So i have been here before fantastic food!!! The italian beef is my go to always. Their beef is never dry at all and when they dip it next level. The service everytime is amazing. Strip mall parking, no problem. Facing Route 59, easy to miss this place if you are not looking. (They need a larger "look" from the road) Typical fast food independent carry out / dine in, but not typical quality. Evening dinner we ordered their Gyro plate. In a word, awesome. Served hot, extremely abundant and very fresh toppings. Fries also hot and abundant. I have heard there are varying levels / quality to the gyro meat, this one appears to be high on that spectrum. Interaction at the counter was charming and friendly. Overall well kept / clean. We are in great anticipation of our next visit in order to sample other fare. Highly recommended after just one visit. I went to Smiley's today on a recommendation of a co worker on my break today. I ordered a pizza puff and small fry. When ordering the food the guy taking my order was very nice and efficient. The food came out rather quick which was perfect being I was on break from work. Food was clearly fresh out the fryer and very delicious. Price was pretty good and the small fry was more like a medium or large at most other places. The place has a good diner vibe to it and was very clean. I definitely will be coming back and seems like a very good spot to be a regular at. Definitely worth a try! read more

Very nice personnel. I ordered a Jr Cheeseburger. It had one small tomato slice with a thin thin slice of cheese. Tons of lettuce and onion on it but one of the thinnest hamburgers you could buy. Food is good, hot, and fresh. Prices are definitely higher, but such is the case everywhere.

Really disappointed. On hold for 15 mins while they waited on customers in the store. I miss Pam! So I drive to the store: the girl who left me on hold for 15 mins was rude when I went to pay. Clearly she didnt listen to my order. I asked for two gyro plates which became gyro sandwiches. The other item was a gyro burger which listed correctly. So im waiting for my food and decide to look at my receipt. I notice it's wrong, she never said sorry, and she yelled back to the guys to fix it. She struggled to fix the order and got it straightened out , finally my food comes, she wont look at me, and say you're done with a cold tone in her voice and proceeds to talk to the next customer. Ive just been told off by some 17 yr old girl who has no idea how to communicate with her customers . Unreal! I get hime and the orders were correct and the food was good as always . So , I caution customers. Food is good here but... beware of the young blond haired girl with a bad attitude. Ill add a 3rd star cause of food but no more. I am particular. The food is good but good is all you'll get. The staff is nice and friendly which is why I recommend going here. They have a HUGE menu too so be ready to look at a lot of food. I will say I've been In the area for a while and so has Smileys. I will say this. They've always been consistent. I don't think I've ever walked out and been, eh. An Absolute Plainfield town staple. This place has been here for longer than I can remember. My fav is their tacos but other items I have gotten as well here and they are really good. The nice young lady taking orders (with the cool makeup) was very kind. She definitely knew customer service and that's hard to come by nowadays. Gotta check out their specials as well. I do not recommend giving this place your business. The worker is extremely rude and disrespectful. A boy was holding the door for his brother and friend and not only did these other customers scream and swear at him for holding the door, THE OWNER screamed and SWORE at him as well. I was looking to eat something a little different. I have driven past has placed several times in the last 5 years, and thought I would give it a shot because they have gyros in the name. I was pleasantly surprised before I even walked in the door because they have the infamous Vienna Beef neon sign hanging in the window, and if I've learned anything any reputable hot dog joint in the Chicagoland area will have one of these. There is a huge menu to choose food from. If you can't find something that you like, then you are not that hungry! I ordered the gyro platter which comes with two pitas, tomatoes,and onions on the side,along with the sauce,which is excellent. It's not that homemade, or bootleg crap that some of these places try to give you. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other things I saw on the menu. Give this place a try. With both gyros and beef in their name, I had to try the place as these are two of my favorite foods. I certainly wasn't disappointed. First thing to strike me was how huge the gyros is and at a very reasonable price. Once I tasted it I was equally impressed. Sauce is plentiful and you can even order feta on the side. Next visit I tried an Italian beef and was again quite pleased. Hot peppers are an added charge, but I didn't mind since the sandwich itself was very reasonably priced. They play games when you order extras on the side. 3 times it happened that I specifically asked for extra meat on the side for my gyros and they put it on the gyros which Doesn't allow me to see the size or portion of what it looks like on the side.
