The tank that was there was way too big, but instead of just replacing it with the same size, he recommended a smaller tank that would fit the number of people living in the condo. My mother was very happy with the work and is glad she has someone she can trust for any future work.

I am writing this review because I do not want other homeowners to go through what I have been…read moregoing through with a boiler that Wilson Brothers installed new in my home on September 15, 2021. On January 10, 2026, I called Wilson Brothers to report that I had no heat. Their first service visit was on January 12, 2026, followed by several additional visits over the next several weeks. The service involved issues with the flame sensor, burner control module and control board. On January 27, the technician spent approximately 45 minutes trying to reach technical support because he was unable to connect the burner control. During another visit, additional time was spent trying to reach technical support regarding the control board. I was extremely frustrated with how long it was taking to get my boiler properly working. February 9, 2026 was the last time Wilson Brothers came to my home. After that, I had reached the point where I no longer had confidence in the situation and decided to have another heating company diagnose the boiler. On April 22, 2026, another heating company came to my home and performed a diagnostic inspection. I paid $325 for that service. They provided me with a detailed written report explaining what they found. Their written report stated that the boiler system was improperly programmed and that the circuit board had been incorrectly configured by the previous service provider. The report also stated that the heating curve was set at 1.6 and that they increased it to 2.2 to allow the boiler to better respond to the home's heating needs. I was very pleased with this company's work. However, their cost was more than I could afford for another inspection, so on August 25, 2026, I hired another reputable and more affordable heating company to inspect the boiler. I was also very satisfied with their work. During that inspection, they found a broken burner gasket and burner gauge assembly. I am currently waiting to find out whether these parts will be covered under the warranty. This boiler was new when Wilson Brothers installed it in 2021, and the five-year warranty expires September 15, 2026. Nearly five years after installation, I am still dealing with problems with this boiler. I have spent a considerable amount of time, money and frustration trying to get a heating system that I expected to work reliably. I repeatedly contacted Wilson Brothers trying to get answers and have the problems resolved. Unfortunately, I ultimately reached the point where I no longer felt comfortable relying on them and had to bring in other heating professionals to determine what was happening with my boiler. I am posting this review because I believe homeowners deserve to know about my experience before making a decision about who they trust with a major heating system. I sincerely hope that sharing my experience prevents someone else from going through what I am still dealing with.

From the start when he sent me a calendar meeting invite for the initial consultation, I knew I was dealing with a professional. Simon and his assistant, Nic, replaced a poorly installed Navien combi boiler that controls our heat and hot water when it suddenly died in the middle of winter. We'd had recurring problems with it because of the poor installation. It was a lot of work to replace, and he and Nic worked diligently to get the job done so we could have our heat and hot water back on as soon as possible. Simon installed a newer model Navien combi boiler that is much quieter and has several new features. He also added several redundant valve shut offs to make future servicing of the system as easy as possible to keep it running efficiently. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, and why each of the components were necessary and what they did, sending links from the manufacturers so I could feel comfortable with his suggestions. He was thorough and careful in planning the system as a whole. When a stubborn problem arose with one of the components, he followed every lead to make sure it was adjusted properly. After the job was finished, Simon was diligent in making sure that the system was tested properly and that all the valves were labeled so that we knew where the gas and water shut offs were in case we needed to shut off the system in an emergency. He had a city inspector come in to approve the work, so you know he had installed everything according to code. It was approved on the spot with no problems. I can't say that I've ever had this good of an experience hiring a contractor to work in my home before. He and Nic were respectful, professional, and considerate. They put drop cloths down where they worked and cleaned up the space afterward. Every evening, they would make arrangements for what time they would each be arriving the next morning, and they were always on time and stayed into the evening some days. I wish I could hire them for every job needed around our house!

Poor quality work caused sewage leak in basement…read more Ryan Plumbing installed all new plumbing for a new 2nd bathroom in our house. 1 year after the project was complete the newly installed PVC pipe for the waste line fell out of an elbow joint and dumped waste into our basement. I called Jeff Ryan to repair it because I was hoping he would take ownership of his work. We talked about why it happened and he said that the overlap of the pipe within the elbow joint had only been half of what was needed (0.75 inch vs 1.5 inch). He apologized and did not charge for the repair. However, a couple of days later when I asked Jeff to pay for the $1,600 cleanup cost, he fabricated a new story about the problem being caused by a clog and not his quality of work.
