This is my neighborhood Vons and I love it as it's a quick stop to get groceries or something that is needed quickly. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the girl that works in Deli (Jessica W) There has been a handful of times I'm waiting to be helped and she sees my standing there and either acts like she doesn't see me to not help me or says something rude under her breath as she walks up to me to help. Listen if you hate your job that much go find another job because the last thing I want is be called something under someone's breath just because I'm waiting to be attended too. read more

Please be informed that this coupon system is deeply flawed and seems to change frequently or the people instructing us to have a different story, this is so dysfunctional. It's also time consuming and it feels tricky, like a baiting switch where you go for the sale item and then it's so painful to get the coupon you say never mind, I just pay the full price to get out of the line or the store, super annoying, reoccurred frequently. I think I've learned my lesson. Can't recommend this store. There are some good points, but they're overshadowed by all the time-consuming frustrating, dysfunctional administration technicalities regarding the digital coupons. The discrepancies are so often and then when you bring it up to the team member they give you this pain to look like if you did something wrong, feels you're asking them to do something unreasonable. This is my go to neighborhood Vons. It can get busy at times but it's pretty spacious. I always get all of my seafood salad ingredients from here. Applewood bacon is my absolute favorite. Butcher is very friendly here. Cake selections and prices are great at the bakery area. Cake decoration is pretty and taste even better! I always noticed while bagger packs my grocery there's slot machines near the exit. That's how I get a nudge that I live in NV lol :D read more

I've noticed the last few times I've been there to try and buy a fruit tray, none of the trays or cups are looking fresh, even though their pack date is that day or within two days before and all of them show, they still have a few days to use by. Today, I looked through and found 3 small packs, a cantaloupe, a honeydew, and a mango. I was taking them to a birthday party. When I got there and opened up the cantaloupe, I took one bite and threw out the whole tray. It was horrible, sour, spoiled. The mango was not ripe. The honeydew was the only one salvageable. I don't know why they're spoiled when the dates still say they are good. Maybe they're leaving them out for hours and not refrigerating them? Anthem Vons 9/17/2026 1230nhours VONS has a constant problem with not putting their deals in their system. They over charged me 19.45 today. I had to tell the customer service person this is a constant problem. Ice cream bars advertised for $3.49 and I got 4 boxes which rang up to $25.43. Not the advertised price. The grapes I bought were advertised for .97 per pound up to 5 lbs. I got 4.25 lbs and they charged $12.49. Again, sales price not given at the register and had to catch the mistake and got another refund. Albertson's is the same way. Legalized theft on a regular basis. Please check your receipts. Again the customer person said someone forgot to enter the sales price. What a rip off! read more

I am usually a Boulder City Albertsons customer. Two weeks ago, I stopped at Von's on my way home. When I unpacked my groceries, there seemed to be an error in my checkout receipt. I called and spoke with LORI who said something was indeed incorrect. She said not to worry, come to the store and she'll fix it. I didn't worry. I came to the store, and she fixed it. What a nice, friendly, cheerful, young woman. I'll bet she has a lot of friends because you just can't not like her. read more

I usually stop by the wing bar and grab some wings to take home, but more than once I've gotten wings that are clearly not fresh. The taste and texture let you know they've either been sitting out too long or are being reused from previous days. Because of that, I now try to sample one before buying I'm not about to keep spending $20-$30 on wings that are dry, stale, or overcooked. Today, a worker told me I "can't do that," and honestly, I disagree. I'm the one spending my money and I have a right to make sure I'm buying fresh food. No one wants food that's been sitting out all day, and it's not fair to customers to serve wings that aren't up to standard. If you're going to charge premium prices, then serve premium quality. I frequently grocery shop here, not because it's cheap but because it's close to home. They recently redid the floor inside and added a bunch of doors to some refrigerated sections and it looks a lot nicer. They also added a larger self checkout section. It's easy to get in and out. This vons doesn't always have the best variety of foods but one can generally find what they're looking for. Although, they have not had the gum I like for probably near 6 months now, such a shame. Produce and meats usually have a good selection but occasionally they'll have the off day when they're completely out of chicken thighs. read more

This for sure isn't a location I have ever been to & normally to go to but I was looking for some Crook & Marker spiked sparkling drinks (C&M). My man works for Budweiser & stocks this store & had been @ Albertson's earlier the other day down on Boulder & told me they had them there so after work (Albertson's is close by) I stopped by looking for C&M and they didn't have any. I called him up to check with him where they were located and I was in the cooler where he had seen them, so I assumed they must of sold out. He mentioned to me that the Von's up the street (this location) had them too so I took a hike up to here hoping to find them. Well I was super excited when I found 3 boxes of them AND they were on sale!! Double score!! Since I had been looking for these last week as one of my friend's had them one day when we went boating & let me have a couple and I really liked them. I was looking @ the Albertson's, Smith's & Walmart Neighborhood near my house. Also I had gone to Lake Havasu last weekend & was looking in a few gas stations along the way & couldn't find them. No luck what so ever. So I did feel a little bad to buy the only 3 boxes they had but after all the hunting for them I didn't want to have to go through that again for awhile. So this is a grocery store. What can you really say about grocery stores? Pretty much the same & nothing special. It's Von's. Looked like all the other Von's I've been in before. The store was clean, shelves stocked, clean bathrooms and of course high prices on most items but I feel these stores do charge more for their items. I was looking for some Whisps cheese crackers & couldn't find them. I used the self check-out so I was in & out quickly. Parking lot looked clean & there was a girl standing by the shopping carts who had been cleaning them so customers could have a disinfected cart. I looked up to her to say hi to her since she never said hi to me but she was too busy with her head down & on her cell phone. I'd definitely come to this location again when I run out of my C&M if I can't find it anywhere else but it would have to be after work since it's a little hike from where I live. read more

So, to start, I won't lie, being a disabled person and an eccentric, Vons and I have had our fair share of disagreements over the years. At the end of the day though, this is Our Neighbourhood Grocery store and I for one Salute Them. I respect them the best I can, and They are Respectful to me Despite having to work for One of The WORST Corporations in Our Country, The United States of America. I appreciate them for bearing through the mediocrity of this Terrible Corporation, and it reminds me of Fonder Days ABROAD when I had to see FAR Worse than this. I appreciate each and every member of the team, and I don't always have my best of days either, and despite this, We always tolerate one another and maintain the finest of respect and kindness. I just don't like that more often than not I am packing my own groceries. Yet i see employees kinda roaming around. Not sure if it's a grocers union or what the deal is. The days of a bagger/assistance and "do you need help out" seem to have left the stores culture. Especially hard for people who have spine issues. This is more of an observation. Von's does not honor miliary id's as valid forms of ID. I ordered four $500 money orders at Customer Service and gave them $2k in cash. They asked for two forms of ID including asking for a passport and my social security number. They did not honor my military retired ID. (Keep in mind the people in line ahead of me returned a toilet plunger with no receipt and received a full refund). I was told the procedure was mandatory for such a large amount. They could have broken the transactions separately to avoid the government control. Instead, Von's opted to be a poop-chute for government regulations (?). Never using Von's again though I live 3 blocks away. read more

One of the fewer greater Vons locations in Henderson. I shopped here several times when i lived in Las Vegas. Neighborhood might look sketchy at first. I made a delivery order of a few items and was given a delivery time of 0800-1000 hours. The order keeps getting delayed and delayed. Customer service offered to refund delivery fee (how kind)... every time I checked for a status update, their automated system kept adding to the delivery time. The irony is there is a Von's 2 miles from my house, but they opted to deliver from one across town. If Von's wants to offer delivery services, they need to get their act together. I shop at this Vons consistently, at the very least once a week. The cashiers are wonderful and friendly, which is not something I usually say about any supermarket, ever. The bakery staff are also helpful and friendly with customers. The deli is a long wait, but so is every other supermarket deli I have ever been to, and I just avoid shopping there unless I really want a sandwich or some chicken. Granted, right now with COVID-19 going on, the lines are long, but that's expected. I do my shopping with plenty of patience and understanding. After all, it's not the cashier or the managers fault that illogical and selfish hoarders have emptied the shelves. The one department at this store that I consistently have a problem with is the meat department- particularly whatever butchers are attending the counter that day. All of them are rude and display poor customer service. It appears they love stating policies that they can't back up. I had one meat department employee state a policy and point behind him, at literally nothing. It leaves me with little desire to order from the meat counter, but with a large family to feed and their selection occasionally lacking in the fridges, I am forced to interact with them. It seems the meat department employees are so delusional that they think that the new limit rules for meat, due to COVID-19 and the aforementioned hoarders, gives them license to treat people worse than delinquents. I have experienced this on multiple occasions and more than once I have stopped mid-shopping trip to find a manager and report them. In short- this Von's meat department employees need coaching and some serious lessons in good manners. read more

We are writing this letter to share our recent harassment and unprofessionalism with a cashier employee at the Vons 45 E. Horizon Ridge store in Henderson, NV. For several years now, we have been working under several different grocery shopping apps, including one where we are able to obtain our own clients and set our own rates. We have shopped thousands of orders at Vons and Albertsons with no previous issue. Over the past few months, we have noticed an employee who has been making a blatant and conscious effort to run to our self checkout to stand right next to it to watch us while invading our personal space. Too close for COVID. Mind you, at the time there are many other customers checking out and in need of help, but she is intent at staring at our cart and screen. As items are rung up with the hand scanner, she watches back and forth for each item in the cart, then on the screen. She even stands there long enough to make sure we pay for the items. This happens every single time without fail. She would even do it while we were shopping for ourselves. On the first few times, we would laugh and joke about it and wonder if maybe they were told to make sure that grocery shoppers were not making mistakes. As time went on and we did not once see her do this once to any other shoppers or customers and it started to feel like we were singled out. She also did not engage in any type of greeting or conversation with us, which we do not need her to do to do our job, but it shows the different treatment we have received from day one. There were a few times we tried to say "Thank you," to her, but it didn't help and she would never respond, so we gave up. The time previous to the incident on 3/10/22, it was very, very uncomfortable because of her urgency and how close she had gotten and ignoring other customers. Since the self-checkout registers have been moved it's become even more obvious as we'd gravitate to the first or last registers. She will do a run/walk to get there. This were getting progressively worse and more blatant. Most recently, the dates we worked were 3/5, 3/7, 3/8, 3/9, and 3/10 we worked this store this week after 5:00 p.m. Still, we brushed it off without saying anything to anyone not even her. 3/5/22, was an especially bad time. On 3/10/22, at 4:50 p.m. we received an order from Vons for four items. There was another person working in the self checkout. We saw this employee run from her checkout stand, number six, to tell the employee that she needs to "watch us" and pointed to us. The other employee says, "Who?" and she points to us again. This now shows that she is specifically targeting us. We then deliver our order and came back to the store to speak to the supervisor. As we walked through the door headed to the customer service desk she then made a comment to the self checkout employee right in front of us that we were back again trying to "warn" her that we were there to watch us and that "Wow, they look familiar," while laughing. We spoke to the supervisor hoping this would be the end of it. We received another order at 6:15 p.m. and as soon as we walk to the checkout she comes right up to us trying to talk to us saying she had been talked to by the Store Director, Joe and that she "didn't realize she was doing that." She told us we didn't need to talk to him. I had no intention of speaking to her unless I needed some help with the checkout and I did not expect her to speak to me either. She tried to manipulate and intimidate us by telling us that she had already been talked to implying there is nothing that is going to be done. She's trying to force us into the checkout when I told her I'm waiting for a few seconds for the customer to respond. She keeps talking and talking so I ask her, "Why, why are you doing this to us? What's the problem? What are we doing that makes you think that you need to do that to us? Do you think we're stealing? Do you realize we get paid for each item we ring up as well as a percentage? We miss something and we lose money." She says that she didn't know she was doing it. I'm wondering what we are doing that makes her think we are doing something wrong. I ask her to tell me so I know and depending on what it is I could make changes. She could not answer. "Well, unless you can give me another reason, any reason, the only conclusion I can come to is that you are racially profiling my husband and you are a racist." Even though it's the same company, walking into the Albertson's just down the street is a more culturally competent store. Was diversity and inclusivity training not provided at this store? Shopping while black is a civil rights issue and are terms all your employees should be familiar with. Do better, Vons. read more

As I mentioned in previous review, never fails they have EXPIRED or near expiration dated goods on the shelves. This time around though it was was pretty bad. Out of the 6 grocery items Mr B. just brought home, 3 items need to be returned. The hot dogs had expiration date of July 10th, the buns had specks of mold and the cream cheese had expiration of March /17! That's dairy products THREE months past and it's still on shelves? Horrible prices (cat litter is more expensive here than anywhere else), horrible customer service (I couldn't get the Vons app to download so I took a picture with my phone for the checker who made me go through the drill of showing her the app wouldn't download with 5 people in line behind me), horrible smelling store (always smells like backed up sewer lines and rotting garbage the minute you walk in the store), horrible plan-o-grams (quit moving things around it's annoying) which equals horrible management. If you want to see procrastination in action, come to this pharmacy. I always give our healthcare workers the benefit of the doubt especially in times like Covid. However this pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous. My boyfriend is there at least 3 times a month for his regular prescriptions and without failure, they NEVER have his ready. Even after he gets a call or text saying your RX is ready, he shows up and it's another hour wait. Now they did the same thing to me when im in significant bladder pain, my urgent care provider sent over the script the night before I showed up and still 30 min wait.. WITH NO OTHER PATIENTS TO BE SEEN. Get your Sh@t together Vons Pharmacy, you're in a professional healthcare service yet you act like a couple of kids running an ice cream shop. read more
