    Philly cheesesteak with onion rings
    Diana L.

My boyfriend and I came for our first movie date! Reserving seats/tickets online was a super easy process, as well as picking up our tickets from the counter. Don't forget to check in on Yelp as they have a free popcorn offer (or did at the time of this review). The nachos were fresh and crispy, and the Buffalo chicken was a yummy addition, though it could have used a lil more chicken for the price. I got the Philly cheesesteak and he got the steak tips. Both were tender and well flavored, though a bit heavy on the oils. There was room on the sub for a bit more cheesesteak, but still good overall. I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of fries and onion rings. The fries are just as I prefer, a lil on the thicker side so they have both a crunch and soft inside. Tim was an attentive server, and it was a great first movie experience. It was super fun to be able to go and play some games at the arcade before and after the movie too!

Smittys titties- "Let spiderman go anthony from smosh" Me and my friend said as we plotted seeing the spiderman movie. This place is got everything. It's like a gentlemen club but for everyone and no unholy women. Ambience was cool, ticket price was fair. We didn't want to get any food because it was Hella expensive. Like I gotta go talk to smitty myself because fuck paying 5 bucks for a small soda. They had a small arcade and apparently a bowling ally which was interesting. We headass walked into the theater without needing to show proof of buying tickets so like yall need to get on that shit. You should have a spot to show tickets because we didn't.

"Double order" of chicken tenders for $20

We went here for Rockstar Bingo, my first time at Smitty's in probably 15 years. The new (to me) location has an arcade, which we didn't have time to check out but it seemed as we walked by to have quite a bit of fun stuff in there. The girl at the counter was friendly, she scanned our entry barcode and sent us on our way to theater 5. Upon entering the theater, I noticed that there were 3 different types of seats. There were stadium seats in the back, office type chairs at tables in the center and recliners with small trays to slide in front of you in the front. We were in the recliner seats, they were comfortable enough, my only complaint is that the seats sunk in so low that it was almost impossible to comfortably eat anything off the tray that wasn't finger food. Within a few minutes of getting settled into our seats, our waiter came to get our drink order ($4.99 for a fountain soda), and then he came back for our food order. We decided on the Love Me Tenders (chicken tenders movie themed) and asked for a double order for an additional $6.99 so that we could share, they came with fries and we also ordered a basket of onion rings. The other two in our party both got the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries. When our food came to our seats, we were shocked to see that the "double order" of chicken tenders was 5 normal sized tenders and one mini sized one hiding under the fries. For $20, I expected a little more than just 5 tenders and a small fry. The onion rings were quite good, maybe a little over cooked for some people but I did enjoy them. They also charge $1.99 for sauce to dip your tenders, one dipping cup is about the size of a table spoon. The Buffalo chicken wraps were a hit with our friends. We tried the waffle fries and they were seasoned perfectly and delightfully crispy. Rockstar Bingo was fun but extremely drawn out, the host would play almost an entire song before moving on to the next, we were there 2 hours and only played 3 rounds. Probably won't ever go back for bingo or a movie/meal. Way over priced for the quality of food they serve. Our bill ended up being just shy of $50 for 2 drinks, chicken tenders, fries and onion rings.

First off the food is absolutely over priced great service but for what you pay you can have a better meal at Chili's, 99s, Applebee's my Quesadilla was $9.99 +$3.99 for steak grilled cheese was so blah didn't even blame my daughter for not eating it and there was twice as much breading on the chicken than there was chicken this would get no stars if it was just the food the arcade is awesome my daughter loves it and the movies are always a thrill the bowling is also a local favorite I'll be going back but definitely not for the food

Can't beat smitty"s cinema when going out on a date night or as a family. Food and drinks are good. Arcade and bowling is amazing.

Earlier this week I went to Smitty's for a movie date. This was my first time at their new location in Sanford. I didn't think it would be very big inside, but was I dead wrong. The movie theaters are set up wonderfully, huge improvement over the old location. We sat at the area where the table was in front of us, as well as the movie screen. This was fantastic! The theater was super clean as well. The staff all around was very friendly and gave us the best service! The food was even better than I remember. Delicious! After our meal and movie, we went into their game lab area which has a bowling alley, and a arcade. We had so much fun in the arcade playing games. It felt like being a teenager again! I will be returning to go bowling! Great fun! It was the perfect spot for a date!

Skee-Ball + the claw machine will leave you wanting more & more tries! GameLAB is connected to Smitty's legendary dine-in movie theater -- where you can feast on an entire chicken dinner while watching one of today's top flicks. The atmosphere at GameLAB is electric & loud (like, very loud -- so fyi, if you hate noise). Flashing lights, kids running amuck & the sound of laughter will surround your being. GameLAB has bowling! A restaurant! A big ole bar! And prizes! We ordered wings & beer & a buffalo chicken wrap w/ fries -- all of which were comforting & executed to dining satisfaction. I ate all of my fries. Oops, burp. I didn't try a slice, but their pizza looked amazing too -- the pie had favorable elements on it like cheese & a crust. Iconic. Waitstaff was friendly. I liked them. The worker then goes on to be extremely rude about the whole situation and implied that me and my friends (teen girls) were spending our "daddy's" money and not ours, while refunding us. Another thing is we ran into family friends and started talking to them while waiting for a refund, then the worker went on to say "that we were trying to find a random adult to sneak in" and again gave us a very disrespectful tone and choice of words. It was extremely unnecessary and quite rude. I would not suggest going there if you want to have an enjoyable experience at the movies. Personally this rule of turning people away because of they are of underage for a MOVIE is just weird, there is no reason. If someone is wanting to go see a movie for a fun night out with friends and is turned away because they are underage it makes no sense, especially if they WANT to go! Another thing is that me and my freinds are juniors in high school! you are telling me that three juniors are not able to see a scary movie.. that's just so strange. Regal get new employees because you are loosing business fast. I know if wont be going back anytime soon.

But, I'll echo what a couple other folks have said already: PRO: $20 for a double feature for a whole carload of people is unbeatable! CON: We were in a Honda HRV (not a huge SUV) and tried to park in the third row where other vehicles our size were parked. A man came (literally) running after us to tell us we needed to move back a row because we were "too big." The fourth row was almost exclusively enormous pickup trucks. Fortunately, the ground in the fourth row had a bit of a bump, so we were able to position our vehicle on an incline and it offered fantastic views of the screen. Also, people weren't parking near the outdated microphone stands (which are spaced out for a reason), and instead we had someone park (their mega truck) so close to us that we couldn't even open our passenger door. Sooo... just a heads-up regarding where/how you park your vehicle.

Saco Drive-In does a double feature presentation where you can come early to grab a spot via your vehicle, or you can come during the second half to watch the second movie. It is only $20/vehicle for TWO movies! You can bring your own food and drinks or you can grab something from the concession stands in the back. How it works: Park your car not too close, as you'll be struggling to see the movie from within. Turn off your engine by setting your car to ACC, as you'll have to use your radio to listen to the movie. The screen will provide you with the radio station to tune into. Turn off your headlights, and get ready to watch the movie! The awesome thing about drive-ins in Maine besides all the cost-efficient amenities, is you can enjoy your movie in the cool breeze, no humidity included. Don't forget the bug spray!

Picture quality is good, though there was a smudge on the screen that I kept noticing. The entrance felt a bit disheveled. There wasn't even anyone there to scan my ticket (I bought one online, I promise). You're a sucker and deserve stale popcorn and overpriced snacks if you still buy concessions at a theatre.

The projector wasn't working for the pre-show stuff, which made me nervous enough to go ask the staff about it as the show was about to start. The projector started for the previews and the movie. I wish we hadn't gotten horror movie previews, though, just because it was a Stephen King movie. I noticed it a while back; this place was definitely loved hard over the past decade plus, so it's nice to see these upgrades! This is still my go-to theater: 1) I like the ease of choosing my seat and ordering my ticket online ahead of time. We've never had an issue or glitch with this. We just show up, use the little machine to scan our barcode, and it's as easy as that. 2) I like the annual Premium Popcorn Pail deal (even if the bucket is 20% smaller than it used to be). We always trade ours in at the end of the year/beginning of the new year for some kind of genuinely decent promotional deal. On average, throughout the year of using it it seems it costs us anywhere between $11 and $17 to get it filled and get one large soda (that we could get unlimited refills on if we could be bothered to leave the theater). 3) The "luxury power recliners" themselves are, for me at least, bigger and more comfortable than some of the couches I've owned. I crawl into my seat, hit the button, up go my feet, back goes my upper half, and I'm immersed in a cloud of comfort (without annoying anyone the way this same action does on a plane). And they're SPACIOUS: I can have my jacket in my seat next to me, my purse, my food... and there's still room. 4) I like that they show old movies!!! TAKE MY MONEY, I want to see Jaws here every summer. 5) FREE movie on your birthday (all you need is your ID to prove it's your big day)! Admittedly, during really busy times, it could use some additional TLC: 1) The soda area can get quite wet and sticky. 2) The bathroom trash bins are often overflowing (and actually, I think that's on you, future customer. Can you please just kind of push your towel down into the bin instead of laying it on top of it?). 3) Why are the bathroom stalls SMALLER than airplane bathrooms? I'm a small person, and I still have to contort my body to close the door. Still, it's comfortable and (mostly) clean and the staff working here can be really charming and goofy and I love that because THAT'S what a movie theater staff should be.
