I had my first appointment on 3/20/26 @ 2:30 and from the moment I walked in, the front desk girl with was friendly and made me feel very welcomed. The office was super clean, nice and organized. My appointment was at 230 and I didn't have to wait long to be called back. The office coordinator/manager (I think that's what her title is) was super friendly, as she made me feel very welcomed and comfortable in my new environment. She gave me an office tour (which was cool, as I never experienced that ANYWHERE), she was very thorough with the tour, explained how the office runs and took the time to talk with me and get to ME, not just as another patient, but an actual person! They even take pride in their patients by making them feel important and appreciated with fun giveaways and going that extra mile. I was even given a goodie bag which was super cool and 100x better than a small plastic bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste from my former dentist. The gal that took my x-rays was also super friendly and nice, as she took the time to make me feel welcomed and important by explaining everything she was doing, step-by-step. While waiting for the doctor, another gal walked in (name started with a K), to check on me and to give me an update on when the doctor would be in. She offered me a beverage and put Nextflix on so I can watch while I waited (the dental assistant's at my former dentist would leave me sitting there without even saying a word to me), again, above and beyond service at Dr. Chang's dental! Once the doctor came in he was also very friendly, talked to me and actually got to know me! He put my x-rays on the TV for a better view and was very thorough with explaining my x-rays to me. The Dr. Chang was very friendly, funny and kind as we discussed our lives, my teeth It was well the worth the wait in this dentist office and VERY pleased with Dr. Chang, as I learned my teeth weren't as good as they look, and I blame my old dentist for that. Now that I'm with Dr. Chang, I can finally properly get my teeth right! I'm very thankful for the several referrals I got from people, to switch to this dental office and I'm very glad I did. I urge everyone who sees this review, to ditch your old dentist and come to Dr. Chang's office, I swear you won't feel like just "another patient" and you'll be happy you made the switch... I know I am!

When I started getting a toothache someone recommended this office to me and I have been coming here ever since. It's been a god send, I am so thankful. Mercedes, Diane and Rachel at the front are always helpful in scheduling and billing. Evelyn for X-rays is kind, considerate and great with kids. Yvette the assistant has been a great help and so sweet during my visits with Dr. Eiswert. She's lovely. Reanna is wonderful and sweet. She has helped me with my Invisalign and always been great to work with. She listened to my concerns and helped me feel confident about the choices I am making to get a straight smile. Lydia and Karina both amazing hygienists! I have mostly been with Lydia and the kids have been with Karina. They are awesome and the teeth cleanings always go smoothly, I can't say enough about them! After going to 4 different places up here over the last few years, and finally landing on Apple Valley Dental, I can truly say this is the best service I've had in the field. The first cleaning I had was the best I've had in a LONG time, and the progress I've made with cavities being filled has gone smoothly with Dr. Kim and team. I'm very glad I was referred to this place and they got me in right away. In my opinion, they're the best dental facility in the high desert.

It truly feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. The hygienists are incredible: kind, patient, and thorough. I always feel comfortable and at ease, which says a lot because I used to despise going to the dentist (I avoided it for probably 15 years... yikes). This office completely changed that for me. The space itself is ultra-modern, beautiful, and spotless, but more importantly, the quality of care is truly top-notch. Dr. Kim is clearly very busy and successful, yet he is so approachable, down-to-earth, and genuinely caring. He takes the time to explain things and makes you feel valued--not rushed. I also really appreciate that he lives and works in the community he serves, which is one of the many reasons I continue to support--and enthusiastically recommend--his practice. I rave about this office to anyone who will listen. If you're looking for exceptional dental care in an environment that feels comfortable and personal, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend.

What we…read morewere not told or made aware of is that the dental office had removed themselves from the network of our insurance, (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), less than a week before our appointment. Because of this, when the insurance company refused to pay for the service, we were sent a bill for $400+. When we contacted the insurance company about non-payment, the insurance company told us that they would contact the provider and if they would request to be back in the network for the time of our appointment, then Blue Cross/Blue Shield would pay the statement. The dentist office had agreed to do so, and we thought everything was taken care of, UNTIL we received a bill from Smile Makers, 10 months later for the original charges plus late payment fees. Needless to say, I contacted my insurance carrier who informed me that the dental office never requested to be placed back in the network. After several back and forth calls, the insurance carrier presented the dental office with 2 options, they would let the dental office back into the network for the date of our service, or Smile Makers could accept from me the amount Blue Cross/Blue Shield would have paid them. Unfortunately for me, Smile Makers stated the dentist was on vacation and the office made it sound like he would not want to request to be placed back into the network temporarily and that the best I could hope for was to pay the $400+ myself. My review is a negative one because this experience has not had the outcome that I had expected. Not only do I pay nearly $600 a year for dental insurance but then through no fault of my own, I am out another $400+ because the office staff at Smile Makers did not bother to inform us that they had removed themselves from our insurance network. Every time we would go to the dentist, we would ask if everything was alright with our coverage.

The architecture is beautiful, and the parking lot is large and accommodating. The entrance is accessible with a wide ramp and no stairs for anyone using a cane or wheelchair. Inside, the facility is pristine, almost looking like a high-end luxury spa instead of a dental office. The waiting area features a mixture of seating, including plush, cozy seating as well as unique clear chairs. The receptionist area is wide, and the staff is wonderful, consistently kind, and respectful. Even the bathrooms are unique with modern see-through sinks! During my first visit in September 2025, I was given a tour explaining their equipment sterilization process, and I was shown the different procedure rooms. As someone who deeply values transparency and honesty, this immediately made me feel safe. The hygienist, Cara, was amazing. She was incredibly gentle with a wonderful bedside manner. Her gentleness was not only a compliment to her technique, but it was a sensory relief for me. Over the next few months in late 2025, I returned several times for a crown, a filling, and a few quick, complimentary bite adjustments to resolve some misalignment headaches. The high standard of care was always consistent. I like to understand what's going on with my care, and I felt safe to ask questions about my treatment without ever being made to feel silly. However, my recent experience as a VA patient showed an issue in communication. After receiving automated email reminders in early 2026 stating it was time to schedule my biannual cleaning, I reached out to Glenn Dental to initiate the request. Because the VA Community Care authorization process takes time, I expected a wait. What I didn't expect was the lack of communication during that wait. I called Glenn Dental twice over the course of two months, once on April 6 at 1:43 PM, and again on May 1 at 12:36 PM, and left two separate voicemails to check on the status of my cleaning. Unfortunately, neither of my calls were returned. Ultimately, on June 8, 2026, I chose to stop by the office in person to follow up. Since I had previously contacted Community Care and brought my authorization number with me, I was able to successfully get scheduled. The front desk representative remained professional and apologized for the inconvenience. The explanation provided was that the VA Coordinator handles those specific callbacks. However, I thought a business phone belonged to the entire front office. When I left those messages, anyone could have returned my calls. Whether it was a system glitch, a tech outage, or messages simply getting overlooked during a hectic day, the ball was dropped. I understand that third-party approvals take time and that the office has to wait on the VA. If someone had reached out with a quick, two-minute courtesy call just to say, "Hi Melissa, we received your messages and we're still waiting on the VA paperwork, but we haven't forgotten you," it would have felt like I was seen and not ignored or overlooked. I consider that an extension of my care and dental relationship. I am grateful that Glenn Dental contracts with the VA to serve veterans like me, and I truly hope this communication breakdown was just an isolated blip. Because the clinical care and the staff have otherwise been top-tier, I still recommend this facility, I just hope to see their communication updates improve for patients in the future.
