Bought a Jeep that was non op for a while and the CAT test wasn't quite ready to pass. Jaime was super helpful by suggesting I drive it 300 or more miles and since it hasn't been registered yet he was kind enough to write on the paperwork "needs to be driven" in case I got pulled over. He tested it for me a couple more times at no cost and then when it was ready and passed he gave me my cert. and helped me figure out why my brake lights weren't working. I thought there was an electrical problem but Jaime suggested changing the brake switch and it worked. He saved me a lot of grief time and money, not to mention ladies he smells really good and is very easy on the eyes ;) and he was nice to my dog. I actually wrote a 5-star review for this place two years ago. It was my first review ever, and I deleted it. I felt it was unfair to rate a place that is completely service-based on a single visit. Well, I came back, and while Travis is no longer affiliated with the business, the service from Ken was just as fast and friendly. I was in and out in 14 minutes, just like with my previous visit. I didn't print the coupon (again) and still he applied the discount. This place is a bit unassuming as it's in a business park. Look for the I Love Bagels shop on the corner, as it's straight back towards the train tracks from that. In two years, I will be back. I got here before another person but his truck was newer so I was kindly asked if I did not mind waiting and let truck guy go first. The newer truck will probably be quicker to test so I didn't mind. First of all, I appreciated the social distancing and mask reminders posted all over the shop. Shows that they care about the customers. Anyway, I took my van here (96 windstar..I know, I should get rid of this soon). Reason was out of all the stores I called, this one was one of the most inexpensive (60$ vs some 80, 90$ quotes I got). The test also did not take too long (maybe I shouldn't have let that other guy go first. lol) and it passed. Will definitely go back here again for future tests. read more

Pulled in at 8:55am on a Tuesday morning. Hours stated they were open from 9am-6pm. I also called the day before to confirm and let the guy that answered know that I'd be there first thing in the morning. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP TO OPEN THE SHOP. It's now over an hour later at 10:06am and no one is still here. I'm extremely surprised since I came here because of all the good reviews I guess I chose a bad day. When I arrived there was only 1 other person there and their car was already being tested. I sat in the lobby and waited. After 40 minutes of waiting a man came into the lobby and told me he can't test my car because he wouldn't be done before 4. It's the upper 80s today and their facility does not offer AC, water or a bathroom. Less than ideal for sure. They also do not offer a free retest like so many other local places. Personally, I think there are better options out there for the same price. read more

The Lady dragged me on my day off to get a smog check with her. I only came because she assured that there's a nice waiting room with AC running. She wasn't lying! Looks like there's only 1 person working here and he's always in the back. There's really no way to call him to the front when you arrive, so just sit and relax in the AC room until he emerges from the back. The smog check itself was fairly typical.
