Curtis and his guys did some landscape touch-ups and a patio cover for us and they did a great job. My picky husband wouldn't accept anything but perfection and it is beautiful. I wanted a covered patio but it's a much heavier load to bear on the roof. So we settled for 1/2 covered 1/2 shade bar and I'm very happy with it. It really finishes the back yard nicely. We have completely re-landscaped 4 properties over the years, and found our experience with Smith Landscape, and especially Curtis, as one of the best. About four years ago, Smith Landscape and Maintenance did a complete remodel of our back yard, complete with slate patio, built-in BBQ, fire pit, storage cabinets and housing for our powered pool cover. Recently we discovered a natural gas leak on the line that runs from our house to the BBQ and fire pit, so we called owner Brian Smith. He was immediately concerned and said they'd do something about it. He has passed the business along to his son Curtis since doing our project, so it was Curtis who helped us. The Smith Landscape and Maintenance crew completely rerouted two gas lines, one from the house to the BBQ and a second one from our pool heater's gas line to the fire pit, a total of three days work at NO CHARGE to us whatsoever. In doing the work, they had to remove and replace lawn sprinkler pipes and a set of yard lights. I'm always worried when contractors mess with stuff that's already in place; they often wind up damaging it. But in this case, the equipment was replaced in perfect working condition (they went over it with us to check and correct any problems...we had one bulb that had burned out, not their fault). We've had several remodeling jobs done over the past few years, and frankly we'd become discouraged at the lack of quality and responsibility we got from the contractors and their subs. It seemed to be simply a matter of doing as little as possible and collecting as much money as possible. So it was refreshing and somewhat restored our faith in human nature when the Smiths took complete responsibility for their work without question and with a pleasant can-do attitude! Over a period of several months, Curtis patiently worked with us as we refined the landscape design which included a new retaining wall, drainage and sprinkler system, stamped concrete patio, lawn area and gardens.
