When I finally called, I was told they had ordered the wrong part. After about a week without my car, I was charged roughly $1,500 just to get the A/C blowing cold again. When I picked the car up, I immediately discovered both headlights were out. I had to replace the bulbs myself. I brought the car back and asked about it, but they weren't able to determine what caused the issue. Fast forward 7 months, and the A/C failed again. They replaced the compressor a second time. A few days later, while on a trip to the Sierras, the car suddenly lost electrical power--power steering, brakes, and multiple warning lights all came on. I was barely able to get it safely off the road in Jamestown and had to have it towed home. While preparing to replace the alternator and serpentine belt (given the mileage), I discovered several concerning issues: the main power wire to the alternator was floppy loose, the battery negative cable was not properly tightened, and a wire routing clip near the alternator wasn't secured. Since access to the A/C compressor typically involves working in that area, it raises serious concerns about the quality of the previous work. I can't say with absolute certainty what caused everything, but the timing and condition of these components make it hard to ignore. Overall, this was a frustrating and concerning experience--poor communication, repeat repairs, and workmanship issues that could have led to a dangerous situation. I would recommend others proceed with caution.

This was one of the few times that I had used Yelp's project feature to find a mechanic. Robles's auto repair was the quickest to reply and also ended up having one of the most competitive prices. Using the project feature of Yelp allowed me to stay in constant communication with Gabriel. I was kept abreast of the repairs on my vehicle and they even stuck around a little after hours to make sure I could get my car after the repairs were done. That Stockton traffic can be a doozy. The issue with my vehicle was a leak in the radiator that Mercedes said would cost $2400 to repair at the dealership, but with Robles's auto repair, I was able to do it for under $800. The parts in general are not what's expensive just my model and Mercedes has a lot of pieces that have to be removed to get access to the radiator. Now my car is running great and I should be good for a long time. When someone is stranded, especially with a young child, reliability and honesty matter. I pay for roadside assistance benefits specifically for situations like this, and Scenic Towing completely failed to provide the service they promised.
