He listens to you and makes suggestions for the PREVENTION of further damage to whatever it's going on with your kiddo. The girl, 8, work has to be re-examined but he was lost welcoming to do so. After I brought up the fact that they should have called prior to the appointment to advise a patient of the amount that they expect at the end of service they said they didn't have an office manager anymore and they apologize for the inconvenience. I spoke to Dr. Marfori he and all he could say was I understand and I apologize; not once did they offer a payment arrangement for me...so I was out $300 that was not budgeted for. No one had any sympathy for what I experienced needless to say I am looking for another pediatric dentist.

She got him comfortable with the tools and let him touch them and they played with them before she started. As soon as Doctor Patty came in she told our son "no! You can not touch my toys. They are mine not yours" which we were shocked to hear after the nurse set the tone of a playful environment. Then immediately the doctor started talking about ABA therapy for autistic children. Which shocked us immediately. I asked her why she was discussing therapy with us at his dental appointment. She said "I don't see kids with special needs". I said "so were you not able to finish what we were suppose to do today?" She said "no, we got everything done that we needed to" and I said "so what is the problem?" She responded with "well he was crying and visibly upset." To which I said "ok. Did that keep you or your nurse from doing your jobs?" She said no. But she recommended us taking him to therapy before his next visit. I asked her to not speak to me about therapy and instead speak to me about his dental needs. She back pedaled and changed her tune but ultimately it was a very negative experience especially since we were very proud of our son for allowing them to do what they needed to do regardless of a few tears because he was scared at his first visit. Day before the appointment (today) they call me at 7AM telling me that my son does not have dental coverage, which he absolutely does and was given to them through their own portal. In their message they said it would be a full out of pocket cost appointment paid before they would see him but if somehow I did have insurance (I do) they would need to reschedule his appointment to run his insurance AGAIN. I asked are you saying that if I pay cash in full you will see him but if I refuse and want to use my insurance you won't see him for at least three more days? Even though he's a 5 year old in pain. The answer was yes. Insanity. I said why would that take 3 more days and the girl on the phone did not have an answer for that and simply said I don't know. That's not an acceptable answer for us. We will be going elsewhere as well as reporting this situation to the proper places and regulators so this can be investigated. I believe they are peddling for cash since my son is in pain, which as a medical provider goes against their sworn oath.

He became my primary dentist and put together a plan with an orthodontist, a maxillofacial surgeon and a periodontist. He decided I needed gum grafts, which were a success. I got braces, which were a success. Then I had double corrective jaw surgery, which was not only unsuccessful but has left me with permanent, searing nerve pain. After I had the surgery, I was informed that Dr. Schmitt was no longer practicing as a regular dentist but only doing restorative work. He told me to find another dentist and to come back when I needed a full mouth restoration. He, quite literally, abandoned me mid-stream with the plan he had laid out for me. Odd, don't you think, for a professional who claims "heartfelt compassion"? For a dentist who It seems to me that, the minute he realized there was a complication in my treatment, he didn't want to be involved, although he had been deeply involved before. Doesn't sound compassionate to me. I was fortunate to find another dentist to take care of my teeth but the whole "plan" that had been laid out for me was dropped. I don't believe a responsible dentist, or any responsible health professional, would drop a patient in the middle of treatment because he decided he didn't want to practice that part of his profession any longer. In my opinion, I don't believe his treatment of me was ethical or compassionate.

I am now in my 50s and have lost several teeth in the back so I needed a very customized dental plan to replace teeth.. eventually ALL of my teeth. Dr. Schmitt is very expensive for sure -- most other dentists, periodontists and maxillary surgeons do not even charge for a 2nd opinion or an estimate for a dental plan. Dr. Schmitt charges a whopping 343 dollars for this. But this is NOT why I writing this....... this man is creepy. He took legitimate photos of my mouth with a female technician assisting him. But then he took some photos when NO female technician was in the room -- at the time I wasnt really processing it and tried to blow it off. But in reflection -- the photos were a very bizarre pose with my mouth OPEN and really did not seem to be clinically relevant AT all... I have asked for ALL the photos--- he ONLY sent me the photos that were taken with the female tech in the room, HOWEVER, he STILL has not sent me the creepy photos in question. It has been 2 WEEKS since I have asked for those particular photos -- -- I asked for them twice and asked the office staff as well... CRICKETS. He has not given me the time of day -- he has COMPLETELY ignored me. I find this to be disrepectful, unprofessional, unethical and YES CREEPY. Beware women!

I have had my cleaning scheduled for 6 months, which is typically fully covered as prophylactic. I just happened to see something on Facebook that they no longer are in network for Delta Dental - so I called to check how much my responsibility would be! Not only was I never notified by the office that I would now be out of network - but they ignored my request for information for 6 weeks. When I called back two days before my cleaning - turns out my "free" cleaning will now be around $300. So no - I will find an in network dentist - but thanks for delaying my cleaning probably ~3 months it will take to get in someplace new.

I ended up losing my hearing on my right ear. when I got a second opinion dentist said he would not have touched the tooth since I was awake since to was close to a nerve. Not only that but with my daughter spacers for braces they did it there then suggested me to a ortho to remove some teeth. dentist never recalled what step we were in after he told me a different treatment plan each time for length. believe with my daughter nought and teeth he should have sent me to a specialist from the beginning. instead of wasted time and amount of money I spent.
