I was expecting a whole lot more to this place and instead I got a dinner that I really didn't like. This place is small and if you have a really big party it will feel a little bit cramped. If you have at least more than 10 people for your group, I wouldn't see where you would fit in here. We were a party of 7 and our table was suppose to fit about 5 people not 7 so I felt very cramped and not liking it at all. For starters we had the crab cakes and they tasted like a deep fried ball of crab which I didn't really want it to be. The bread was nice and warm and the butter though, was rock hard ! Why would you do that?? My meal was pot roast stroganoff and it had a lot of pieces of just pure fat and no meat on the pot roast pieces. I was very bummed out about that part. I tried my friends meals which was rib eye and that tasted pretty well. The mashed potatoes is ok a little bit plain but not amazing in anyway. To me, everything tasted not that great and not amazing. But I am willing to give it another try and come in on another day to try something else. Maybe there are things on this paper menu that is actually really good. They do have a big wine selection list the only thing is, it is very hard to read, because it is in small 8 point font ! I felt way too underdressed to be here, but the wife & I already agreed of the meeting place. We vowed to come back at a later date & make a dinner visit. Because she was the only bartender at hand, serving patrons at the bar, getting slammed with drink orders & a several green beer mishaps (not her fault), was unfazed, calm & all the while smiling...even when the servers seemed impatient & irritated (HEY! Como se dice... BOMB-ASS MEAT en espanol? Because not even the priciest prostitute could handle the meat this place is packing! Smitty's is one of Pasadena's best steakhouses. In fact, I would say the quality of their steaks is comparable to that of Ruth's Chris and Morton's. They have all your classic steaks done to perfection. With the laid back, classy, dim lighted atmosphere, who can't love this place? Hospitality is the key ingredient for any restaurant and this place has plenty of it. The chef himself came out to serve me my steak and waited for me to taste it. He said he wouldn't be satisfied unless I was. Well.. I was beyond satisfied. I was stimulated and aroused! The soft tone music playing in the background and distant noises coming from the bar had me feeling very cozy and quite social. The people who dine/drink here are regulars and very welcoming. Everyone at the bar seems to be really chatty and you could always drop in on a conversation. The bar has a couple of tv's and there always a game on. Just like any other fancy place, the steaks rarely come with side dishes (they do this so you can spend more money!). Even though the sides come in small portions, they are enough for your meal. I suggest you try their homemade potato chips! They're sooo good. I wonder what kinda potato these guys are using because the chips are HUGE! They kick the Lay's chip's ass! The mashed potatoes and asparagus are a must. They are slightly seasoned and it always goes perfect with your meal. Smitty's boasts a pretty good wine selection as well with a laundry list of options. The decor of the place is contemporary with a old fashioned twist. Lots of nice wooden furniture with plants and standing waterfalls. This place is perfect for a date, birthday or celebration. It's a little upscale but dressing up is not required. There is valet parking in the back alley (shopper's lane) next to all the other surrounding restaurants. But I'm not sure how much it is due to my frugal lifestyle (I park down the street!). Smitty's Grill is an interesting combination of upscale dining with home cooking. With dishes like stroganoff, meatloaf and chicken pot pie, it has a really comforting feel. It also has steaks and seafood too- as all of the other Smith Brother's restaurants in Pasadena do. Great service with staff that really care and know their stuff (thanks Chris for being such a great server!). The ambiance is dark and low lit, so its romantic and a little like being in a noir film with old black and white photographs on the walls. The BOOZE (cause that's what we started with!) -Their specialty martini is delish! Its a little dirty with blue cheese stuffed olives! -Justin Cabernet for the wine choice- you can never go wrong with a Justin wine! However, they have a full wine list on the back of the menu that looked amazing. They also had a moscow mule (in the copper cup!) and some other interesting cocktails that I'll have to try next time! The FOOD -We got the fried shrimp and calamari appetizer. It was good, but really light on the shrimp (3 pieces) in comparison to the calamari. It's what you would expect from fried calamari. -The steak special was a hangar steak with mashed potatoes and pearl onions. Very tender and delicious! The whole thing disappeared! -The cioppino seafood stew was ok. It was a lot more greasy than what I was expecting and I felt like a fool trying to crack the crab legs to get the meat out. The legs were softened, so they weren't really cracking. There was only one shrimp in there and tons of white fish and salmon though. Very tasty, although I'd have preferred less oil floating on the top. -The bread pudding dessert. Wonderful! How can you go wrong with bread pudding?? Good service, loud restaurant, walks the line between casual and nice. Convenient valet parking. Looks like it's owned by the same restaurant group that operates the Arroyo Chophouse and the Parkway Grill. Arroyo Chophouse is tops for steak in Pasadena and Smitty's is it's cheaper cousin. We had the petit filet mignon and the new york strip. The new york steak was served with delicious mashed potatoes and the filet arrived with a side of sauteed spinach. We also ordered sides of creamed corn and sauteed mushrooms along with two glasses of pinot noir. Unfortunately both our steaks were way undercooked to our liking. My wife requested medium well and got rare. I requested medium and got rare. My wife's filet was tender but my new york strip was really tough and chewy. Smitty's was not a bad experience by any means, but the quality of the meat wasn't great for $30 steaks. I would have preferred to pay more for ACH's prime quality beef, which I definitely will next time. Perhaps the chicken pot-pie, stroganoff or mac-n-cheese is the way to go at Smitty's. It's Dine LA Week! And since we had the day off and are fans of Pasadena and the Smith Brothers' restaurants, we decided to do lunch at another one of their restaurants. To date, we have been to Parkway Grill, Arroyo Chop House, and Vibrato Jazz and Grill and enjoyed each one of them. This place has more of a business casual feel, it's nicely decorated, lots of booths (which is great because the noise level is loud), and it's theme seems to be wall to wall photos of old celebrities and public figures. I even earned the title of ignoramus of the day, compliments of my better/smarter? half, because I could not recognize the goofy photo of the old guy over our table (I'll try to post that photo of the photo). Ladies beware -- there is also a creepy photo of a nude Burt Reynolds in the restroom. He is lying on a bear skin rug and it's difficult to distinguish which skin is his and which is the bears (not posting that photo, you'll lose your appetite!) Anyway, our server was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We had absolutely no problem with drink refills or check ins -- never once had to search her out or flag her down! My meal was from the DineLA menu -- cornmeal crusted trout and apple walnut bread pudding. I also added a cup of mushroom cream soup and shared fried onion strings with smarty pants who ordered meatloaf as his entree (not part of the DineLA menu). The soup was nothing special, and what's not to like about deep fried onion strings?! However, trout was delicious and had a nice lemony flavor. It was served with brussel sprouts dressed in bacon bits. Normally, I will devour these type of fancy brussel sprouts, but I just made some for dinner the night before, and the serving of trout was quite large, and I still had dessert coming! What's a girl to do?! Sorry sprouts . . . My husband said the meatloaf was ok but he could make better (really? I have never seen him cook anything, microwave yes, cook no!) But I know what he means (I could make better or Trader Joe's). The bread pudding dessert was wonderful! I am such a fan of bread pudding these days, and this one was what one dreams of -- warm, rich, gooey sweetness that makes you want to roll out of the restaurant and onto the sofa with a blankie and a good book or nook or kindle. So overall, the brothers did not disappoint at this location. We enjoyed ourselves enough to come back, especially because they have a great looking filet mignon burger and good lookin chips at the bar. read more

First time here although it seems to be a popular classic around these parts. I even had friends that used to come here for happy hour. There is a nice little cozy bar with complimentary housemade potato chips for your bar sittin' pleasure. But the bar small, so I would imagine seating may be limited at happy hours. The menu had nothing exciting or unique. But they don't claim to have anything unique, but instead brag about offering good American comfort food. But it's pricey comfort food. So if it's all about American classics, then I guess a Cobb Salad and Chicken Pot Pie is the way to go. The chicken pot pie was good, but not exactly pretty. It was in a shallow soup/salad dish with a layer of pie crust across the top. Our crust was raw in the center. When I went to the restroom, I saw another table that had charred crust. Inconsistent, or did they ask for extra cooking? There was no bottom crust, which always makes me feel cheated, but it was otherwise good. It tasted like Swanson's but in a good way. The vegetables were better texture and quality of course, and the chicken was actual shredded pieces instead of those weird processed "chicken squares". So I guess maybe the gravy just had that nostalgic taste. Since I shared the cobb salad, they split it in two dishes for us. My half came out to $8 and it would have been worth $8 if they had just put in more greens. There was hardly any lettuce, so it seems like a small bowl of salad toppings. The greens are the cheap stuff. Be generous! Make it seem huge and way worth the money! I could see myself coming back for a drink and enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The food was good, service was a bit spotty at times and seems a bit expensive. It is more of a special occasion kind of restaurant, I recommend more for that than a random night out. Food was very good! read more

Unbelievable meal, ambiance and service! I never go with a choice from the specials but Moises describes a Kansas style Steak and it was probably the best steak I've ever had. We use to be regulars at Smitty's. That was BK...before kids. I love to come here around the holidays because the decorations are so pretty. I have never had a complaint about the food, the drink, or the service. And neither has the hubs, which is saying a LOT. You have to make a reservation, otherwise you might be waiting a while if it'S a weekend night. But the good news is that the bartenders are great and they offer yummy homemade chips at the bar! Once you sit down, you gotta get the cast iron corn bread. I have dreams about this bread. It is so delicious, you will not regret all the calories and carbs you are consuming! as for mains, I have had a variety of the offerings. I always split the wedge salad with hubby...then move on to MEAT. The prime rib is always good (they are the owners of Parkway Grill and Arroyo Chop House, so you know the meat is top notch). The fish is always fresh. The American comfort food is very.....comforting, especially the burger and the chicken pot pie. The last time around, my hubs decided on this special appetizer that was to.die.for. It was a calamari filet that was stuffed with crab meat and had some special sauce on it. I can only say I should have ordered it as a meal because it melted in my mouth and the combination of flavors was amazing. But I say again, this was a special so I'm not sure when/if it will be on the menu again. I ended with a filet. The steak was perfect but I wish that there had been some veggies to go along with the mashed potatoes. Note--add veggies to your steak plate please, Smittys! Minus one star because while our server was well versed on wine, she didn't know anything about gluten free options and didn't make any recommendations to my friend on that front and in fact, couldn't even tell us that the cheesecake had a crust on it. With all the gluten free eaters out there, it pays to know better. There is street parking or a valet in the back and I recommend the Meritage wine, delicious! read more

Was craving Mac N Cheese... and wanted to try someplace new because... I yelp. So me and JR C came here for my Mac N Cheese craving. SERVICE: Service was actually good. Leslie came by often to check on us and it was her first week on the job. Very nice. The manager came and talked to us. I thought that was nice. Now... the food... :/ FOOD: Mac N Cheese w/ Ham - I was craving some Mac N Cheese like crazy and... was sorely disappointed. I know it wasn't truffled but I knew it'd had to be good cuz Mac N Cheese. The flavor was just bland. I felt like I was just eating plain cheese and noodles. I wish they added more flavors or more cheeses (if they added pepper jack cheese - I think it'd add flavor) but it was really just bland. Chicken Pot Pie - This was better than the Mac N Cheese, but It was very soupy. I cut to get a slice and it was just west and fell apart when I placed it on my plate. The flavor is alright, but the broth should had been thicker. I wish they also added more other stuff into the pie other than chicken. I've had good chicken pot pie before... mmm... Read a ton of reviews before picking a place to celebrate my fiancés 40th bday and step-sons 21st. Planned a night of a show at the Ice House comedy club just down the street and wanted a nearby upscale restaurant to dine before the show, SMITTY's was the place! The service and food were both equally amazing. It was the beginning of an awesome evening. We all ordered different meals, from seafood to steak and salad, it was all delicious. The servers were so attentive and gave the birthday boys a beautiful orchid ...which I kept for myself lol. Bathrooms were clean, which is always a plus. The bar menu was great. We had a nice merlot, scotch, and champagne ...every drink was just as good as the next. To end the night they served the guys birthday ice-cream that was devoured in minutes! Stopped in last night to grab a drink at the bar, and regretted it immediately. First, the bartender ignored us for at least 10 minutes. No greeting, no napkin in front of us, not even eye contact. He finally acknowledged us and told us he would be right with us and then proceeded to help at least three other customers, all of which had already been served/had drinks. He never came back by or asked what we wanted, so I decided I would confirm with the hostess again if we were actually allowed to sit there and order because we still hadn't been helped (going on twenty minutes at this point). The hostess apologized and asked us what we wanted to drink and eventually a different bartender came over and helped us. Mind you, the original bartender was still ignoring us. We finally got our drinks (two unoriginal Moscow mules for almost $40, not worth it) and then when we asked for our check, the bartender proceeded to help another two customers before finally bringing it to us. It was a terrible experience and I will just say that if you ever come here, don't go to the bar. The bartender was legitimately horrible at his job. Good bartenders should be efficient, friendly, and welcoming and he was none of the above unfortunately. read more

Sure Smitty's has great steaks and prime rib, but have you tried their burgers? I've been here a few times with friends and colleagues for lunch and their burgers are undeniably outstanding. My personal favorite is their Smokehouse burger. This whopping bad boy is packed with great flavors, juicy and so delicious. The mild sweetness and tanginess from the applewood bacon and rattlesnake sauce truly elevates the flavor of the burger. For a more perfectly crafted and ridiculously good burger, their fillet mignon burger is sumptuously seasoned and topped with a slightly uncivilized pile of blue cheese and fried onion straws. The rich, complex flavors and complementary soft textures will leave you smiling in sure delight and sinful joy. Like all good steaks and burgers, overcooking the meat is sacrilege so make sure to ask for medium. Burgers and sandwiches come with a side of fries or can be substituted for other side items. The cream spinach and coleslaw are superb. No reservations or in a hurry, just sit at the bar for quick service and enjoy their addictingly good homemade potato chips with a nice cold beer or beverage. They even have a few TV's for watching the game. My husband and I are on a stay-cation- we live in South Pas and went all the way to Pasadena for our trip- staying at the Langham. We decided to make this a tourists visit by going to all the best known places thus Smittys. What a bad decision! I have been here a handful of times over the years and its been unremarkable- I understand the draw for the staunch older Pasadenian crowd- really basic dishes, great wine list, crabby bartender. We were one of the three tables been served. There were a couple of servers and at least 4 users. It took us forever to order drinks, then even longer to place our order. I ordered the Smitty's salad which was shrimp, green beans, lettuces, blah blah blah- the shrimp was frozen and the ones that were barely thawed were tasteless. The dressing seemed more sour than a vinegarette should be and the tomatoes were mushy. I sent it back and got the crab cakes which were nothing like to ones you see posted here. They were cocky pucks that were also frozen/defrosted. TERRIBLE! For the prices they charge, they should be ashamed of this quality of product! My husband had the prime rib and it was nice but the baked potato seemed to be a couple of days old. He asked for additional horseradish and waited and waited and waited until a user came brand I asked him for it. It came promptly and he apologized profusely. Mind you this entire time there was no sign of our server ERICA. None. She was MIA for at least 20 minutes. when she finally made the rounds to our table after chatting up a "regular" my husband ordered dessert and a macchiato. again, we waited and waited and waited when she brought the dessert, it was melted and had mad a mess over the side of the dish onto a plate. At that point I mentioned my frustration for her delays and she immediately apologized with a very stern voice and was actually super intense. i asked her about the coffee and she acted like I have just reminded her, like basically I saw the light bulb above her head. She immediately went to the bar tendered and yelled for a cappuccino. ZOIKS! It arrived and we said nothing... Later the manager came over but at that point the damage was done- this person could care less about taking care of us. The bus staff was exceptional and they should be the servers, to be honest but lets be real, they want what they think is a cute lady. Thi\e biggest shame is that we are on a staycation...we know of and frequent so many great restaurants in the area. The choices are unlimited and because of COVID we wanted to keep our money in our community and help out local business. This was such a huge disappointment! I have some good memories here and have brought out of owners here because of the Smith brothers legacy and reputation in Pasadena but I am so sorry that I have to make this review in the hopes that management will truly be more aware and insure that customers are taken care of. read more

Nice dinner (4.5 stars) Smitty's Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Pasadena. It's a nice local eatery. We always make Open Table reservations, and end up street or a few blocks away for parking. We often are seated within minutes after checking in, and we love Judy, a wonderful server. Of course we start with cocktails: Grey Goose Cosmo, and Moscow Mule. The bread is delicious, with soft butter. The salads were nice: blue cheese and ranch. We each got a glass of Mary Edwards Pinot Noir with dinner. Between the lobster and sea bass, dinner was delicious. The lobster came with asparagus and spinach. The sea bass came with mashed potatoes and spinach. The sea bass was delicious, and lobster was delicious. Luckily Judy grabbed the wine bottle and poured nice full glasses for us both. It was a wonderful dinner, and no room for dessert. Yes, it's definitely worth coming back. read more

I had the Lake Superior Whitefish and it was just ok. The fish was a little soft and mushy. It was seasoned nicely though. I ordered this dish because there were a couple of raving reviews of the whitefish. I'm guessing the Whitefish I had probably wasn't as fresh as what these other reviews had.I wish I had ordered something else. I also had the cornbread and it was also ok. More crumbly than moist. It was also pretty heavy for an appetizer so it was like eating a cake before dinner. The Service was pretty good. This is an update 2 days after my review was posted. The owner, Greg Smith, responded to my review and was very concerned about my experience. This speedy response speaks highly for this restaurant! Thank you Greg Smith for addressing my review. Came for DineLA $39 dinner menu that comes with a soup of the day, appetizer, entree, and dessert. SMITTY GRILL SALAD - chopped romaine with cranberries, cucumbers, and cornbread croutons - nothing special except the croutons BONELESS SHORT RIB - comes with a side of mashed potatoes and steamed zucchini veggies - the short rib was tender and accompanied with a gravy-like sauce - the mashed potatoes were ok and not too buttery - overall, decent dish but nothing to rave about DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE - moist and not too decadent - I did enjoy the chocolate creme but resisted since it's a new year and I had made New Year Resolutions... SERVICE: a bit lacking. Maybe it's because it's Dine LA or just a busy Saturday. We had made reservations for 8:00pm but were not seated until 8:20pm. After we had ordered our food, it took about 30 minutes for our food to be served. One of my friends ordered the Petite Filet medium but received well-done. Another friend also had the short rib but hers was cold and dry. We didn't get our waters refilled until the end of our dinner. ENVIRONMENT: the main dining area may be pretty loud since the bar is also very close by and many tables in a tight place. The lighting is a bit dim that sometimes it was hard to read the menu. The back outdoor patio is nicely decorated. Overall, good bang for your buck Dine LA menu. The other appetizers (Cheese bread and bacon and cheddar dip) were large enough to share amongst 3 people. I'd be surprised if anyone could finish it all themselves. The service and quality of the food was ok. Can't complain about valet parking being FREE though. As with all restaurants Smith Bros have had, service was exceptional going back as far as the Reflections days. Was by myself so sat at the bar, had a couple drinks and the Chicken Pot Pie. Durr, I dun likes my pot pie and sum of dat rang'a'dang meat loaf, but I just can't help but to always compare these places against your good ole fast food chain for the staple American foods, and that's Boston Market. I had the meat loaf which I thought was jus' aiiiggght, but I was content with it even though I was fantasizing about how I could have had the rough equivalent for under $10's at Boston Market. The pot pie adhere's to the adage bigger is better cuz it came in the biggest, yet deceivingly shallow bowl because us American's just love big. Forget that the edge was all crust cuz that sho' don't matter cuz did I tell you that it was BIG! Like Francine/Jessyca said the crab cakes were "deep fried ball of crab".... well said. All the food is solid for your typical vittles, but it's not stellar although I'll have to go back for a second help'n' to really get down to the nitty gritty for the down-low on how this place really stacks up. I wanted to like Smitty's. It came highly recommended and it always seems filled to capacity whenever we've passed by. But after trying both the Prime Rib and the Ribeye I'm a bit underwhelmed. They both came out overcooked, overly dry, and lacking in taste. It's as if I tried to cook these. Sure, I would still eat it, but I definitely wouldn't pay someone for second-rate fare. The sides were alright, but when you come out to a place like this you expect more of the entrees. When you have as many options for grilled items, you can definitely better than Smitty's. read more

Braised short ribs & prime rib. Winter squashes/ asparagus veggie side. Delicious. Large portions. I was initially peeved they forgot our appetizer-- skillet corn bread but the salads & meals were more than enough food for two. No teeth needed for short ribs, flavorful--tangy. Prime rib did need some incisors action & mastication. It's an a-ok dish. Crowded for a Thursday night-- no power in nearby neighborhoods so lots of locals were indulging in their comfort foods. I just had the most amazing meal ever! Baked whitefish wit soft mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. The front patio was the perfect setting for this amazing California meal. Unfortunately the pesky flies outside ruined my vibe. Do you know how hard it is to try and eat a delicious meal while shooing away flies??? So annoying! So gross!! Aside from that our server was great, very kind. I will definitely be back because I love this place. I just wish next time maybe they can put out some citronella candles...something...please!! Two words "Corn Bread"! It comes in it's hot iron thingy...and I'm sure it's full of butter. I had dinner here for the first time earlier this year after my last visit which was a million years ago (2 actually). I used to work in Pasadena and frequent this place. The corn bread was exactly the same as I remembered it! The steaks were good and the sides were awesome as usual. But one bad thing happened. Wine...I ordered a bottle of pinot or cab, I don't quite remember, but it was bad. The bartender came back to tell us their whole batch of this was bad and so I ordered something else. On my way to the restroom I noticed their wine storage...and made an assumption. Certain wines (normal table wines) were not being stored correctly. Hence the wine went bad. -1 star for that. read more

*sigh* Diet fails again. My friend took me here for dinner just because and I have to say it was an amazing dinner. Got seated in this booth that's awkwardly large but it gave us a lot of table room for all of the food we ordered...oh brother. The waitress was so patient with us because we kept talking and didn't look at the menu! She kept coming around to check on us but wasn't rushing us. So sweet. I ordered some salmon special with veggies and he had the crab salad. Both were SO GOOD and fresh!!! The true star was the corn bread...holy moly. It's served still in a skillet and is perfectly sweet and savory. Onion strings are amazing and the creme brulee...HEAVENLY!!!! The restaurant is soooo dark so it's kinda dangerous walking around or maybe just because I wore 4 inch wedges. The crowd is a bit older but it's a classy joint. The first thing I noticed about Smitty's menu, I wanted to try almost everything listed. That says a lot already. Our server was awesome and very accommodating, even comping us the corn bread b/c my friend wasn't a real cornbread aficionado. We tried the corn bread (a must), ahi tuna (okay), short rib osso bucca style (yummy, fall off the bone), macaroni & cheese with ham (good), and a tasty dessert that I liked but can't seem to remember whatsoever. I went to Smitty's for the first time a couple weekends ago, and I was very impressed. My friend had made reservations ahead of time and so we walked right in and a booth was ready for us. We were immediately greeted by our waiter (I think his name was Josh?) Josh was great! Throughout the night, he continuously refilled our drinks and was very willing to help us out when we couldn't decide what to order. I'm super indecisive when it comes to picking food, but he recommended a couple options and I ended up choosing the garlic herb chicken. It was delicious! (It was also ginormous in size, but I'm not complaining... I got to take home leftovers!) The chicken was juicy, and had so much flavor. Along with the chicken, came mashed potatoes and broccolini which were great additions. Also worth mentioning, the bean dip and cornbread are great appetizers. Josh recommended both of them to us and we finished them off! Josh (or whatever his name was- sorry if your name wasn't Josh!) did not steer us wrong with the appetizers, and I'm glad we listened to him. I'm always apprehensive when it comes to ordering sides and extra food, because most of the time it just seems like the waiter or waitress is trying to scam you into buying more food than you could ever eat. However, Josh helped us to figure out what we wanted and he definitely gained our trust with his recommendations. He made it seem like we were his friends and he was just helping a friend out with some solid advice.... (food advice, that is... :)) After the appetizer and main course, we ordered a slice of chocolate cake to split. Josh had told us it's his wife's favorite so we decided to give it a try. The cake did not disappoint (just so you know- I'm a huge chocolate lover, so it is pretty chocolatey.) Overall, we enjoyed Smittys and I will be back! Smittys has a great atmosphere and you can see why so many of the customers are regulars. And maybe next time, I will get a slice of that chocolate cake all to myself. :) read more

I love the old fashioned classy atmosphere of high booths and cozy tables. The prices are kind of high, 16 ounce New York bone in, $60. Brussels sprout went back for more cooking. Love the music. Tried the salad with Asian pear, shared it, delightful. Tried the smitty salad with shrimp, shrimp not bay shrimp but medium small, liked the other flavors in the salad. I hear their homemade potato chips are generous and yummy but I have not yet tried them. I went here the day my husband died and it was very comforting- I had their famous fried chicken and a couple glasses of sparkling. I will always have good thoughts about this place!! I recommend this place for special occasions when you are in Pasadena. It is now the place to go after mantises symphony but it does not open until 5 pm. read more

Came here few times for company lunch also for Restaurant week. A bit fancy for lunch but companies treat I don't mind! Great for group gatherings and I love their outdoor patio seating a lot of natural lighting. I was a bit disappointed of the chicken pot pie as it was hyped up on Yelp. First of all its a huge portion for one person so make sure to share. The chicken was a bit dry for me. The Cornmeal Crusted Idaho Rainbow Trout was moist but a bit salty for me. Funny everyone but one person ordered this at our table so we weren't able to taste the different food options on the menu for Restaurant week. read more
