Meh. Overall I like the size and general look of the place but was underwhelmed. Decent seasonal mule, daydreamer beer was fine. The food sounds better than it is. The tots and the sweet potato fries were soggy. The vibe was odd. Lots of middle aged, older customers but they were playing bad hip hop and EDM music? Might try again another time but lots of other options in the area so probably not. Servers were friendly though. read more

We frequent this establishment and have since they opened, we figured it was high time for a review. Lets start by saying the new menu is AMAZING! Lots to choose from but last night i wasn't super hungry so i thought I'd try the bone in wings. I chose the hot honey sauce. Those wings were fried to perfection and tossed in some of the most amazing sauce I've ever had. Perfectly sweet with some heat. So good! I have been here a fewtimes and Rachel has been my server each time. She has the best taste in beer having recommended the ESB which is also my favorite style. It's as good as any ESB I have had in recent memory. As for food I can recommend the Italian chopped salad. It's an Italian sub minus the bread roll. Ham, salami lettuce and banana peppers which are the perfect counterpoint to the dressing. Come to smocktown, you won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped in to one of my favorite breweries tonight...and was thoroughly disappointed. We didn't have a lot of time but wanted to stop in for a beer because they brought back the Lapdog Lager, one of our faves. We sat at the bar, and not one single employee even looked at or spoke to us. Certain tables were getting service. The male bartender was painfully slow at making cocktails. After 15 minutes of being completely ignored, we left. Our last couple visits have been disappointing...The beer is fantastic. The staff, not so much. read more

My husband and I were in the area and figured we would stop in. We walked in just minutes after opening and I think we surprised the bartender, and he didn't seem thrilled we were there so quickly after opening. We sat at the bar, and it didn't take long for a few more people to show up. I offered an IPA, and it bought it was really good. We talked about ordering food, but I'm glad we didn't because it turned out to be incredible slow service. At one point the bartender just let for 20 minutes and came back and it was clear he went on a smoke break. I think this is a cute place with a lot of potential. As a southsider, I'm pretty disappointed in myself that I'd never been to Smocktown before now. I joined my sister in a social put on by her workout facility. There were roughly 20-25 people (hanging at the attic) and there was ONE server. I emphasize that not in a negative way, but more so because she rocked it. Aside from us, there were at least 3-4 other small groups also there. There was a bit of a wait on drinks at times, but she certainly cranked them out! We also ordered food, which I'd heard was hit or miss. I got the buffalo chicken dip. I'm not sure I really had any chicken, but I devoured it nonetheless. I really look forward to visiting more often. read more

Cuban sandwich was awesome. So far, there are two great beers! Rachel does a great job.

3 times we have been, each time we hoped for better service. Food is good, beer is good. Service, well if we could give negative stars we would. The staff honestly has no idea how to wait tables, bartenders seem very lost most of the time. Don't try to make eye contact with staff, they will turn their heads and ignore you. If you plan on visiting it will require extreme patience. Oh and just a recommendation, move the chalkboard with the beer listings to another location. Having it located where the staff enters the bar is inefficient. People gather around that area to read it and it basically clutters that area. read more

This is a very nice neighborhood bar. They support live local music. Good service, good grub, too.

What a cute spot in greenwood. This place is unique because it also has a speakeasy called attic hardware. It's nice because they share a menu so no matter where you're seated you can order off the food menu. They also have a cute outdoor patio for the brewery and the speakeasy. Let me tell y'all about Smocktown Brewery. Nestled on Main St in Old Town Greenwood. It's a beautiful space. Industrial and modern with charm. In the warmer months there's a roll up door that they open and a patio/deck at the back of the building. Fancy a seat outside even though it's a cold wintery evening... pop into one of their heated igloos. They also have live music on Saturday nights. If you're looking for a more intimate cocktail lounge vibe venture upstairs to the Attic Hardware lounge. You'll be in fantastic hands with Mary and Charles. I have yet to try the food but will soon. The craft cocktails are absolutely delicious! The old fashioned and Kentucky mule are my faves. But I feel what makes a place are the people and Coco and Syd have my heart. They are warm and friendly and run that bar like the pros they are! Smocktown has quickly become a home base space for me. read more

We finally ended up meeting some friends to watch the Colts game a few weeks back... it also ended up being Singo Bingo night :) The staff was friendly and got around to us after a few minutes. they have a decent amount of their own beer and do flights. no complaints on the beer, good variety. The inside of the place isn't huge, but has high ceilings and feels open. We snagged a variety of food; burgers, nachos, skewers. again, all pretty good for their limited kitchen. Went here on a Saturday late afternoon and the place had a decent amount of customers which was a good first sign. There was "inside" tables but they had the big door open up front so it was really more of a shaded section versus a/c. There is a back patio and an upstairs that is accessed from the patio. We chose to sit out back on the patio and there was plenty of seats with umbrellas to provide shade. We were told when first arrived that we had to go to the bar for service, which didn't bother me at all. Every time that I went the bartender was fairly busy but was quick and efficient to get the drinks out. Between the four of us we wound up trying a decent amount of the various beers on tap that were brewed by them. All of them were quite good, but my favorite was the dark beer they had. I wish I could remember the name, but the closest I'm gonna get is "stoatian" which may have like 5 letters in common with the actual beer that I had :). You know it was good beer when you have so many that you can't remember the name. There is a really small kitchen and an outside griddle where they cook smash burgers. We had a couple of orders of the pretzel bites and could actually watch the cook make them from our place on the patio. Overall the food was pretty good, but not as great as the beers. They were selling a decent amount of burgers so they must be decent, I just can't give firsthand experience. Parking is via a large shared lot on the SW corner of main and Madison. Plenty of parking usually, but do remember that during the summer there is a "car show" on Saturdays that occurs during good weather. That can definitely fill the lot up and make parking more challenging. Not the establishments fault at all, just more of a heads up to other people that might be going here. Overall this was a great local brewery experience and I can't wait to go back. I just wish I had a spouse/more friends that liked beer! read more

Love this local spot and they have great sandwiches. Hubs is pretty obsessed with their chili, baked Italians and Cubano sandwiches. Here's the thing, they have a VERY small kitchen and limited staff. Do not be in a hurry and come here to grab a sandwich on your way to an appointment. You will be either late or leave hungry. This is a place you just gotta embrace time passing by. Enjoy a beer, play on your phone or watch some sports and when it comes out, devour that delicious sandwich. read more

It being the Fourth of July weekend, the blueberry sour was delivered upon a let's see if I'll like it sample. I found my order quite delightful. Honey opted for an amber type of brew. Both of us enjoyed our adult refreshments. Can't determine if it's our age or our own what knots (mb both ), we decided to take ourselves upstairs to a more intimate setting. The music that's played upstairs in the speakeasy is precisely as it outta seem. What's played is a jazzier flavor of tunes. Best part is that neither one of us had to repeat ourselves to each other or text one another for a reply. Mb we sat next to the speaker downstairs come to think about it today ;) Tho the blueberry sour wasn't available upstairs, we enjoyed ourselves just the same. The setting is cozy & relaxing. The furniture selection meets the tone in the event you're on a date. Each person has the ability to wonder about without the pitfalls of knocking themselves into someone else or impeding into another conversation. I love that aspect of this venue. Outdoors, the decks are very pretty & well thought out in terms of their arrangements. My most favorite part, the live geraniums (natural bug repellent). To the best of my knowledge, we didn't get bit by mosquitoes. Yippee When you decide to exit, you're able to do so outside as well. The outer perimeter stairs are well defined. Once downstairs, you'll be greeted by yet another area of staff too, how fun is that? Lots! And bc you're gonna see more of the brick of this beautiful building & more of downtown Greenwood. Parking is available across the way between Madison/Main streets (SW corner). At present, this area has construction going on. Don't fret, perhaps take Surina by Napa Automotive/Dollar General. You'll pass Jockamo's (a wonderful place too) & ta da you'll see parking available & it's free. This area of businesses will be something big very soon IMO. Greenwood, IN has diversified itself in a way I'm proud to see IRL. So appreciative to whomever over sees this area of Greenwood! I feel completely safe. read more
