has excellent chair-side manner, he's jovial and compassionate, very down to earth, and most importantly, competent! He called to check on me after my extraction, re-iterated the post-op instructions, seemed genuinely concerned about my well-being and asked me if I had any additional questions. (I don't recall ever receiving this kind of attention from a medical professional after a visit. He also gives his cell number so you can contact him directly, instead of going through after-hour service, if necessary.) I am extremely happy that I took a chance on this oral surgeon, who hasn't lost old-school values, as many other providers seemingly have. One drawback: I did have to wait about 40 minutes to be seen, but I hope this was only due to my being a new patient with added registration/insurance verification procedures. (I strongly suggest new patients either complete forms online or print out, complete and bring to first appointment.) Kudos, Team!

Instead, I opted for something to just numb the pain. I didn't necessarily feel any pain but the pressure and pulling was something I hope to never feel again. I recommend getting something stronger if you are a little softy like me. All in all, it was a very quick process. Maybe 2-5 minutes per tooth. Dr. Russell is tough but she is a great doctor! She knows what she is doing. Healing has been great. No issues at all. Slight swelling in the beginning, but that quickly went away. And the office was very nice! My dental assistant was Tarry. He was so calming, very understanding and helpful by talking with me the whole time. He understood my fear told me 9/10 people feel the same way when they come to the dentist was I wasn't alone. I have dental insurance that will kick in March 1, but of course needed care immediately so I had to pay out of pocket. They were the least expensive and even waived fees for me so I could have this infected tooth pulled that day. I did read the other reviews on the day of and was in the waiting scared I made a mistake. But I can say I don't regret coming here.
