Be very cautious - all about money, not the patient…read more I visited Mason Dental for a new patient exam after calling ahead and confirming that my insurance will most likely be covered. I was told that insurance would be verified and that they would submit everything for a coverage estimate prior to treatment. After my exam and X-rays, I was informed that I had periodontal disease and would need scaling and root planing. I was also told I had approximately nine cavities and was strongly encouraged to proceed with laser treatment that was not covered by insurance. At no point did I feel I was given clear, conservative options or a breakdown of urgency versus elective procedures. The initial visit resulted in a $200 charge, and I was quoted approximately $800 for the recommended deep cleaning. Because the diagnosis felt significant, I sought a second opinion as I've never had periodontal issues and receive regular cleanings (I worked in the dental industry for years). At another dental office, I was told that I do not have periodontal disease and do not need scaling and root planning cleanings. Their review of my X-rays showed no signs supporting that diagnosis, aside from two isolated pockets near areas where my wisdom teeth had previously been extracted. Then was informed I have two areas on my molars that needed very small fillings on the occlusal areas. They were shocked my Mason Dentals treatment plan! Based on this second opinion, I'm concerned about the difference in diagnoses and the treatment plan I was given. I would recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with Mason Dental.

I tend to get very anxious beforehand, especially when something unexpected happens, but from the moment you walk in the door, the entire staff and doctors make you feel comfortable and at ease. They use the newest dental technology and are clearly committed to continuously educating their staff, which really adds to the level of care and confidence you feel as a patient. The compassion, professionalism, and follow-up are truly exceptional. I also want to give a special shout-out to one of their newer dental assistants, Aubrey. She was an absolute pleasure to spend several hours with today, and for the first time ever, I'm actually looking forward to my next visit. I can't recommend Mason Dental enough

The first time I visited The Dentist Off Main, I was terrified. I had to have nitrous just for a cleaning. They were patient and kind, and didn't make me feel silly or cowardly. They just took care of me and my teeth. Almost 2 years, 2 wisdom teeth, and a bunch of cleanings later, I got up this morning excited to go to the dentist because it meant I could sit back and relax for 20 minutes. Dentist=Relaxing now. That's pretty much a miracle. I see them regularly without any fear or hesitation. Maybe the better indicator of how much I like them is that I moved my son from his fantastic pediatric dentist into their care and also convinced my mother and husband to make Dr. Luczak their dentist. Dr. Luczak, Kerri, Ann, and Jolene are the best.

My old place just wanted $$ and I am So glad I found a dentist I can actually trust! When my little one smashed his teeth up into his gums after tripping and hitting his mouth, they fit him in right away and were so good with him! My daughter gets super anxious with all things dentist and doctor and she loves the staff here! 10/10 best dentist ever.

I had been going to Share Dentistry for around 2 years at the time and was comfortable with the staff, so I thought nothing about a routine crown. A little while later I move closer to Dallas and go in to meet with a new dentist for a 6-month cleaning (around May 2025). After surveying my mouth, she notices my crown (that Dr. Lee at Share Dentistry put on) and an open mesial margin with that crown. For those like me with a very limited dental vocabulary, this essentially meant there was a very small opening in that crown that allowed food/bacteria to build up around the tooth. The crown was not put on well, which it should have been. My new dentist encouraged me to have them replace the crown Share Dentistry put on. Today, they took off my old crown and noticed a buildup of decay around the tooth that that reached the nerve. There is now a chance that I will need a root canal in the future. Not only did this not get covered by insurance because of a frequency of a crown replacement on the same tooth, it also caused me more pain/discomfort. I share my story to encourage others to be cautious of working with Share Dentistry and Dr. Yun Lee. Thank you for your time.
