Recommended 4 root canals and 4 crowns for my 4 year old and then wanted to use a sedative on him that is not recommended for use on children without a physician's consent. I went to another dentist and they said that 4 root canals was absolutely extreme and is treating the cavities much more conservatively. read more

Amazing experience. Took my daughter in from a recommendation on how great Dr. Hame and staff is with kids and the whole experience from front office staff to the assistant cleaning your child's teeth. Was much more than just 5 stars!!! My daughter was terrified of the dentist before her visit. Dr. Hame and Sandra did such an incredible job with her she wants to go back everyday (even if it meant she would have to get more cavities just to go back lol) I highly recommend SC Dental office to all family's out there looking or needing a new dentist. If I could give this dentist a million stars I would. The Dr and his entire staff are beyond amazing. My 6 year old is terrified of the dentist and gets such bad anxiety.. we found Dr. Hames office and it changed her life. She instantly felt comfortable and trusted them. She had to have a cavity taken care of and the environment they set for her to feel comfortable and relax was amazing, she got to choose a movie to watch she got to bring her blanket and doll, they set blue lights to help her relax... What a truly wonderful dentist Dr. Hame is. He and the staff at Smiling Children's Dentistry treat your kids like they are their own. Dr. Hame is exceptionally good with kids and at communicating with parents. I felt comfortable with Dr. Hame because he took the time to outline my kids' dental issues, make a plan for treatment and then get us through the procedures step by step. His dental assistants are equally impressive with their exceptional skills in dealing with anxious kiddos and assisting Dr. Hame with procedures. This is the best experience my family has ever had at a dentistry. You feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. My daughter has Down syndrome and was treated with respect, kindness, and patience. We were referred to this dentist by another dentist to put my daughter to sleep and to fill 5 cavities. This dentist took his time to look over her teeth and determined that she did not need any cavity fixed! He did do some preventative work to protect her teeth though. Very clean office great staff everyone is super friendly my kids have anxiety and are so scared of dentist and getting work done and they were really good. My kids felt no pain at all and really put them at easy. The dentist will even walk the kids and the parents step by step of what he is doing. Highly recommend. read more

I give it a five star because my experience was great starting from the front desk very nice, my child really like the office,dentist was very nice and explain to my son everything he was going to do every instrument the dental assistant very nice as well definitely going back at least my experience was great. So glad to have found this dentist! We have Medi-cal insurance and most offices/dentists that we have gone to in the past lacked personality, human connection, and actual respect for the families in the office. This place defiantly impressed me. Firstly, the office itself is very cute and inviting with movies and games for the kids to play, as well as beautiful murals of animals that my kids enjoyed looking at. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had Ronnita (I believe was her name) as our dental assistant and she was very kind and caring towards my kids, and just a joy to be around. Dr. Hame was great with the kids and very personable to talk with as well. He went over several options with me in regards to the kids dental care and didn't make it feel like a "one size fits all" situation and I'm grateful for that. We will continue to come to this office for our children's dental needs! We are happy to have found it. read more

I've never been a person to write a review but I feel the need to now. This place is by far the best pediatric dentist I've been to and I've been to a few. The staff is so caring and so sweet. Dr hame is AMAZING, he not only makes you feel comfortable but makes your child feel comfortable. When it's time for your appointment, he really makes you feel heard and important. He takes his time and explains everything you need to know. He is so patient with my kids and reassures them constantly. I could go on forever but you have to see for yourself. He's a very nice man.. He makes the kids feel comfortable and he talks to them the whole time that he's working in there teeth..There's a game room to make the kids feel more comfortable.. My son actually enjoys going to the Dentist..The lady's in the office are nice as well.. read more

This place I'd give -5 stars! How do you make a kid wait 40 minutes with an appointment just to be seated in the back room. Then wait another 45-60 min just to get an exam. My kid is pretty good, but for a young kid to have to wait this long is ridiculous. It's not like it's an emergency and you are fitting me in. Plus if I didn't ask how much longer, I'd probably be waiting even longer. The first apt they said they tried to take xrays...didn't even try. The second apt. All they did was take 2 X-rays and brushed with a toothbrush for 1 min. If that. So why am I waiting 1-1.5 hrs for a 15-20 min apt???? Horrible!!! I'll never be back!!!! read more

Let me start off by saying I do not write reviews, but after visiting Dr. Hame's office, the first thing I wanted to do was get on yelp and write a review. Dr. Hame and his team were absolutely AMAZING. I have struggled in finding my daughter a pediatric dentist that I love, trust, and that care about the well being of their patients, and I have found all of that and more with Smiling Children Dentistry. They are incredibly kind, professional, and most importantly caring. For the first time, my daughter was happy walking out of the dentist office and I can not thank Dr. Hame (both he and his wife) for giving my daughter the comfort and trust she has needed when it comes to dental visits and treatment. I can't even put in to words what a great experience we had with Dr. Hame (but I'm going to try anyway)! My 6 year old son gets severe anxiety going to dentists. We have been to 3 other dentists to try and get his root canal and crown completed, but he gets so stressed out, the last dentist recommended general anesthesia for it. We did NOT want to do that, and fortunately found Dr. Hame. He was patient, understanding, and absolutely AMAZING with my son! He came up with his treatment plan, his office scheduled it quickly, and my son was comfortable and calm in the chair THE ENTIRE TIME! His visits at other offices had been so stressful, I literally wanted to cry and hug Dr. Hame for making it such an easy procedure. His office is beautiful, his staff is FANTASTIC, and he is the best pediatric dentist we've ever met (and we're a blended family with 6 kids, so we've met a lot of dentists!). I'd give 10 stars if I could. We highly recommend them! read more

This place is great we loved our visit Dr hame and his back office assistant are amazing and one of the girls at fron that i can't remember her name but they have a front desk girl that is really RUDE her name is Angela. She helped someone in front of me and she was somehow nice but to me she was rude all the time. I heard her saying to the girl on the back that i was rude and im glad the back office girl didn't care because she is a sweetheart. Im hoping Dr Hame does something about it otherwise he is going to lose business having people like her. read more

I can't say enough about this dental office. The staff is wonderful and the doctor is amazing. He is so good at what he does. Quality dental work. I have 4 children and all of them come here. They have done everything from sealants to crowns on my children and never once have my children said they had any discomfort. I would recommend this dental office to anyone.
