He'd been putting off going to our regular dentist in Gibsonville - some history on her first - because a couple of years ago that dentist began telling me she wanted to drill out my old fillings and redo them because she 'didn't like the way they looked". She did this on one of my old fillings at that time and that same tooth cracked shortly afterwards while I was eating granola and I had to get a crown. In my opinion I believe she was just trying to find a way to spend our money. The last time I went to her (after the aforementioned crown) she wanted to do another old filling and I said No, the tooth is not bothering me so leave it alone. Neither myself nor my husband have been back to her since. With that being said - fast forward to about a week ago and my husband's tooth was really bothering him. We have dental insurance so I went online to see who accepted it locally. Found Anne Elizabeth Dentistry and so glad we did!! We were driving by and went in to make an appointment and they were able to work him in that day, which was nice because he had to go out of town the day after. Everyone at the office was extremely pleasant, courteous and professional! When he came out, my husband said the dentist (Cohbram I believe was her name) was really nice. They discovered he needed a root canal and recommended Dr, Jepko (who I have seen before and is hands down the best Dr for this procedure!!) do that procedure and then he;d come back to them for a crown. The dentist also prescribed an antibiotic for some inflammation he had around the root. Husband had the root canal about 5 days ago and now we'll be scheduling the crown with Anne Elizabeth Dentistry. I will also be switching to them as well because I was very impressed with everyone in the office. Not sure why they had so many bad reviews, but I notice those were years ago and maybe they are so awesome now because there are new employees. If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend them! :)

The staff has been aware for 6+ months regarding my knee replacement. I get a phone day 1 day prior to my dental cleaning stating that I need medical clearance prior to my appointment and no one from Duke has responded after several attempts. I informed the Office Manager how did they contact my surgeon's office when no one asked me for the surgeon's name. Instead of owing up to their dysfunction, the Office Manager made up every excuse instead of acknowledging that they handled the situation inappropriately. The Office Manager and staff keep reiterating that we tried to leave a voice message, but your box was full! That is not the truth because I clear my messages every day. The Spectrum tech person just confirmed that my voicemail box was empty. Last, is it professional to raise her voice at patient? I told Bailey that she was raising her voice while talking to me. I will be picking up my records tomorrow and find a professional dental office. I prefer going to a practice that has an office staff who exhibits customer friendly behaviors even in the face of mistakes.

I provided my insurance card and all the necessary information, yet I had to repeatedly go back and forth with the staff member responsible for insurance verification because my coverage was not being entered correctly. It appeared that outdated information was being pulled instead of using the member ID and information I had provided, creating a frustrating and unnecessary delay in the process. After finally getting the insurance information sorted out, I completed a comprehensive evaluation and imaging. Based on the information provided by the office, I was presented with a treatment plan and an estimated out-of-pocket cost. Relying on that information, I proceeded with the first phase of treatment. When I returned for the second phase of treatment, I was informed that I would owe significantly more than what I had originally been told. Naturally, I questioned the discrepancy. The response I received was, "That was just an estimate." While I understand that insurance estimates are not guarantees, that explanation felt dismissive. Every document the office provided--including the updated payment document I was handed that day--clearly stated "estimate." If patients are expected to rely on these estimates to make treatment decisions and budget accordingly, then the estimates should be as accurate as possible, especially after insurance information has supposedly been verified. My frustration is not simply about paying more. It's about the lack of accountability and transparency. When there are insurance verification issues from the start and then patients are later faced with unexpected costs, it undermines confidence in the billing process. Patients deserve clear communication, accurate insurance verification, and realistic expectations regarding their financial responsibility before treatment begins. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope the office takes steps to improve its insurance and billing practices so that future patients are not left feeling blindsided by unexpected charges. I am Zheng Li, a 60-year-old immigrant woman living alone in the U.S. My son has been deployed to the Middle East, so I have no family support here. My English is limited, and I rely on help to communicate. On July 18, 2025, I went to this clinic for severe tooth pain. I asked if they accepted my insurance, and they said yes. After the exam, they took a $267 deposit and scheduled my next visit for August 5. When I came back, I asked again about my insurance coverage. Only then did they admit they are not in-network with my insurance -- something they never told me before. If I had known, I would never have paid or agreed to treatment. I asked for a refund, but they initially refused. Later, an administrator named Elizabeth promised if the costs were too high, I would get a full refund. But my insurance showed I owe $1,077, not the $419.20 the clinic said. I emailed on October 3, called twice in September and October, but received no response or callback. They have ignored me completely. I have been living with pain from July to October, unable to get proper treatment because they are holding my deposit hostage. As a woman alone with no family support and limited English, this has been an incredibly painful and isolating experience. I feel disrespected, misled, and deeply hurt by their dishonest and unprofessional behavior.
