Their website sells a Glo-Pro whitening in-office 16 minute procedure for $199 with an upcharge to $495 for an additional take-home kit. I made an appointment and said I was only coming in for that $199 procedure since I already had a dentist on the other side of Orlando. I showed up today and the front counter gal said the 16-minute procedure was $495 (but she changed her tune when I told her to look at their own website). However, after waiting almost 1/2 hour, she told me the doctor would need to consult with me, plus I'd have to get x-rays. That's not what I understood from my phone appointment. To her credit they offered me the extra work at no charge, but no dentist should require a full set of x-rays (think lots of radiation) just to do a quickie in-office whitening procedure. I'll never use any SAGE Dental facilities again. read more

If there was 0 stars I would give it. This place is the biggest scam dentist I have EVER seen in my life. I decided to try it out because my dentist stopped taking my insurance. From the moment I walked in, I got bad vibes. Mostly because one of the people in the waiting room warned me they are money hungry and also because The woman at the desk already started telling me my insurance didn't cover X-rays and cancer screenings and I had never had my dentist in the past say any of this. I begrudgingly paid them $150 up front... I was a little suspicious when my X-rays were taken at the speed of light and the actual camera was shaking during them..my last dentist would always take those over... later in the appointment the dental tech that was supposed to clean my teeth came to give me an estimate on my cleaning?!? This was NEW...and it was another $350. I was like what?!? I have insurance that you take and it covers cleaning. She literally says to me..you have an infection..hmm well that's weird because I just got off of 2 weeks of antibiotics for an illness not to mention I don't feel or see one...AND your dentist just came in and said I have some of the best teeth he's ever seen and I just had my teeth cleaned 7 months ago...They would not clean my teeth without me paying them so I left. Pissed by the way...fast forward 2 weeks when I get into another local dentist that takes my insurance I told him everything Sage dental said -He said first of all oral cancer screenings are free and they charged me. My X-rays should of been covered by my insurance and so should my cleaning and in NO WAY did I have an infection. Which is what they tried to tell me when they wanted to charge me $350 out of pocket just for a cleaning. That place is CRIMINAL! My appointment was at 3pm and I got there on time. 40 minutes go by and the finally called me in, thought they were busy no big deal. This company is garbage. I had a crown done at this office and the products that were used are cheap and defective, the previous general manager was racist. I complained to the company for both and they did not do anything. Now, I was eating breakfast and the tooth they had worked on broke in half. They are supposed to put a bridge and work in a better way. I called the company and to one of the people in the highest management, Theresa and she told me that the company does not want to do anything so my wish to them is bankruptcy and to be shut down so that no one else goes through this pain. i enrolled in Devoted Health, (via Medicare), using Liberty Dental Insurance. I am a Diabetic and require periodontal maintenance deep cleanings, 2X/year, or more. I attended an initial appointment, and was asked to bring proof of prior periodontal Treatment, and I did. I also contacted my insurance carrier, Liberty Dental who provided me with the appropriate codes for billing. The Periodontal Dentist who conducted a check up and determined that I could be managed by the local office. My first appointment was 03/31/2021, at Sage of Windermere, located in the Dr. Phillips area. After seeing the Hygienist; I stopped at the front desk. The front desk workers never provided me with a bill, discussed money due, etc.; Nor did I never get a deep cleaning. I paid for $270.00 for a Mouth Guard; and left. My second was scheduled for 09/30/2021. There was no communication with me; Only to notify me of my 2nd appointment. The level of professionalism of their Office Staff is horrendous. On 09/30/ 2021, I went in and was diagnosed with an infection; and told that my insurance would not cover the medicine. I paid Sage $170.00. Mt first bill arrived in October 2021, as a result of my learning that between Liberty Dental and Sage Dental billing had not been resolved. There was clearly a coding malfunction, however no one at either of these Corporate entities were willing to communicate the Billing Issues with me, with no intent to provide resolution. My second bill arrived after 12/21/2021, now owing $520.00, " PAST DUE". I had filed numerous complaints between Sage Corporate Office, Medicare, Devoted Health, State of Florida, Consumer Services Department. Devoted Health's Grievance Dept. ruled that the investigation was inadequate periodontal care due to the fact that there was a history of deep cleanings was established by me; Which meant that Sage Dental was to Have my claim reprocessed on the D4910 perio maintenance. Sage has not attempted to re-work my bill, since 11/08/2021. Sage Corporate Officer who handles problems, is no longer accepting my telephone calls; nor, is the Sage Dental Office of Windermere. Devoted Health is not actively involved on a Management level to assist in the resolution on one of their customers. In closing, I would not recommend anyone to any of these agencies. Run! read more

Let me say my overall experience here was ok. Making appointments was an easy process. This is specifically about my experience with my dentist and the office/company handling. I got a root canal here. The procedure itself was not a bad experience considering I expected torture. I felt nothing. I was told crowns last 10 years or more. Flash forward 2 years and my grown breaks. Not while eating or anything. I was drinking water and nearly swallowed it. I call the office confused and wondering why to do. They basically say it's not their problem but ask when I want to schedule an appointment. The answer of course was never. Then I go to a new dentist. Another sage and for a second opinion. Both recommended retreatment because the canal isn't cleaned and I need a new crown so basically I'm paying for the same thing again 2 years later and the office hasn't offered the bare minimum of support. I came into your Windermere office to have teeth cleaning provided through Medicare. Instead was ushered into deep cleaning procedure costing over $1000.. not covered by Medicare. When discussing with United Health Care, after being denied claim, they concluded with me that I was wrongly overcharged. Paper worked I signed was presented to me as I was leaned back in chair without enough time to digest what my signature would determine. I repeatedly asked if this was and assured my insurance would cover it. That was a lie. After paying over $800, I got billed for another almost $300. I wish I had checked the reviews before I let this place rob me of my time and money. Let's start with the immediate up selling of services. They didn't even finish my x-rays before they tried to sell me a service I didn't need. I refused and then it took them 90 minutes to complete my x-rays--my mouth was sore and tender when they were done. Then instead of getting my cleaning they refused unless I paid an additional $180 in order to get the deep cleaning. Of course this was on top of the $190 I already paid to get the "VIP" package which is supposed to cover x-rays and 2 cleanings. BUT they wouldn't give me my cleaning if I didn't upgrade. Dishonest and inaccurate billing. I needed several services done and I requested a predetermination to be sent to the insurance company so I would know exactly what amount I was expected to pay. This was never done. At the time of each service, I paid the agreed upon amount. After paying for the services rendered, I continued to receive additional bills for the same services I had already paid for. I contacted my insurance company to determine if they agreed with the discrepancy and the insurance company was unable to find a valid reason for the additional billing. Sage Dental was dismissive of my valid complaint and did not provide a valid explanation for the additional billing. read more

I had an appointment for my son scheduled for six months for his cleaning and xrays. I received a call about a week before his appointment and was informed that the doctor will be on vacation and would not be able to do his exam. I was told the vacation was planned for months but was not informed regarding the issue until now. I informed the office manager that our son goes to school out of state and a phone call months ago when the vacation was planned would of been more appropriate. This is giving Sage a 2nd chance to do things right (after already spending in the $thousands). The front staff is very important to give a good first impression especially for new patients. At this office there are many members who are pleasant and extremely helpful. The West Indian dentist is very gentle, patient and knowledgeable. However, there was one individual that was very rude, insulting and spoke down to everyone in a high and mighty voice. As I sit in the waiting room, she is rude to patients on the phone. She is very arrogant and carries about herself as though this is her personal dollhouse. As you read the review below mine this is the same person. I should have known what to expect. I was horrified to find out that this was the office manager (Natalie). She needs to be retrained especially in the 'having manners' department. We might want to start with the staff beneath her. They might be able to give some tips to improve herself. My insurance covers many dentists. I don't really have to put up with this one. Also strange now 6 months has gone by and they still look like horse teeth in her mouth every time she looks in the mirror she cries was told they would adjust over time but never did so now here she is a woman walking around looking like Mr. ED not to even mention they wont stay in at all without a tube of glue have contacted an attorney and will seeing them again soon in court read more

I was not happy with the outcome of my visit as a new patient at the Windermere Sage Dental. I waited a few weeks to get in for a basic cleaning and x rays. I made an appointment for my partner as well. I almost didn't get my cleaning, I was told my appointment was running into the next and recieved a quick partial cleaning, if it would even qualify as that, certainly the least through basic cleaning I have even gotten in the 30 or more I have had. My partner left with no cleaning. It was all I could do to get him there and then most of the time was spent telling him what other work he needed and In my opinion he was talked into waiting until other work was done. They did take his full payment for a cleaning and sais they would credit him $20 when he returned. In my opinion the new patient offer is just to get you in the door. They then try to sell you Dental Insurance and (More time is spent on that than on your cleaning for sure. Dishonest and money hungry. Went in for a consult. Had X-rays taken and the tech said everything looked great, showed me the X-rays, no cavities. I've never had a cavity in my entire life and then the dentist comes in and pokes around and says I have a cavity on the bottom of one of my back teeth and need a filling immediately. I came in a few days later for the cleaning and asked to see the X-ray of the cavity and they said they weren't able to show me even after they had the X-ray up they said it wasn't visible on the X-ray. Not to mention now they tell me it's on my top set of teeth. The dentist was ready to drill into my teeth for an unnecessary filling for a cavity that didn't even exist just so the company could bill my insurance and get more money. Patients that arrived seriously late for their appointment are pushed ahead of patients that arrived on time. Never ever make an appointment unless it is the first one of the day. They tried to charge my daughter$260 for a cleaning and me $60. This was after us being there for over 1.5 hours for her appointment and my appointment took also over an hour. Neither of us got our teeth cleaned and I took off a day of work for no reason. Another patient was in the next stall and the office manager and dental hygienist discussed in length and extreme loud his bill and how much he had to pay. The guy was elderly and and the office manager was extremely rude to him. That should have been a clue for me to walk out after I had been there for way to long. However, the West Indian dentist was very nice. My insurance pays totally for a cleaning and my copay should be $5. Then they said I needed $3000 worth of dental work. My daughter came back another day to have an ortho consult and she described the orthodontist as very creepy, and dismissive. She has no missing teeth and this guy said she needed implants, he also said it would be a waste of time to get braces(she has had consults before) and after looking in her mouth for 10 minutes he came up with that conclusion. I had to meet her there because, I worked passed MCO and would be 5 minutes late. She wasted money and that was after she had to UBER there, he said he will not take my insurance, although they took it two days before. Before they scheduled the appointment they should have checked and they are listed on my dental plan website and they do take it for ortho procedures. This orthodontist is there only once or twice a month and I would have to travel to different locations to get her dental work done. They then proceeded to bash my Dental insurance company and said only Greenberg takes it(this is not true). I have Delta dental of which is a major dental insurance carrier and so does over 30,000 of my colleagues.They also said they did not take more than one dental insurance. So, we decided to go down the street on Conroy in Windermere to a popular Orthodontist and had no issues,they were wonderful and very professional. I will transfer my dental film to another dentist in the same area to avoid having to deal with them again. I am very disappointed in our experience. I went here for an Orthodontics consultation and wasn't impressed. While the doctor was nice, he was very pushy that I looked into a difficult cosmetic procedure that I made it very clear I didn't want to do....a procedure that wouldn't affect my health and would only affect my appearance. He came in an put on clean gloves. He put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a pen. Then he reached over to pickup the clip board. After making some notes he asked her to open her mouth. * At this point she asked him to put on clean gloves. He told her that he already had done that when he came in. She pointed out that his gloves were no longer sterile seeing as he had put his hand in his pocket, picked up his pen, and picked up the clipboard. He finally said that he understood and changed to a clean pair. * Similar deal with the x-ray machines. Our prior dentist would change the sterile tape on the arm of the x-ray every patient. BECAUSE they put their gloved fingers in your mouth when they place the piece of film alongside your teeth. So that arm needs to be re-cleaned every patient. # (IMO someone should start Brothers Against Deceptive Dentists, BADD, and shame these outfits and misfits.) read more

I have finally found a great dentist after searching for quite some time. The staff could not be nicer, the service is exceptional and the environment is great. You couldn't pay me to go to a dentist, but after finding such a great place it makes the experience so much more relaxed and bearable.
