I made 2 appointments for 2 cleanings for today, mine and my son.... " the cleaning girl" did her well practiced speech and " recommended " the deep cleaning for my son, he already had one done there and it was so painful that he decided never again . At that time I informed her that we just want a regular cleaning ... she exploded and told me " it is my recommendation to do the deep cleaning and you want a regular cleaning GO somewhere else". So , we did It is my money, my mouth and my decision what I get done in my body". So if you are a " sheep" and can follow their orders go ahead .... ! As for me ... If a negative rating could be left, that's what this would be. My mom, an 83-year-old senior, with tight income has been treated awful by Smiles on Randall. She had a missing tooth that she was getting a removable replacement for. The dentist scraped the roof of her mother badly and was dismissing as she explained her discomfort. She then arrived for her expensive tooth replacement and they notified her of needing to have an exam for an additional $54. They wouldn't release the tooth to her without the exam and she was never told about the exam needs or additional cost prior to agreeing to have the tooth made. Completely unfair and unacceptable way to treat any customer, let alone a poor senior woman. read more

I was a new patient late in May 2024. The doctor was in my room for under 1 minute, giving her name while standing out of sight. She said a few sentences to the hygienist and left without ever even looking at my mouth; they charged $50 for an oral exam! The hygienist took xrays but the doctor never spoke to me about them. When I called from home the next morning and complained, the girl said firstly that the doctor said she had examined me! I said she did NOT and then she came back saying that I could come in that day for another cleaning, free of charge. Why would I go back? So I was out $50. I couldn't trust her. read more

My daughter and I have been patients at this office for 10 years and the office used to be wonderful. I have dental assisting background and education and have never feared the dentist until now. The quality has tanked entirely. I am disappointed in the service both my daughter and I have received at this office. A few years ago, an assistant once dropped the glasses for my daughter. She picked them up with a gloved hand gave them to my daughter to wear for the procedure and proceeded with the cleaning without changing gloves! That was the first red flag. On her last visit, they told me multiple sealants placed by this office have fallen out again and want to add more. When I suggest the reasoning they fail is because of THEIR improper placement (the #1 reason they fail), they deny and then ask me to pay for her sealants to be redone. Why, to have them fail again? Plus they said nothing about removing the broken ones. For me, the dentists seem like they are in a big hurry all the time and assistants are either not trained properly or just dont care. Acid etchant was placed on my areas to be filled and the assistant doesnt use high speed suction to get it all out resulting in ulcers and sores as well as a bitter taste in the mouth. My last visit, I tried to stop the procedure as I was almost choking on the etchant and water for 20 minutes, but the dentist kept working in my mouth....Assistant let me breathe in all the filling material being drilled off my teeth because she didnt use the high speed suction. So it was like I was being tortured. I couldnt breathe, I couldnt swallow, I was having a panic attack. Dentist left the operatory before checking that my margins. I asked the assistant for floss and my margins were all sealed shut! So MORE discomfort from not using the mylar strips. Then after messing up a simple procedure, the other dentist tells me my teeth were crooked to begin with. I had photos to show those teeth were never crooked!!! All I wanted to do was get out and never look back. And Vivian, while nice, I am convinced did not take my complaints seriously. In conclusion, if you are interested in gambling with your dental health , unsanitary and uncaring staff, you came to the right place. I am sad I have to find a new dentist but maybe all the good staff left for a reason. The ADA, IDFPR & OSHA should really take a look at this office and its staff. read more

I scheduled an appointment and I arrived at the office for my first visit. They asked for my SSN, and I explicitly told them the that I would not provide that information to them. The lady at the front desk said "OK" and I went back and had my initial visit and x-rays. My next appointment was a week later. I arrive in the office and a new lady at the front desk asks for my SSN, which I made clear that I would not provide that information. She said it was "office policy" to collect the SSN and I replied that I would not provide it, to which she replied, "have a nice day." Here is my question. If this was the office policy, then why would you let me complete my first visit and and why would you take my x-rays? Why didn't you state that during my first visit that I could not be seen if I would not provide my SSN. Additionally, why would you allow me to waste 30 minutes out of my day for my second visit, given that you would not allow me to be seen? Why not call me before my second visit and tell me not to come in, if I would not provide this information? This was a waste of my time. read more

This place is awful and they will try to scam you. I saw them this past summer and they lied to me and tried telling me I had gum disease just so they could get thousands of dollars out of me. Since then, I have seen two dentists, one of which is a longtime neighbor of mine who I trust. They both told me I DO NOT have gum disease, and that Smiles on Randall is a Medicaid office, and they don't make money on basic cleanings unless they do extra procedures. If I can give zero stars I would. Staff is ghetto. The dentist don't take time with you to do proper cleanings. They say you need more work than is truly needed e.g., deep cleanings. They mess up healthy teeth drilling them and billing for cavities that didn't need to be done and ignore cavities that truly needing fixing, so they can have you come back for more work claiming you're in pain so more work has to be done. It's 4 o'clock in the afternoon and I needed to cancel my 930 appointment for tomorrow morning basically begged the supervisor manager whoever she was advising her that I am on a fixed budget on Disability. The quality is lacking to an extreme. So they will get you in fast but at the same time what is fast if they have you come in only to tell you they can't do anything. I was extremely upset and disappointed in my cleaning. The hygienist continually invaded my space with his rear end which was my height because I was laying in the exam chair. He was extremely close, almost touching me. When he was going to polish my teeth, he couldn't get organized. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I had a filling done 2 months ago and ever since I have been having severe pain in the tooth that was filled. Went back there 3 times all kinds of X-rays and was told nothing is wrong. The only thing they wanted to do was a deep cleaning which only my insurance would pay half and they wanted another $270. I am disabled and on a fixed income. All I wanted was my tooth fixed. I called today to request an appointment to have the tooth pulled because it hurt so bad. The receptionist tells me that my insurance will not cover an extraction for 1 year from the date of the filling WHAT!!!! Well I called my insurance and explained what I was told and the service representative with my insurance stated they have never heard of such a thing and the extraction would be covered 100 percent. I asked if the prior claims have been paid and was told no. I requested that they DO NOT pay the claims as the tooth has not been fixed. Due to the inability of this practice to fix my tooth properly I plan on consulting with an attorney to explore my options. I mean who really pays attention to the decline of a dentist office? One thing that got our attention, though, was insurance catching them claiming more than they should to the tune for about 450$ for three kids on the last family visit (we got the letter from insurance stating this). That last family visit kind of sealed the deal, though. We had endured enough. From our most recent experience (today) in trying to leave this place, I believe the issue is the office manager, who I believe should really not be in a customer-facing position. She can quickly become very rude and unprofessional, and the other admin staff appear to be terrified of her. She threatened to call the police on my wife (definitely not a Karen type, if you know what I mean) in front of a room full of waiting patients when my wife called her out on being rude. I had the worst experience with Smiles on Randall and the supervisor of the office a few days ago. I had been suffering(when I say suffering I literally mean it) for about 4 days before I was able to get into a dentist. The pandemic has closed nearly every dentist so I finally found this place. They were only accepting emergency appointments and were only there on a Friday. So they got me all set up for a 1pm appointment. I was not advised of any different procedures they were taking out of the ordinary other than only doing emergency extractions. So friday comes and I make the hour drive with my 2 children still in unbearable pain. I am a single mother and didn't have anyone to watch my children (especially with the virus) or else I wouldn't of brought them as I knew it would a bit since I was having an extraction. So I get to the desk to check in and she asks me if I have someone to watch my kids..I said "no I wasn't made aware I couldn't bring them" she then points to a sign they have in the office that states due to precautions they are only allowing the patient in the room at this time. I told her that noone told me this when I made the appointment 4 days ago. They refuse to make any exceptions and tell me I need to reschedule. At this point I was extremely upset and crying.. I had been dealing with so much pain for days all I wanted was relief. So I begged, and cried while explaining the amount of pain I had been dealing with and basically threw myself at their mercy and asked if I could leave my kiddos in the waiting room for 5 mins so the doctor could at least look at my mouth and give me some antibiotics to help with the pain. They would not help me in anyway. Now what gets me the most is the fact that due to the virus I was the only patient being seen, there were a total of 3 dental assistants (that I seen) and a doctor. Not one of the assistants offered or was willing to just keep my kids company for a few mins so I could get some antibiotics. Doctors and health care workers are supposed to help you and I understand they arnt obligated to do anything of which I stated but with me being the only appointment due to the circumstances and the fact they never told me I had to come alone they absolutely could of done something to help me out..but they would not and did not. If your looking for a dentist who truly cares for your well being and having you as their patient please choose a different dental office because Smiles On Randall certainly did not care one bit. read more

Dr Eadie along with his assistant took very good care of me, as I was super nervous and basically having a break down. They calmed me, aloud me to take the time I needed, and if I was in any pain they helped immediately. With as many bad reviews as there were, I was very skeptical, but all my expectations were meant.
