Just tried for the first time on a Saturday night. Sadly, they did not have any stouts, porters, or really anything of the dark variety on tap, so I settled for their Santeria ($6.50), which was fine. If you like pale ales, they seemed to have a lot of those. Wife tried a canned cider called Blakes ($8), but said it tasted like they added fake apple flavoring to it and she would not get it again. We split the Cheese Curds ($12), Pretzel Bites ($11), and Nachos ($18). It was a lot of food and we brought a decent bit of the cheese curds and pretzels home. The ranch that came with the curds was fine, the house queso with the bites was pretty good. We finished the nachos there figuring they wouldn't work well as a leftover. They tasted fine, but the toppings were somewhat concentrated in placement, so we had to move the chips around to access the empty chips or the chips that were overloaded. They do not skimp on the jalapenos. Service was pretty good. Lio did a nice job checking in on us throughout the meal. Food and beverages were delivered promptly. Checking out and paying went swiftly as well. The space itself is not the biggest and a tad peculiar in its narrow and turned features. They do try to use it efficiently between their high-tops and tables for 2 and 4 along the walls and in the middle of the space. It was still daylight outside, but there were definite dark areas due to the shape of the room. Acoustics were a little rough also as one loud table essentially dominated the volume of the room. There's no designated parking for the place, but there is a decent bit of free street parking surrounding the store along either of the roads that intersect around it. Wouldn't be opposed to returning, but probably wouldn't make a special trip. read more

Chilly Water Brewing Company ended up being a great stop! The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was delicious, and they have a huge drink selection to choose from. I ordered the Ring of Fire pressed sandwich with salami, ham, capicola, chipotle aioli, provolone, and banana peppers. It had just the right amount of heat and was packed with flavor. If you're a blood orange fan like I am, do yourself a favor and order the Blood on the Tracks--it was easily one of my favorite beers of the visit. The service was fantastic from start to finish, and I really liked that there was plenty of seating both indoors and on the patio. As an added bonus, the patio is dog-friendly, so getting to watch all the pups hanging out with their humans made the experience even better. We stopped here for lunch since the weather was so fine and they have outside seating. Our wait person was terrific so we were off to a great start. For lunch we both chose the special of 'pick two'. Ring of Fire sandwich and a salad, Red pepper soup and a grilled cheese. Both lunches were very good. The grilled cheese was provolone on your dough. The bread is very good but I would have chosen a more flavorful cheese. I think all of their beers are house made. RRR tried the Dark Side of Munich which he said is okay, a weak German beer. What a great find! We were walking around the fountain square and stopped in this brewery. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and asked if we had been before. Since we hadn't they gave us samples of what was on tap. After selecting what we wanted we sat an inside table. There we noticed the fun CDs that is their drink menu! We were just going to have a drink but after looking at the food menu we had to order something! We got the fried pickles. They were good- pickle slices and I think bread with corn meal because the breading seemed to be sweet. If you are in the area, you can also walk across the street to Hotel Tango ( another great place) and Four Fingers is just on the other corner! We are in town for DCI. My husband wanted to try this brewery. I ordered the jive turkey with chili as my side. Wow! One of the best chili I've ever had. The sandwich was very good. Chilly water has a solid, if not incredibly creative, portfolio of beers. Their presentation, however, is extremely creative. The beers are presented in a fun little CD wallet, the ones we all used to have in the 90s. I appreciated that they had multiple lagers on tap. Came here with a large group on a Saturday around 3:00. We all planned to only order 1 beer then head out. The bartender was extremely rude and made it known that he was irritated we came with so many people. It made the experience extremely awkward and we felt very unwelcome. Nobody in our party was rushing him or being rude to him, had he explained nicely that he was the only bartender and things might be a little slow we would have been extremely understanding (especially since most people in the party have worked in the service industry). Lots of original entree choices but since it was my first time I stuck with the chicken sandwich. Loved that it was a thigh and not a dried out frozen chicken breast. You can choose the glaze and based on the servers recommendation I went with the Asian option since it paired well with the slaw. So so good!!! And the fries were exactly what they needed to be...hot and crispy with a seasoning that enhanced the flavor without being overwhelming. This would be 5 stars except that as lovely as the salad looked a lot of the mixed greens were slimy. I picked through the veggies but couldn't eat most of it. I didn't event need the salad since I was full from the sandwich and fries. Looking forward to trying the Jive Turkey sandwich that my friend ordered! Do not judge a book by its cover. Typically when it comes to breweries, the food can be pretty hit or miss as their main focus is brewing the good stuff. Well let me tell you they care about food here. Let's start with the most important thing. Their sweet chili Brussel sprouts may be the best in the state of Indiana. We check this place out after an event in Fountain Square and really enjoyed it. They had a special Oktoberfest menu that my wife ordered from that was tasty. I visited Chilly Water Brewing Company at the exact right time: It was lunchtime on a Tuesday, there were only a few people in the restaurant, the World Cup was on the TV and it was Mexico vs Poland, I got the exact right thing to eat, I got the exact right thing to drink, the server was nice but fast and efficient, and the atmosphere was super laid back. All of the things you want in a restaurant visit happened. Worlds collided in the best possible way, which culminated in an excellent dining experience. Regarding the exact right thing to eat: I got the BLT, mostly because I love bacon sandwiches, but also because it said on the menu that the sandwich was made with Amelia's bread. Amelia's is just down the street from Chilly Water, which is cool because I love eating locally, but also Amelia's makes amazing bread. This wasn't a difficult meal decision to make. the sandwich came with my choice of a side, and I chose seasoned waffle fries, which were great. I got a Chilly Water beer (Mama Tried) on tap, and it was so good. It came with a lime wedge, and it tasted almost like a Corona. It was light and refreshing, and a good choice for me at that time because I was coming off a three-hour stint of volunteering with the city and I was a little parched and this beer perked me right up. The service here was excellent and professional, and there was very little wait to get my drink and food. I got a cherry Garcia stout, a Porter, and the wings. The food here is always ok. But their Mac & Cheese is VERY GOOD. The wings were really good too. They always have a small selection of beer, but they have a good variety in that selection. They also change the beer menu up through the seasons. The staff is always friendly and they are always pretty quick unless it's SUPER busy. There's a patio and a cozy inside area. The location is great. The wife and I were driving down 135 on the southside and noticed there was a Chilly Waters brewing Company. We had been to the one in fountain Square and liked it so we decided to stop in and see if they were open. Ben was the bartender very pleasant guy and helped guide us through our beer selection. We had not planned on drinking a beer there, but he made the selection so interesting we had to have one. My wife likes lighter beers, and the Mexican lager fit her perfectly. She loved it. I like IPAs and the one hop wonder was delicious. The brewery was pretty small and had about five or six high top tables and a long, big bar. Ben, the bartender again went over the food menu. Met friends for a beer after a long day of vendor activities on Mass Avenue. I was lucky enough to grab a spot in Virginia Avenue just a short distance away. My friends grabbed a table outside on a beautiful Saturday evening. The menu was available by scanning a QR Code...I found it a bit confusing so I asked about their wings. Our waiter, Chris, suggested blue cheese wings so I ordered a pound to share. The beer my friend, Juan was drinking looked refreshing so I ordered one as well. Pera ordered chicken nachos to share. The inside is hip and inviting, the music was all classics and enjoyable. The food was great. I really enjoyed the chicken ceasar wrap- the chicken was crispy and the dressing was very tasty. Chilly Water has a nice selection of awesome beer. My favorite is Lima Ranchera and I will run there when it's on tap. Service is always great plus they have outdoor tables which are perfect for summer! They recently switched kitchens and I finally was able to try the new food. It was phenomenal! The menu isn't super extensive but I have no doubt that every item is delicious so you can't go wrong. The great food here will have me coming back for lunch and dinner and not just to grab a beer! Someone from our party asked what the sweetest cider was and the server responded "I don't know, I don't drink them." A good quality cheesesteak is something I've been wishing for in Indy and I think I've finally found it; great options of cheese and toppings, and the hoagie is soft and delicious. Located in the fountain square area, you've got to check out Chilly Water. They've got a lovely outdoor seating area and often times will have live music out there too. Indoors they've got plenty of seating and a great atmosphere. The staff is great and the menu has a little bit of everything for everyone. We had the spicy fire on the mining with the stuffed peppers and both were tasty. For the vegans and vegetarians out there, I'm confident you can make something on the menu work for you! In my opinion the proportion of pita and veggies to dip was slightly off, however they do load up the hummus which is great. Chilly water also has space next to their main dining area where you can reserve private events and such. If you're a beer drinker you should check out some of their offerings.
