First time at this location. I used to go to the one in Miramesa but decided to give this location a try. The parking lot is very tiny and it's a one way direction. I arrived early to my appointment so I had to wait a bit to be seen. The admin was really nice when I checked in. Make sure you have your ID and insurance card on hand. They have a small waiting area with comfy chairs. You can smell the products the staff is using, it's very strong and they also have wall plug in scents. It can be overpowering if you sat near it. I thought it was a small place until they took me in for Xray and to be seen by the doctor. They have modern devices. The doctor is really nice and the staff too. They were light handed when looking into my mouth which I like. I have anxiety whenever I go to a dentist or doctor etc. They made me felt welcome. They do have a bathroom outside of the office, you'll just have to ask for the key. It's a pretty old building. read more

I've been searching for a good dentist to give me a good plan treatment for my mouth and finally on my fifth dentist office I found a great dentist! Dr.Matty is very professional and he does a great job! I'm very satisfied with the work he has done so far! As I still have a few more visits to go. 4 crowns and three teeth extractions that were broken! Plus I had a deep cleaning done. A job well done! Worst experience ever at this office. A few years back, I got a crown here. Last year in August, it fell off. I came in and the dentist that was there told me I need a build up because there is nothing for the crown to hold onto, and that I would need a new crown due to the buildup (why didn't they do a buildup the first time I got the crown). Anyways, she starts doing the buildup without saying anything about paying. I asked because I am used to being told if I will owe something ahead of time. She said I don't need to pay because it wasn't right the first time and it is under warranty. Everything was fine and I left, planning to come get the permanent crown put on when it came in. Soon after, the guy who is at the front desk called me. He told me I need to pay for the crown, it wasn't under warranty. I told him the dentist said I didn't owe anything and it wasn't done right in the first place, I should have had a buildup done. He then tells me that lady doesn't even work there and I need to pay something because the crowns are expensive. I end up paying a lot of money, but he said it was discounted. I get the crown in August of last year. In January, it falls off. I am fed up with this place already so I go to another dentist. He xrays the crown and shows me how it doesn't even fit. He tells me I need a new crown that fits. I am in the middle of Invisalign treatment so that dentist recements it so I can finish off treatment. I have had to have it recemented four times since January. I am getting the new crown at the new dentist because I don't trust this place, and will have to pay out of pocket because insurance won't cover another crown when I just got one last year. A couple other things, it is always a different dentist. Also, one time I went and the dentist said I needed two fillings. I went back to get them and the dentist then (a different one) said I had no cavities and didn't need fillings. read more

I love the doctors and the dental assistants that have been working on my teeth because they are very friendly and want to see my teeth taken care of and turn out straight. TERRIBLE customer service. We called as a new patient and scheduled an appointment. We had to contact our insurance to switch our provider to this dentist since we were assigned to a different dentist office. Our insurance said this dentist was not accepting new patients based on there portal but to contact the dentist to get approval for accepting new patients. When we called the dentist office the woman we spoke to was incredibly rude, she said if that's what the insurance was saying then they weren't excepting new patients. I said we just made an appointment with you as a new patient and received a text confirming our appointment! She said it was an admin day and she shouldn't even be answering the phone. I said could I please speak to a manager so I could figure out what to do and she said she was the manager and that she was just going to delete my appointment. Her attitude and tone was disrespectful and rude. How do you schedule an appointment for me as a new patient and then tell me if insurance says you're not accepting new patients you must not be, it's your office!! Insurance said it was just an easy fix and the dentist just had to call them to say they were ok to accept us. Terrible experience, glad we won't be going there. Staff seemed friendly and even though I was a walk-in they still managed to see me. The downside is that I went in for pain on my wisdom tooth and they said they'd rather wait to remove all four than to take the problem away right then. I agreed since I believe the doctor had my best interest in mind but then the person at the front desk said it would take 5 days to receive a call to SCHEDULE and appointment. What part of "I'm in pain and have trouble eating," didn't register? I said fine I'll see about handling the pain. It's been over a WEEK and not a single call from their surgeon. They just took me in to make money off my medi-cal and won't bother with a follow up. read more

I haven't been to a dentist in years and I was nervous about picking a new one with my new insurance because I had a bad experience at the last office I visited. I looked for one close by and immediately saw how great the reviews here were so I decided to give them a shot. Gave them a call and immediately had such a great experience over the phone with George. He got me in next day for an emergency appointment since I was having some pain. I just went back today for a full exam and teeth cleaning and every person I have encountered here has been so nice and so awesome! I'm almost sad I don't need another teeth cleaning for 5 months! First off when I arrived for my appointment I was informed that the office had moved six months prior and as a new patient nobody thought to tell me. Secondly when I arrived at the correct location the front desk clerk confused me over some forms I should have been texted and filled out and when I was trying to clarify which text or forms he was talking and if maybe he could see in his system if I had returned any papers or not to help me conclude it I did it didn't receive the text of which he was asking. He took my questions as aggression I guess which I don't understand how considering I was genuine in my questions and I wasn't changing my tone in any manner than a polite peaceful tone. He then told me that they won't see me because of the questions I was asking. So if you're suffering severe PTSD, fear of dentists and fear of needles, just had your service dog stolen, have a learning and personality disorder and suffering from multiple absences don't come here cuz they have no patience or understanding here that you may be slower to understanding questions, situations or recalling events in the past. I was so hurt by this man's actions I stormed out of his office in tears and ended having an episode in their parking lot and had to do a breathing treatment because he triggered me so badly. The dentist Dr. Jack Harouni was so nice and thorough. The x-ray showed I had a cavity which she filled quickly and painlessly and then repaired a small chip in my tooth. There is nothing worse than a doctor who recommends a procedure just that you don't need, purely for profit. That is the reason I stopped seeing my last dentist. Dr. Harouni is not at all that way, he seems honest and very experienced. He taught dentistry in San Francisco, which is reassuring that you're not seeing a kid out of college practicing to be good at your expense. I got my braces put on right before everything shut down for Covid and was worried that it wasn't going to go as planned. Smileplus has eliminated all of that worry! The facility is always clean. There's never more than a few people in the lobby at a time. The staff is soooooo friendly and fun!!! The text reminders are so helpful. Also, with my insurance, it ended up being cheaper than the other consults that's I had received. 10/10 would recommend for all of your dental/orthodontic needs!!! read more

I am in awe of the unprofessional nature of this staff. I was assigned to this dental office by my HMO insurance and the first time I called should have been a red flag. I left a voicemail because there was no answer after several attempts of calling and never received a call back. Several weeks later I tried again and scheduled an appointment for my son and I at 8am. When we arrived around 7:55am there was no one in the lobby. No patients and no one to greet us. I didn't receive the new patient paperwork until around 8:15. We didn't get called back until around 8:50. Meanwhile we are the only patients in the lobby. Why bother schedule an 8am appointment if they won't be ready to receive patients until nearly 9? Anyway we see the dentist and Dr. Novab herself was fine. But recommended I take my 2 year old to a pediatric dentist. Basically I was there for 2 hours for no reason. It has been a nightmare trying to get the referral I need to visit a pediatric dentist I found because they don't understand how the HMO insurance works. Even after explaining the paperwork I need to bring to the other dentist, it's excuse after excuse. First they said they would call me back and they never did. After calling again the girl was arguing with me about the paperwork (extremely unprofessional). Then she said I had to come back to pick it up and after offering a fax number (which the other dentistry office said they need before I can schedule an appointment) she is saying they don't have a fax machine. How does a medical office not have a fax machine?! Moral of the story, don't choose HMO and don't choose Smile Plus. read more

Worst dentist office I can honestly think of! It's not like me to leave a bad review but oh my goodness! So I'll make it short but basically this clinic never sent over a referral for my dental work to my insurance. I called my insurance 4 weeks after waiting a long time just for them to tell me this office never sent it over! Mind you, I'm dealing with severe pain and anxiety over all this. I call the office to let them know that they never sent it over and of course I'm going to sound upset over this! So what happens? THE OWNER CALLS ME AND TELLS ME that they aren't going to have me as a client because "the way I spoke was rude" no what's rude was your office people not doing their job in a timely manner. I do not recommend this office. The staff was really rude, unprofessional, and kept messing up on our Insurance. If you have good insurance I don't recommend this office. The waiting room is really dirty and the kids play table looks like it hasn't been clean in a long time. They only have broken old canyons which could be a hazard cause any kid can swallow and choke on them. The exam rooms drawers and equipment were not properly sealed, actually nothing was sealed at all may I add. The walls, doors, and drawers are black probably from lack of cleaning. If you have good Insurance and work hard for what you have the quality of service in this dental office is not worth it. The front desk receptionist also argued with me through the phone and was not hearing anything I had to say.
