She was very kind and explained the entire process to me, what she saw on the monitor, and why the treatment plan was recommended with opportunity for me to change if I wanted to. Dr.Derek was very nice as well and both were sensitive about my oral history as well as genuine with how we will move forward. This office puts every other dentist I've ever had to shame because Dr.C's office has the most competent and knowledgeable crew you will find in Washington. During that time, Dr. Kerst has always treated my family with kindness and made us feel comfortable and cared for. My parents have been especially well taken care of by Dr. Kerst over the years, and my husband has also received wonderful care from him. This has truly felt like a family dental practice to us. I have had many dental issues over the years, and I have walked into his office embarrassed and anxious, only to have Dr. Kerst make me feel calm, respected, and cared for. That has meant a great deal to me. My daughter was born with congenitally missing teeth, and Dr. Kerst has taken beautiful care of her throughout all these years as well. One of the things I have always appreciated most about Latah Creek is that it felt like a family practice. We were never treated like a number. We felt like people who were known and cared about. Unfortunately, what happened on August 11,2026, completely changed that for me. My daughter, who is a college student, went in to have cavities treated. My husband and I were both working, and the office required her to pay $800--approximately half of the bill--before she could leave. I am listed as the guarantor and responsible party in their system. When my daughter called me afterward, she was extremely upset and crying, I felt so bad she was in this situation, I called my husband in tears, he works out of town and the last thing he wants to hear is that both of his girls are in tears because of a dentist office that we have trusted for years, the payment was taken from her account, essentially draining the money she had available as a college student. She said she felt like she was being detained. I know it's so hard to do any paperwork when you've been in the Dental chair and you're numb, that definitely made everything even worse. Those are the moments we need the most care when we're a little out of it. I was honestly shocked and heartbroken. After 10 years of being a patient and bringing my family there, I never expected my daughter to be put in that position. Regardless of the office's billing policies, I believe there was a much more compassionate way to handle the situation, especially when the responsible party was already on file. I want to make it clear that this is not a reflection of Dr. Kerst. He has always made me feel safe and comfortable, and he has taken wonderful care of my entire family. That is a huge reason this situation is so upsetting. Naomi and Tuesday at the front desk have also always been kind to us. Unfortunately, my experience with Audrey Collins at the front desk has damaged the trust I had in this practice. My daughter will not be returning, and I am honestly unsure whether I will continue as a patient myself. Finding a new dentist is a very difficult step for me because of how comfortable Dr. Kerst has made me feel over the years. I am leaving this review because I hope the practice understands how much one interaction can affect a relationship that took 10 years to build. I truly hope this situation is addressed, because I have always valued the care, compassion, and family feeling that Latah Creek Dentistry provided to my family.

While my previous dentist was fine, I started feeling uneasy about the amount of work being recommended (fillings, crowns, etc.) that didn't seem urgent. I wanted a second opinion, and I'm grateful I found this office! The dental office atmosphere felt warm and welcoming--not cold or sterile like many dental offices. The entire staff was friendly and genuinely kind. Tammy helped get me set up as a new patient and was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable during my perio charting, which not all offices do. As someone with some gum recession, I really appreciated that they take this seriously and track it closely. Dr. Eliassen was so wonderful. She was thorough, patient, and generous with her time. She walked me through my x-rays, explained everything clearly, and even fixed an enamel chip I had (which fixed the cold sensitivity that I was experiencing). Every single time I have been there, I felt that each one in the office cared for my dental health and wanted to provide the best services possible. In my opinion, they have exceeded my expectations especially when compared to the other dentists I used to go to until Integrated Dental Arts opened their doors around 1991. This latest yearly examination was, in many ways, more efficient due to the continued expertise of the staff from the front desk to the assistants for Dr. Hakes and Samantha, who did the scheduling for my next visit. All of them were not only efficiently performing their duties but were exceedingly professional in doing so. I cannot envision going anywhere else for my dental health needs.

Forget this place. I'm not happy at all. Went in with tooth…read morepain, they said it's probably a loose filling. They couldn't pin point the exact location. So they just drilled out & re-did two fillings. Didn't spend time to locate my pain. "We'll just re-do the area" After drilling out my composite, I was told I had a large pocket now & if I have pain after this fix I will need a root canal. Well, three months later I had pain. & I didn't go back for a year, I didn't want a root canal. I went back in, he did a myriad of tests to see why my tooth hurt. Cold test, stress test etc. more x-rays & ended up saying "I don't know what to do for you" and it was my sinuses causing me pain. Go to my doctor. So for my next cleaning I just didn't go. I was upset and just confused. Also, surly first ever cleaning my hygienist questioned me when I told her I wasn't on any medication. Saying "are you sure you're not taking anything? Your mouth seems dry" I had already told them, I wrote down all supplements I was taking & Im not on any prescriptions. She was questioning me. Very unprofessional. She also only hand scraped & flossed. No polish, no fluoride. Weeks later I get a $50 bill for not going to my appointment. A month later an $80 bill. It had $30 interest tacked on. I eventually paid the $80. But I asked the receptionist if she could remove the $30 interest and I just pay the $50 no show fee. She replied they never added any interest. Yet they did. I have the bill. So, when locate the bill I will post a photo of it. After explaining all my issues the receptionist said "well you should have had Dr. (other dentist) Work on you" I didn't know who worked on my teeth. it was over a year. She made me feel Like it's MY fault! I cannot believe the incompetence. So, I went to Velis dental, they were very professional and knew exactly the cause of my pain after listening to me. Gave me that thin ink film, I bit down, and they shaved some tooth down and my life has been pain free ever since. A simple tooth shaving because the composite from Wandermere Family Dental wasn't shaped/shaved down enough.
