It's been quite a while since I have hit Pinocchio's so when I was looking for a good Happy Hour spot and saw that their's hadn't changed much in the last decade or so that made up my mind. Nothing like a good pie and ice cold Barley Pop on a solo afternoon out. It was 3:30 and the place was empty. I was greeted by Fabi at the bar. He was quick to get me a set-up, menu(s) and water. Looking over the Happy Hour menu I noticed that the beer price that they advertised on their website was different than what's on the menu. I asked about this and showed Fabi. He phoned his manager and told me that the website had not been updated, but they would honor that ad......bottle beer only. Cool! I ordered my pie.....Pepperoni and Pineapple, and got a cold Stella. Soon the place was getting busy and Fabi was dealing with phones and a wave of customers. He handled himself very well. Then Gianna got there and she really stepped up (for a brand new employee) to give him a hand and made sure that everything ran smoothly. My Pizza came out and I was more than pleased. Loaded with tasty Pepperoni and sweet Pineapple, it was cooked perfectly well done (like I ordered). Added the gratuitous Parmigiana and Red Chile Flakes and I was in Heaven. The staff were also friendly and checked up on us multiple times if we needed anything. The spaghetti for the chicken parmigiana was al dente and the sauce was tasty. The chicken had a nice thin breading and the mozzarella on top was really good. Next, I got the hot honey pepperoni pizza. It had ricotta cheese. I love hot honey and it is so perfect with the mini pepperoni cups. There's a good crisp to the pizza and I didn't feel like it was too greasy which a lot of hot honey pizzas are. I've been going here since 1993 and everything is so good. Pizza yummy, lasagna, delicious cheesecake amazing. The salads are fresh and delicious. Ranch is always homemade. Flowers courtesy of the mom-to-be's friend, Erica Peña.... Gorgeous fresh floral arrangements!!! There was so much great tasting food: salads, pastas, etc. The event space is perfectly ideal for parties like ; birthdays, anniversaries, bridal/bachelorette parties, retirement & of course baby showers. There were easily 200 people in this room. The restrooms were clean & well maintained. The staff were efficient & helpful. It was such a lovely reception & what a feast for the eyes!!
