My son loves coming to this specific Dentist. They are super fast, nice and friendly.

I've been taking my daughter here for years, today was very disappointing! I always love the staff here, always accommodating and respectful except today with our assigned dental tech! My daughter never had a cavity, but today the dentist mentioned about the staining on my daughter's tooth which is okay, it happens. I was pretty annoyed by the dental tech talking to my daughter that she has a "cavity," I then corrected her, the dentist was saying it's a stain which I know that can lead to cavity if not taken care of. I am so shock how this lady then said "I'm sorry you don't like the word but I'll refer it as a cavity." It's pretty rude, I didn't know the " dental tech" can now diagnosed? Lol. I think she needs to know her terminology before calling it a cavity before the dentist can say so? Rude!!!! read more

Nice office with a great team especially the amazing dental assistants in the back who are always so helpful and kind. Although as a parent bringing my kids here, I do have one concern. There's a particular staff member whose appearance and overall professionalism feel out of place for a pediatric setting. At times, there's a very strong smell similar to cigarettes that can be overwhelming. For a place focused on children's health, that kind of odor can be really off putting. I truly appreciate the care we've received here, but I hope this can be addressed for the comfort and well being of all patients, especially the little ones. read more

Do not recommend this place at all. My child had treatment with Dr.SKim. She's very tall Asian lady. She was so rude to the assistant it was unreal and made me very upset for the girl. She seems like she only knows how to be rude. Glad I found a better office for my children read more

I had a relative who went here three times. She and her mother went here for molar fillings, that went well but when it came for the front teeth, not so well from what I heard. Her mother says that the assistant might've been new, they have "poked" her gum and said they done everything but yesterday they went to some dentist at Arvin. She has more cavities AND an early stage infection?? How could've they not notice this if they are a formal, professional dentistry. She's now dealing with pain and one of her tooth is yellow. I also heard from a friend they went here and it didn't go well too but I don't know much since I didn't hear. I don't recommend this place if you want to be lied too. read more

If I could give negative stars I would definitely fill up this page. Even with an appointment this place makes you wait so long, I recommend taking breakfast and lunch with you for you will be there for a while. The Dentists that smileland hires are extremely unprofessional and do not care to make children comfortable with the scary procedures that they perform, I could not believe the disregard for trust between children and the Dentists that work there they do not engage in a positive manner or show professionalism in their work. Friendly staff , beautiful office , wry profesional and caring for the patients . Loved it .They take walk ins you should arrive by 7:50-8am . Being they get lines outside for walk ins and they only take the first 4/5 patients . Luckily I was number 2 and my son was able to get his dental treatment. 5 stars all the ways. Where do I start with this.. this isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with this place & yet I decided to give it a 2nd chance.. worst mistake ever. The day of my sons appointment we arrived on time, his appointment was at 11:30 (we came in for fills on cavity's) we checked in and sat in the waiting room everything seemed okay, there was very few people in the waiting room with us, but then more people came and they were being seen before my son (they came in after us even some others that came in an hour after us were being seen been us) my 3 year old son and I were waiting anywhere between 2 1/2 - 3 hours in the waiting room just to be seen (and I was trying my best to keep him entertain) finally they called us in the back and informed us it wouldn't be long (so they say) and left us waiting in a room for about 45 minutes, unattended without anyone checking up on us, the dental assistant have walked serval times past the room and many looked inside and saw we were there but said nothing and kept walking, there was another child who came after us and yet was being seen before us and was in a chair already to get work done. My son at this point started getting impatient and wanting to leave so I finally got the attention of a dental assistant (none of them were acknowledging us) and she informed me we were "next" & was prepping for X-rays.. we took X-rays and was thinking okay cool maybe another 5/10 and were next right? guess what! Another 20 minutes in the room.. at this point I decided to leave so we did leave, & my child has been patient from the moment we enter to the moment we went into the room, i started walking with my son and past a dental assistant and informed her that we were leaving due to them being unprofessional and the lack of time management and that I would be reporting this to Smile California.. and dental assistant just looked at me and said "okay have a great day" and turned around and left. Wasted so much time in that place. It is ridiculous! I now looked for else where to treat my sons cavity's and honestly I love it there! They were more informative and helpful and kept me updated every step of the way during my sons fills. Definitely changing and not going back to Smileland. read more

As soon as I walked in the door the person greeting was not nice at all, the ladies in the reception as well were in very bad moods and did not treat us nicely. When they called my child in my child was crying and scared this being his first time at the dentist and they as well showed no sympathy and made us feel like if they were mad and annoyed. I received the run around rescheduled canceled and completely disregarded. Because a dentist didn't feel comfortable preforming procedures they asked use to get a second opinion and medical clearance in which we did. Reschedule the appointment to have it canceled. Attempted to speak with someone regarding all the thing that where required just to be give more obstacles. All of this while my child was in pain with a tooth ache. The so unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unethical business practices have me speechless. My son is 2 and I took him to this location for his first dentist visit. When I called to make the appt the receptionist was very pleasant and explained everything I would need to bring. Day of the appt I'm running late I call and they rescheduled the appt for a hour later and were so kind about it. The dental hygienist was so sweet and explained everything with patience. The dentist was quick because my son was not happy but I didn't feel like he was being rude. I'm sure he knew holding a screaming 2 year old wasn't easy! My son is 7 years old and when he went for a cleaning he was scared and told the indian employee that he likes the bubble gum flavor tooth paste, she didn't wanna listen and my son just took off. Just started coming to this dentist and I can say I love it here for my son. His first visit was really terrifying for him and staff are really good at talking to them explaining and calming them. I am back for the second time and my son did not cry at all he was calm the whole time. We where helped by a very friendly person by the name of Anayelli she spoke to my son had the patience to calm him and explain that the cleaning was not going to hurt and so on he really liked her and I believe that's what it's all about ,kindness,patience these children sometimes can be a handful but these people here are great at handling it! read more

On 09/09/19, I had a scheduled follow up visit for all 3 of my kids. Initially two months ago, I had gone to the Ming location for their first appointments, that entailed, a cleaning and fluoride treatment with a follow up scheduled for today. Today my appointment was scheduled at 10am, two months in advance. They have me waiting on my second hour. I will attach a picture the center is empty. The staff lacks communication with the patients/parents of children. It took me 3 trips to the front desk to know what were the problems. First, the receptionist asked for my kids Ids and insurance information. She did not have it on file, but I had already provided that information In my last visit on Ming. Second, she stated that our last visit was back in 2017 and no recent appointments were showing up. After arguing my point and telling her this was a follow up and both locations were lacking communication as well as documentation transfers, she decided to call and investigate. In this 10 different patients have come and gone and the waiting room is completely empty. She did not approach me to give me an update, until yet again I go up to the front desk. This time she tells me she barely got the documentation and asks what my appointment is for and what did the dentist want for my kids during my last visit. Excuse me do you not have this information available! Third, it now has been over two hours now and we are still waiting and she has advised to wait an extra 30 minutes for the employees to set up for us. Oh and let me add, she states that my kids need a second set of xrays done. Why?? My kids just had them done not even a full two months ago and my insurance wont cover the second. Her response is the doctor just wants them. Please advise and teach your staff in effective communication skills and business etiquette. This whole situation is a nightmare and a waste of time. If I get charged for an extra set of xrays, which I declined and advised against, I will be holding this company liable. read more
